  • PrincessKitty, that brought a chuckle to me, thank you,
I also have a to-do list, and on CBA days l find a kitchen timer helps, l only have 30 minutes to do each of the tasks, and l give myself a 30 minute coffee break after each 2 tasks. (l know it is daft, but it works for me).
It is still cold enough for a walking stick outside, and as my annual fuel bill/usage map came on Saturday, l am looking at cutting 10% off it, so l need to keep moving to keep warm, and another jumper.
The heating is on but turned down 2* see how l go.
Hope those who want snow get it , and those who don't don't, xxx

I also heard that M&S you can get some in the morning?? Our big Sainsburys have moved theirs and now i dont know where to look either. Well done on getting a freezer full that is brilliant :)

Freespirit – It’s the best way though! We got 4inches-ish Thursday and then another 4inches-ish Friday, was very pretty :D Luckily I didn’t have anywhere to drive so it was fine. I like the idea of giving yourself goals to give you a get up and go when you cba, I might have to give this a go!

Princesskitty – Glad you enjoyed your time at your mum’s and with you Grandma. They are good for loading you up with items (and food :rotfl: )

Well I am following in both your twos ^^^ footsteps and trying to pick at least one meal each week out of one of the cook books I have or something I have pinned!!
I'm also trying to keep tidier and get more organised at home, booked a day off work next Wednesday and i'm planning to get a car full of stuff for the CS and Tip as we have WAAAAY too much stuff that we just do not need. Anything I think is worth selling or would be good in a hamper for someone I will keep hold of for the time being. At the moment nothing has been purchased for hampers, I really need to get organised first.

Happy Birthday BEG I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Hi ladies, hope you are all well?

I am still not 100% but definently feeling a lot better than I was. My back is still sore though. Finding it hard to do much, it's worse after sitting down.

Fantastic news about your house fluffysox, will keep everything crossed it all goes smoothly.

I have been busy baking today. I had a notion to make things for the kids to take to school for snack, and last night I was craving a wee cake and had nothing in. So I've made banana muffins, oatmeal cookies and cinnamon swirl buns. The last lot are just in the oven and the house smells amazing.

    Hope all are well

Happy birthday BEG, I hope you have a lovely day.

Sorted few birthday cards just need to decide what to get my dad and then decide what were doing for Valentine's Day, might stay in and do a hm meal as the boys are away so well have the house to ourselves. Seems silly going out in that case.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEG  Hope you've had a lovely day.

Freespirit I think the idea of one or two tasks is really good and I'm going to follow it. Mrs Invisible, the timer idea is a great one too so I'm going to do that as well. Sometimes I get up with so many things I'm keen to get done that I tend to flit from one thing to another and end up not doing anything. Either that or I get side-tracked by something completely different but either way the end result is the same :D
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

PrincessKitty Do you buy your friend a birthday present? You could make up the other hamper for this occasion if you don't want to leave it until Christmas 2016.

:bdaycake: Happy birthday to b_e_g :bdaycake:

Evening everyone. Just ordered a few things on Argos in the clearance section for my LG and my charity donations for next Christmas.

Just saw on HotUKDeals that there are a few Nintendo 3DS's floating around for £44-£49 in Tescos. If I were able to get one I would and get it for my LG as she's using DS's old DS lite and we're struggling to get her any decent games ATM. But I'll not get to a Tescos till Saturday at least, so no chance of us getting one :(

Ach well, I can but hope they decrease in price throughout the year.

We're sitting here watching Sky Sports News waiting for news on the transfers. Usually I argue about this being on, but my a//e is making buttons here waiting to see if my fave player is staying with our team lol.

  • freespirit We also do a weekly online shop but I do pop to town a couple of times a week. I find Waitrose and M&S are best for the yellow sticker stuff and in my stores the food is reduced on the shelves they are normally on as opposed to having a section dedicated to it. There is always loads of stuff in the mornings with a date of that day reduced, in terms of meat and fish I think that gets snaffled up (mostly by me! :p) so there isn't really any left by the end of the day. I was in Waitrose Friday afternoon and did get some focaccia bread we like for 39p and some pitta's for 29p! We also have a Sainsburys but there never seems to be any YS stuff in there. I think my best haul was two packs of mince, two salmon fillets and four haddock and parsley fishcakes for £5.68!

newthrift glad to hear you're joining the new recipe a week bandwagon! :T Enjoy clearing stuff out, it is so satisfying to do. Although I keep finding that i'm forever taking bags to the CS, surely I should run out of stuff to get rid of at some point?! :p

nic I do hope your back stops bothering you soon. That baking sounds amazing! You sound like supermum!

3forholidays I did engage my brain after writing my last post and did think I could give the make-up hamper for her birthday! My mind is always set in Christmas mode! I usually get her something that is easy to post as I don't live near her, but if I get my act together and finish the hamper in time I could take it up there beforehand. Will have to see how I get on!

_party_ HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY BEG! _party_ Hope you had a lovely day.

Just looked out the window and we have had snow overnight, but thank goodness it is only a light coating so I should still be able to get out with the buggy and car. Just keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't get any worse, quite the opposite of how I used to be! I'm sure in a couple of years it'll be lots of fun when wiggle can play in it.
