Feisty Your DH will probably feel better when he gets discharged and back to a normal home environment - even if it is at his parents house at the moment.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Pinknfluffy, that was lovely of DD – she’s obviously a very caringgirl.
3forholiday, thanks for the code, I kept looking but justcouldn’t see it lol
Well done Free – bet big chief proudface looks good onyou. Wishing you lots of energy forThumper today
Feisty, sorry to hear Mr Feisty has had to go back intohospital but glad that they at least detected that things had gone awry. I always end up takingear plugs into hospital for DH cos he always gets a noisy neighbour too. Hope he’s home today and can get proper rest in his own bed.
Feeling a bit bleugh today - think it must be the weather. I've managed to put the Christmas pressies away though - have been keeping them in the spare bedroom and DGD (6) is coming tomorrow for half term so 'out of sight' is the rule for the next week lol. Think I'll have some lunch now, food always seems to perk me up!
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Finished making my christmas wreath today, need to do something with the ribbon and it does look far better than the photo. DS thinks it's hilarious

Evening everyone, had a great day with Thumper although he was in a right grumpy mood this morning, i havent seen him like that and it just makes me giggle, he soon perked up after a nap though! DS came with me and spent some quality time with him, so it was really nice (also i had to shut my eyes a couple of times so it was a good job he did). I had my shop delivered tonight and now have enough washing up liquid until the end of Jan and 3 packs of pigs in blankets, so another 2 things off my list
FEISTY ooh love that colour!!:) I hope DH got home ok today and is resting and recovering well!
SALMAGUNDI aww thankyou! I actually did fall straight off to sleep but then at 3.30am was woken up by a flipping dog barking, then realised it was ours, the little ***, so his dog flap was shut off and he had to stay in all night!! Because he is a husky he sometimes gets hot at night and likes laying out on the decking so he has 24/7 access to the garden!
MRSMONEYPENNY hope you are having a good weekend!
PEPPAPIG, aww thankyou! Hope you arent going down with that cold again!! Have a lovely half term with DGD and your reindeer making

Can I just warn you all of the dangers of starting early and not keeping an eye on how much you are buying and having a tardis like cupboard to keep things in....

Good evening everyone :santa2:
I've been MIA again since last time. I don't seem to have enough hours in the day to do what I need to do!:(
I'm off for a week this week though so I'm determined to get something done lol DD's finished school yesterday for Halloween and DS is still in school till Wednesday.
Hoping to get some bits and pieces done for Christmas, and get sort clearing out done, along with cleaning prep.
Have near enough the kiddiewinks done for Christmas, just a few more things to get, but Ill wait till nearer the big day to get those incase they change their mind again.
The latest change of mind has been from DD and DS that they don't like One direction anymore and have requested that we get rid of their stuff. We spent today removing posters and decs from DD's room. Was unexpected TBH but I'm glad too in a way as I'm still angry at 1D after they cancelled their concert on us 5mins before they were due to go on stage:mad: Disgusted and angry doesn't even begin to describe it ATM. Then spent most of yesterday trying to get my refund on the tickets as the kids refused to go.
Thankfully I didn't have any 1D stuff in for Christmas for them as everything still has the 5 of them on it. I did buy a few bits at the arena on Tuesday without them knowing, but managed to sell them no problem on FB for the full price
Our Santa lists were posted last week so they know they can't change their mind now about what they've asked for........ DD did say today she hopes Santa knows not to bring her the 1D watch and necklace she asked for though :rotfl:
Got youngest DD her "big" toy last week which is this pretty thing. Couldn't help but love it lol http://www.tesco.com/direct/little-tikes-cozy-coupe-fairy-tesco-exclusive/248-9251.prd?pageLevel=&skuId=248-9251
Have also done some shopping tonight online so crossed some presents off the list. BHS have a 20% sale on some of their gifts ATM and luckily it was on the gifts I needed so bought those, then found a discount code for a further 20% off so what should have cost me almost £40 in gifts infact cost me around £25:T
Then ordered a Molton Brown set for my sis in law off their site for £25 and added one of their Christmas bauble gifts for £11 and used a £15 off a £30 spend code. The only thing was I had to pay £5 for delivery but still saved myself £10:T I just hope it's not MyHermes that are delivering it as I'm in the middle of an argument with them after they lost a parcel on me:mad::mad:
Will need to check out what Christmas cards I have and see if I need to buy anymore. Will get the kids to start writing some for Post Pals children soon. We have their ELF projects sorted already, so they just need wrapped up in November and posted at the end of the month.Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -
Thanks Free, feeling much better now.
Ooh BBRosie, what a fabulous Christmas stash, makes mine look a bit pathetic and very under-wrapped. As soon as DGD goes home next week I'm going to start wrapping!
Was really tempted by the TSV on QVC today, it's the new Amazon Fire 10" tablet, £20 cheaper than direct from Amazon and also has free cover and 32gb memory card. Unfortunately by the time I got to see the full demo it had sold out in the colour I was thinking of. Maybe it was fate lol. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
I'm partly embarassed by my stash because it's crazy but then I'm also proud because I'm not in any debt for it and my DD and DSD have both been through a lot and they are such good girls that they bloody deserve a day of complete craziness.
really tempted to get DSD and DH nerf guns, they will love them and its a good way to kick them out and get them outside running about because they could both do with more exercise.
Just to ask about tree lights. Just bought a 6ft tree, how many lights would you recommend for it?Swagbucks £190 since 25/02
