Freespirit, I do have some buns left, I froze a few, shall I pop some in the post? :D

Right I'm sick of the cold and ice now. The snow froze more than a week ago and is just hard packed ice here. The temp isn't rising enough during the day to shift it.
I did enjoy the walk back from school this morning though, it is sunny but cold, but the birds were singing away, it was lovely.

I've picked up a few wee stocking fillers for next year. All sale stuff. Just need to put them somewhere I can find again. I don't really buy bigger things til November ad the kids change their minds all the time. But I have my savings tins on the go and will not be opening them till November. Been putting the tips I get in the pub straight into them nank spare silver and coppers. Feeling quite hefty already. :T

    finally caught up - yippeee
Thanks for the weel wishes - glad to be through the other side and back to a little normality.

I apologise in advance I never remember to jot down who I should reply to....

hope the results of the son in law are not as drastic as anticipated and that Drs are sympathetic when telling him anything. Nothing worse than waiting and not knowing.

Princesskitty (I think) what a haul from Grandma and what luck on freecycle with sewing machine - great place to start. I would love to be handy at all that stuff but I'm afraid anything fiddly frustrates me as I never get it right and don't know when I would find the time to fit it in.

Irish Rose hope your tendon heals faster than they said - our weather is a bot unpredictable especially when they give out warnings that don't come to anything and then don't warn you on days they probably should. My hubby is constantly shouting at Angie/Barra and the rest of them on the telly that they are lying lol

Glad all those with littlies to look after are enjoying their time with them - its so precious when they are small and sad that its over all too fast. and to wiggle's mummy (told you I'm awful at remembering) how lovely that your other half loves being with wiggle so much he would miss him for a few days. They are definately not all like that.

I managed to get a donkey cushion from Tesco direct reduced down to £3 - my friend is obsessed with donkeys and her birthday is in March so its PERFECT. so pleased with that one.
They had a dog XMAS cushion down to £2.25 (hope link works)
just incase anyone wants to get it in for an extra pressie.

right must shoot off and get on with some work.
hugs to everyone and happy birthday to people i miss (will get the hang of this some day) :rotfl:

  • Good day people... grabbed some cheap games in tescos the other day. Thats the only things i've got for xmas this week i think..

hmm i lie. i managed to order the new disney infinity 2.0 marvel starter pack for £19 the other day too.. still waiting on that to come.

Finally published my fb craft page yay!!! its not got everything i want to put on it yet but thought if i didn't get it started i never will lol.

We are ready for half term here already.. the lil ones are feeling all tired. though they all have dentist that week on pancake day too, aren't i a mean mummy lol. i just want to sleep!!

Well done MrsG :j - what's the page called so we can pop over and have a look and like it? If you're not allowed to put it on here can you PM me please?

Freespirit I went to Asda today so I had a look for the reduced shelf and......yes, the items all had yellow stickers!!! Unfortunately there wasn't anything I needed though :(

Fabulous news about the sewing machine PrincessKitty - bet you can't wait to get started :D

Kiwi that dog cushion is so lovely - I'm trying really hard to think of someone to buy it for.

I got my trip to B&M yesterday and bought two 'My First Knitting' kits - they're really sweet baskets with wooden knitting needles, some wool, a crochet hook and instructions. They were £5-99 reduced to £1-99 so was really pleased with them. I'm going to put them away for Christmas but will review it at the end of the year and if I think DGDs are still a bit too young I may save them for next year's birthdays :D

NIC oh the ice is the worst bit really frightening sometimes! Out on the green at the front of our house is a lonely old snowman that some kids have built, it makes me smile everytime i look out of the window as everything around it is green but obviously the temp hasnt warmed up enough to melt it :)

MSGIGGLEWICK ooh i would love to have a look too if that is ok at your new page

PEPPAPIG yes sometimes there is just nothing you want is there even at a reduced price

this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk
