Ive only ever had flu once before as a child, feels very similar except I was more feverish and was hallucinating as a child. I still remember the vivid dreams now.

I'm laid up on the couch, and even typing is a struggle, feel as though I'm wading through water. But I'm bored too. I'm struggling to sleep because I'm so congested. It's like a vice squeezing my skull.

It's also the time of the month, so I'm grttjng stomach cramps ( I don't usually) and I crushed my little finger in the door jamb last night when I had to hold on. It was stuck and bruised straight away.

    I'm so cheerful lol

Freespirit I was thinking of your daughter or maybe it's your dil? last night when I was sore, and wondered if she was still in pain after having the baby and if they got to teh bottom of it? X

  • Evening everyone, i have just ordered DD2s christmas present in the Thomas Sabo sale, a bracelet and a charm both 50% off so another one out of the way :D:D i cant believe how many i have managed to get in the sales, and i can only afford it because 2 months free council tax and water rates, i only need to get DS and DD2s OH and my friend, so 3!!!!! for christmas now woo hoo that will save a lot of worrying and stressing for me this year, DD2 has another catch up morning at work tomorrow so i have little man again :)

PRINCESSKITTY did you have your quiet day at home today? Doesnt it go quickly, i know i have 3 kids, but with little man it just seems to be shooting by :o DD2 took him to RhymeTime today but he didnt like it he cried except when two songs came on that his mummy sings to him Old Macdonald Has A Farm and Row Row Row Your Boat he instantly smiled and listened then cried again :D:D and he isnt a crying sort of baby usually, so dont know if he was just tired or really didnt like the noise haha

NIC yes i have only ever had flu once as well thank god, and having AF as well poor you, i hope you feel better real soon. Yes it was DD2 who was in pain, yes she is fine now thankyou it went away very gradually, with the painkillers they gave her, but unfortunately they never found what was causing it!!

  • Oh nic that's so rubbish, not what you need at all. Really hope you feel better soon!

    newthrift fab bargain!

freespirit I can't believe you've sorted so many presents! That is super-duper organised! :D Yes we did have a quiet day at home thank you, I think it was needed. So glad to hear your DD's pain went away, that's a relief.

I'm supposed to be taking wiggle to stay at my mums today for a couple of nights but DH is really down about it. He's not stopping me from going but I know how much he misses us and I feel a bit guilty. I am supposed to be seeing my Grandma today and she is going to teach me to use a sewing machine and then having lunch with a friend tomorrow. DH has said we could all go up on a weekend and I could still do those things but I feel a bit bad changing plans last minute. I think whatever I do i'm going to feel guilty! DH isn't trying to make me feel bad but I know how much he loves coming home to wiggle. If I were him I would make the most of getting a good nights sleep as even though the little man is almost 6 months old he still has us up numerous times a night!

princesskitty I think it's lovely that your DH loves being with wiggle so much but think of it this way if you go away as planned you get support with wiggle for a few days as well as some time for you and DH can get some sleep and then you also get support at the weekend from DH. If you all go at the weekend you end up with less days of support, you and DH will have less time together at the weekend as you will be learning to sew and catching up with friends, DH will also need to share wiggle with your family so he wouldn't have as much time with his child as he would if you were all at home for the weekend.

That is just how I read it, you need to make the decision that works for YOU. Have a lovely time with your Grandma, Mum and friend.

  • nice to see so many doing well in the sales :D i over spent on the boots sale lol so needed to hold off for a few more weeks. i forgot about the 2 free months of ct and water. That will be nice for the xmas fund.

Dh bought me a dozen roses last night.. we've been together 7 years and still surprise each other with lil things... hope it lasts lol. His brother told him he's getting married in june.. so i've 4 months to lose a stone in weight.. went shopping this am and saw they had toblerones for £1 in farmfoods so grabbed a couple and knew i shouldn't have if i want to lose this weight lol bumped into (literally) one of our teenage neighbours who looked like they had the weight of the world on their shoulders so gave them one and told them to cheer up. don't think they could thank me enough (saves my waist line lol)

I'm going to cut a couple more things out for my site, take photos and then finally publish the fb page yay! only a week late but i think i was allowed that.

    Keep smiling peeps

WOWZA freespirit you are doing really well!!! I need to make lists of what to put in each hamper and that for people then have a good look online and in the sales, get a shuffle along and catch you up :p:D
msgigglewick Aww that's lovely of your DH :) and nice of you handing some choc out too!!
princesskitty Just do what you think is best for you and i'm sure OH will be thankful of a little extra sleep if you go with original plans and will be happy to see you once you and wiggle get home again when you are both well rested. Enjoy :D

Work is getting ever quieter now we have caught up with the back log. A few normal jobs to do today and then I will have time to add to my Christmas lists (birthday and mother & fathers day lists are a home on a stray piece of paper somewhere  )

Lots of snow is due in with me here from this afternoon and through the weekend so will be getting lots of logs and coal in for the log burner ready!

mrs gigglewick how lovely of your DH x

Hello All, sorry not been posting recently but have been reading.
Just been really busy. Work, kids, house viewings etc. Anyway we saw a fab house a couple of weeks ago, it sold but yesterday morning came back on the market. We only noticed because we are both off sick. Then about 20 minutes after we noticed it, we got a phonecall with an offer for our house. A few phonecalls later we accepted an increased offer, so our house is "sold stc". :j The lovely house we liked, funnily enough went to sealed bids the same day. And our offer got it! :T
Strange thing is, we would have missed it completely if he hadn't both been off sick with this dreadful cold. God works in mysterious ways?!?
Anyway it obviously can all fall through with surveys etc yet but it is so strange how everything happened the one morning DH and I were next to our house phone, with hot drinks and no kids- not a normal situation on many levels.
Anyway Christmas is not really on our radar atm, although I am reading "Christmas Magic" by Cathy Kelly. Short stories which are all quite sweet- not christmas related especially but they are nice.
Also trying to think of an idea for next year which will be appreciated as much as the photo calendars I made this year. Might do something similar but with a theme?

Fingers crossed Fluffysox that the house sale/buying goes smoothly.

DD has her Ortho appointment tomorrow I seriously hope they can help her, she is in bed sleeping after having another tonic clonic seizure just a little while ago.

Other than looking for advent lucky dip pressies im not really in a Christmas mood. DD's birthday is almost sorted her bag arrived today its lovely.

Did anyone see the Superscrimper program on weddings yesterday ? I really like the tissue flowers they made so I thought I might make a few to decorate the lounge for DD's birthday.

Carole Matthews (lovely author that some of us here are fans of) was also ill over Christmas and celebrated a few days ago. At least you still get a Christmas. :)
    Have a wonderful time!!!

I've just started another of her books from my TBR pile, it's a kind of magic, so far so good.

Was organised enough this afty to put a free soppy valentines message in the local paper for my DH, think a few of the local papers do this if anyone else feels the need.

Still working on squares for the blanket for the baby. (It's needed for the end of March freespirit)

Nic hope you are feeling better soon

Crutches and snow don't sound a good mix, we haven't got nay here yet but it's promised

Hope everyone is well I haven't had a chance to back read yet so hugs if you need them and belated birthday wishes to anyone I've missed.
