Mandco I’m so sorry about your dad. The sudden loss must be awful for you but I hope you can find some comfort in the fact that he passed peacefully. I know when DH lost his son this way last year he found it some small consolation that he hadn’t suffered. Thinking of you.
Tibawo, Irish Rose is usually pretty good with ideas for teachers/school staff.
Welcome to the thread tatabubbly. How fabulous that you can come home to be with the family at Christmas, bet they'll be over the moon.
IrishRose that’s such a mean thing to do to their young fans – too much too soon is definitely not good for these ‘stars’.
That bow is really nice Free, might have to get a couple of them to finish off my hampers. Had to laugh though that they’re £1 each or 24 for £24 - definitely worth buying in bulk lol.
We’ve got DGD here now for half term and we’ve had a lovely afternoon making our rustic reindeer. DH and I did the cutting of the logs and drilling of the holes while DGD went shopping with my sister this morning then when they came back we made the reindeer and they’re really sweet. They probably wouldn’t win any beauty competitions but we love them lol. Tomorrow we’re going to get antlers (twiggy branch ends) from the bits laying about in the woods and we’ll fix them on and do the eyes and noses and then they’re finished. I’ll post a pic if I can take a decent one tomorrow before it gets dark. All the leftover wood has been chopped up and will be used for the fire and we’ve kept back enough bits to make one more reindeer tomorrow. Fingers crossed for dry weather. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -

Oh have I've missed something about needing an idea about school stuffI'll have a look back and see what I can do
As for the concert, up until Saturday I was piddled off, but I've calmed down now.......... I think lol. Kids have moved on so lets see what'll be next to cost me loads of money:rotfl:
I'm liking that bow that was posted up above. Shall have to see if I can find some of those this week also.
Cleaning and sorting out has been called off for the day. We've had a very productive day today, found the Christmas cards and got those out....... Lets just say we won't be needing any more cards here for the next year or two for Christmas:eek::oPay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -
Ooh Free I will have to have a look, that's if the wreath makes it to Christmas. At the moment DS keeps leaving the understairs cupboard open (on purpose may I add) and Teddy keeps trying to attack it0

I can't remember now who was asking about the Christmas Quiz but I've found the two that I did a couple of years ago.
Quiz 1 - all Christmas themed, 10 questions per round
Round 1 - Music
Round 2 - Books, Films and television
Round 3 - Trivia
Quiz 2 - All 'numbers' themed, 10 questions per round (except round 1 when the last one is missing lol)
Round 1 - Christmas
Round 2 - Entertainment
Round 3 - Sport
Round 4 - Children's rhymes and tales
Round 5 - General knowledge
I think it would take up quite a bit of room to put them on here so if anyone wants a copy just message me and I'll email you one. You might have to spell out your email address though as I don't think it will let you put one in the normal format. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Sorry to hear about your dad Mandco. It was my dad's anniversary last week, he died suddenly of a heart attack, so I know how you feel, especially as we are in the run up to Christmas. You will survive Christmas, we found that it was close enough to get the first one without him over with, but far enough to deal with it. Mind you, it was his birthday the day he died and there was so much black comedy involved that day, that it probably helped us.
Been really busy at work so not been doing anything Christmassy this past week, will make up for it!A smile costs little but creates much0 -

PINKSTEPS oh your naughty DS is hilarious! :rotfl::rotfl:
