Peppa I LOVE the reindeer! Very cute
I'm settling into my new job now! Still working long hours, but I guess it'll go with the territory for a while. Everyone I'm working with is lovely, and I met my old colleagues for lunch today and they're all very unhappy at my old company, so I've definitely made the right decision. Phew!
On the Christmas front, I'm doing alright. My mum is mostly sorted, my boyfriend is half sorted (for birthday and Christmas), my friends are sorted, I still have NOTHING for my brother! I'd like to get him some tickets to something, but I have no idea what.
I'm also very excited, because a Christmas clothing company (I know!) contacted me recently about collaborating on a blog post. Well, now I'm going to be running a competition with them to win his and hers Christmas tops! I can't wait to write the post - my first festive one this year, and I think it's going to make me feel very festive
I went to London to see my friend at the weekend, and we walked all around Selfridges and Liberty's Christmas departments. Liberty looks especially gorgeous this year. I wish there were more nice department stores around!
Sending festive vibes to everyone0 -
Loving the reindeer Peppapig!A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Those reindeer look great! I love them!
I've just started Trisha Ashley's 'A Christmas cracker'...I mean literally, as I'm only a chapter in. Hoping to meet her next month in London, so I wanted to have it read by then. I pre ordered it on kindle, but when I saw the tesco price, I was very tempted to get it in paperback instead. But then I saw my overflowing bookshelves and thought I'd better not. :-)
Feeling a bit poorly this week, so snuggled up on the sofa reading, when my head isn't pounding, that is.
Spent a while looking for some hidden Christmas and birthday presents earlier. As soon as I found one, I remembered another that I now can't find anywhere. I know I've seen it recently too. Grrrr!
Found a glass tumbler with bees on in home bargains that I'd been looking for for months. Had given up any hope of finding them, then I spotted three on a shelf with the cereals. My aunt likes bees, so thought I'd pop some hot choc sachets in it as part of her Christmas present.

LOVE the reindeer Peppa!
Im so happy today. I managed to get DD(10) a bike for xmas, it's 2nd hand but rode 3 times and is like brand new. So releived as I really couldn't afford a new bike and it's all she asked for as hers is far too small for her. My only worry is that it's too big for her. She is tall for her age, but it's a 26'. With the seat up it will fit me. But she is only a couple Inches shorter than me anyway.
It will be need to me from me and not Santa. Don't think Santa gives 2nd hand.
Picked up some mini stollen from Aldi and some Salt and balsamic Jacobs cracker crisps for 50 p in Tesco. Put about 6 bags away for xmas.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

So here goes again;
Mandco- my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family xx
ChrissyG- Sorry to hear your daughter is still suffering with the seizures x
MsGigglewick-I am a purchaser of one of the said Father Christmas stencils and they are fantastic! I know my daughter is going to love it so Thank you x
elliew8- I love it when the weather turns and starts to hint that christmas is near! Actually went to Blackpool to see the Illuminations last night and was giddy with excitement that we all got to get our BIG winter coats out and hats, scarves and gloves. Wasnt that cold though so we were boiling!
Cherry24-James bond aftershave sounds good, will google and have alook as DS likes james bond.
Gettingtherequickly-That link looks fab as a stocking filler. The oils sound fab.
andie5- ooh let me know what the ribena tastes like please as am stuck between the vimto version or ribena.
p-pincher- You are doing well, the candy cane paper sounds fab.
Peppapig-The reindeers are fantastic and have inspired me to take my DD, Ds and nephew into the woods tomorrow to see what we can find to make our own versions. Have PMed you for the quizzes.
kaya1991- fantastic news about your blog collaboration. Glad you are settling in to your new job x
Ruth_honey- hope you feel better soon. have recorded a couple of movies and I watched paper angels the other day.
nic2075-Its great that you managed to get your daughter a bike. I am sure she will absolutely love it. Is the stollen nice from aldi? I look at it every year but never buy it, maybe this year....
freespirit66- any christmas magazine recommendations? Im at a total loss as to which one to purchase this year.
On the christmas front I am doing ok. MIL done, Mother done, Godson done, 3 x nephews done, 3 cousins kids done, kids stockings done, mine and hubbys stockings half done. Special Christmas cards done and wrote!! just kids to write theirs. With only 2 more paydays to go im trying to budget how much I have got left to pay out. Exhaust on the car is blowing so that is an expense we didnt want next payday. Also need a new tyre and brakes need looking at.
Have started the special christmas shop box too, have got peanuts, cheese crackers and mint matchsticks up to now.
Sorry to anybody I have missed. Hugs to everybody and christmas sprinkles xx
Sorry for the long post!0 -
Morning all
Ruth have a lovely time when you meet trisha, I was very tempted but it's just too far and my days are always tied with working at lunchtime. I'm sure you'll love the book I did, must admit I always feel slightly deflated once I've finished a book as you get the happy fish of all loose ends being tied and the story reaching its conclusion along with the sad feeling you can't read more about those characters.
I actually finished the cross stitch part of the stocking last night but that means I've got all the back stitch to tackle now EKKK! There is loads!!
Not sure what I have planned that's Christmassy today but keep looking at my jars of mincemeat so may tray and make the first batch of mince pies of the year soon.
Hugs good wishes and coping vibes to all who need them.
Have a good WednesdaySPC~12 ot 124

Thought you might like to see the end result of our rustic reindeer making afternoon. The biggest one is Woody, the middle sized one is Prancer (that's DGD's one) and the little one was the prototype and is called Wonky. They aren't exactly professional but I think they've turned out ok considering it's all stuff we found on the floor in the woods lol.
Wow, these are fab! Huge well done
Kaya, can I have a link to your blog please? Congrats on the colab
On the Christmas front, I had my first mince pie of the year yesterday :rotfl: It was from our local artisan baker and amazing! There may be some leftovers lurking at work for today, fingers crossed!
I have a terrible cold and I think the pregnancy is making it worse. It's all I can do to drag myself into work, but seeing as I let them down at the weekend with DH being in hospital, I really can't take any more time off
