    Hi all

I'm almost there! Picked up the Boots parcel with my nephews and step niece's gifts in. Also finished for my Dad and bought some Xmas cards. Just three things left to buy now which will be sorted nearer Christmas. All the stuff is laid out on my mum's bed awaiting wrapping. I got very stressed today so I'm glad the worst is very much over!!!

    Morning all
Hope everyone is well hugs to all that need them.
Bought the scratch cards for the Christmas dinner table yesterday as I noticed the £1 Christmas ones we're disappearing fast.
Free thank you, I'm still nowhere near finished there's tons of back stitch but it's going to be worth it, I did Santas face last night and the difference is amazing. As long as I keep doing an hour or so day I'll get there. I just have to hide it away when dd2 visits.
Busy all day today so I'll wish everyone a good day and crack on.

Morning all :) only 2 more days and the real festive cheer can begin :D:D
PrincessKitty sounds like you're getting through the presents list already, it doesn't sound silly feeling alone I get that sometimes if the OH is out and I'm at home...and car's not fixed yet, the half hour morning walks continue!
Peppa thank you so much for the Christmas quizzes (that so doesn't look like the correct plural form of quiz :S lol) I've already printed them out and told the OH we're doing it on boxing day with his family so I'll let you know how it goes - although that will be on next year's thread, scary thought!
Free you're always so organised it makes me feel even more unorganised lol We've finally decided the gardening isn't really our strong point so we're getting artificial grass for the front so will be spending our Saturday morning digging up turf - yay :| so I'm also curious what does a coffee/ hot chocolate station entail? It sounds like my kind of thing :)
Nothing particularly Christmassy going on today, however last night I saw the first proper Christmas advert on TV it was a harveys one and had a Christmas tree in it and everything! Makes me feel slightly less crazy when the Christmas adverts come on lol
    I'm dreaming... of a white Christmas :snow_grin :xmassmile:rudolf:

Just worked out that my christmas tree is going up 4 weeks on Saturday!! YEAH!!

Freespirit- I love the thought of a new christmas planner. Its almost as much fun setting it up as it is using it. I spent last night trying to do my Elf activity calender so it makes it easier for us to organise. Advent activities timetable needs doing for us too x exciting times x
Peppapig- thank you for the quizzes and thank you for putting the video up so I can see the reindeer x
Kaya1991- sorry to hear your brothers gift is not what you hoped.
Irishrose-The plaques are lovely, may have to pop in to my local store and have a look.
Mrs_Ryan- you are doing fab with your gift shopping. x
Mrs-Moneypenny-I really need to remember to buy the £1 scratchcards
Quidsy- sorry to hear you are having trouble with studio too. It is so frustrating when you have been waiting for something too x
elliew8-sorry to hear about your car, it is awful when the car is out of action and the repair bill is a bit inconvenient this near to christmas too isnt it? My car currently sounds like a boy racers as my exhaust is blowing terribly!

Got an appt at 3pm today at the pain clinic at the hospital that deals with my spinal condition. Dreading it as hate talking about the pain, I find it much easier to plod on and try to ignore it as much as possible.
well better get myself organised. See you all soon xx
Christmas sprinkles and hugs to everyone x
  • Hi All

I've been a bit quiet the last few days as I've been busy doing my first assignment for my course. Very stupidly I got my days mixed up so thought I had until tomorrow, then it suddenly dawned on me 2 days ago that it's the 29th today, not tomorrow! Cue me panicking because I had a bit more planned reading to do before making a start on the assignment, which I thought I had time for but with suddenly losing a day I had to skip some of the reading I wanted to do & get straight into the assignment. Luckily it was extra reading materials I had planned to read, so I have at least been able to read all the provided material and recommended readings. It's lucky I've had a few days off this week really otherwise I don't know what I would have done!

I have been trying to keep up with you all though & read what's been going on.

Mandco- sorry to hear about your dad, sending big hugs.

Msgigglewick - my jingle all the way decal arrived, thank you so much. It's lovely and I can't wait to get it all put together now.

I hadn't thought of getting scratch cards for anyone but after reading a few of your ideas I think I might get some to put in some of my family's cards.

I was looking on boots website last night again, I just love looking through the 3 for 2 gifts. I did put a few things in my basket but stopped myself buying them because I thought I'd have a think about who I still need to buy for first, before buying stuff that I don't even need!

I am still trying to put my sister and her daughters present together. I had decided on a girls night in theme so have got a few things already but want to get them some bags of sweets & some popcorn now to go in with the rest of the stuff.

We have been invited to a friends house for Halloween, which is nice and I am looking forward to it, but I just want Halloween & bonfire night out of the way now because then everywhere just goes Christmas crazy, which I love!

Not too long now and I have a busy few days ahead of me which will hopefully make the next few days go a bit quicker.

Anyone else nearly reached their budget with quite a lot left to buy?
  • You all seem to be cracking on with your Christmas buying!!
Hectic week this week. Kids are off doing dance festivals and rugby camps, I had an emergancy bone scan (panicking everytime the phone rings, expecting bad news) on Tuesday and today is my 5 year cancerversary, going through all the emotions, I know I am lucky to be here, but feel guilty too. Will be happier once today is over.
Christmas wise I have got a few parcels, got more ideas for the kids and ordered a new tree and decorations for the kitchen. Going for a peacock /blue/gold theme. Found some cards I forgot I bought last year and also also some gifts I lost last year...
  • can't wait to see moneymission :D

Hello all, I have very little money for new decs this year, but I thought I'd share with you something I was offered for free to review on Amazon.
I was really hoping to be offered Christmas bits, and whilst this isn't quite my taste, here's a snowman bathroom set I have received this week.

These aren't exactly just for Christmas, but I got some solar lights too.
I'll be keeping my eye out for other bits and pieces, fingers crossed. I got nearly all my cards in last years' sales and then got offered some nice ones to review in addition.
