So sorry to hear of your dad's passing mandco - take care of yourself in these next couple of weeks and just do whatever you need to do.
I did notice that Asda have the Nescafe gingerbread latte boxes at £1.50 currently and there is a new flavour for this year of Mint Choc Mocha.
Picked up a few more bits yesterday and some people are now done so I can focus on those I have left.
Someone earlier in the thread was looking for those hot chocolate spoons that you just melt into hot milk I think? I've seen them in Lidl and Whittards yesterday. Lidl just had plain milk chocolate but Whittards had a couple of different flavours (think milk chocolate and caramel, dark chocolate and a stripy one that I can't remember).0 -

Hugs to everyone that is going through rough times at the moment. I can't remember who was looking for hot chocolate spoons, but I saw in John Lewis the other day they had different flavours in there. Irish cream, cognac, latte, salted caramel and milk/dark chocolate ones for £3.50. They also had a house of Dorchester gingerbread one which from my past experience is lush for £2.00! whilst I was in JL I got a London black cab mint tin, perfect for going in my grandads hamper, for £2.50, Good little novelty item. Went into sainsburys in the middle of the toy sale (big mistake) and got two boxes of their Christmas biscuits (shortbread and chocolate ones) they were really nice last year, 2 for £5.00 also picked up a few bottles of tipple, crackers for cheese selection box and a few other bits. Used my points so only had to pay 25p for the lot not bad for what would have cost £40.00.
Dumpling what about a Bluetooth shower radio I have just bought one for my gadget loving brother. Also when I was in Robert dyas I saw Rolson does this telescopic torch and mirror but I wasn't paying £15.00:eek: for it. Whilst I was on Amazon I saw they were doing the same one for £4.50 so I ordered a couple, they came yesterday and they are very bright and useful. :rotfl:£2 savers club 2025 #2= £480 -
May I join?
I'm abroad and have just found out that my fantastic hubby has bought tickets for us to go home for Christmas!! We are arriving on the 24th and it will be a big surprise for our families so I must get on with present buying!
We had the foresight to order some football jerseys for the fellas and today I picked up some gorgeous books etc for my mum!
Going to concentrate on getting my sisters some make up bits cheaply and my 2 brothers something nice - fellas are so hard to buy for!094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

mandco - I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how terrible you must be feeling. xxx
My brother and his family came for lunch today. My niece (nearly 18 months) was on top form. She does fist bumps and gives kisses. She's utterly adorable. Asked her mum whether she still wants a tea set so I'll get her a plastic one. My step niece will be getting a MLP t-shirt from Next now that I know what size to get.
I better go attempt some essay writing. I'm just really struggling to concentrate. Hopefully I wont end up needing an extension!“In 900 years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important”

MandCo-so sorry to hear about your Dad.
I noticed on Poundland's website that they have gingerbread cappuccino sachets-12 in a box, so I'm going to try those and see if they're any good. I do like the Nescaf! ones, but I've bought them at £1 box last year, so they're not cheap enough for me yet!
There was so much I was going to say when I posted, but it's all gone out of my head now! I will take pics of my Halloween decs when they're all up (ran out of steam the other day!) and post them.
Oh! I thought of something for those book lovers. I found out the other day that Rowan Coleman (who wrote The Memory Book) also writes books as Scarlett Bailey! (Several Christmas books of hers are on my wish list already)Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
