Just a quick post - PrincessKitty I've just had an email from ELC and they say if I take the receipt into store they refund the difference. Not sure why they can't do it remotely as I paid for it on line but at least I don't have to lug the toy back and buy it again! No luck finding the code for 20% off M&S but I'm sure someone on here mentioned it, just can't remember who. Fab news about your winter break - feeling very envious :)
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :
  • Evening everyone, nothing christmassy going on here today i have been trying to rest my leg :( oh i keep forgetting to mention, i have heard the IACGMOOH noise twice now on tv advert breaks heehee that is the start of really feeling christmassy for me!

Ok Free, I've tried working it out but I'm stumped. What is IACGMOOH noise? I know when you tell me I'm going to kick myself for not knowing.
  • Picked up a few parcels from the post office today so that's all my outstanding parcels at the moment. Now that I have definitely finished my sisters shopping I am going to wrap it all this weekend so I can put them in the attic out of my way so I've got room for more shopping. I will then bring them down when I get the decorations down because I can put them under the tree.

I booked our works Christmas party today and was very jealous that the person I spoke to at the restaurant has the job title of Christmas coordinator!! I told my boss that I will be changing my job title for the months of November and December.
  • Princess kitty - how exciting! Centre parcs in winter is just lovely xx

Mandco - most of the anime stuff is from amazon and eBay xx

Dd2 (8) had her hair cut today! Just shy of 7" donated to Little Princess Trust.
It was an emotional experience for me, I loved her long hair. But she looks super cute with her new shoulder length Bob, quite grown up, very different, but as beautiful as ever!

It was her own choice, and she is very very happy. And I am a very proud mummy!

Picked up batman pjs from primarni, for dd1 Xmas eve, and a fluffy penguin Xmas jumper for dd2.
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.

  • Evening everyone, had quite a good day with qvc christmas on in the background, they had some gorgeous things and some b****y awful things, but did notice they had bethlehem lights hanging baskets for you ladies that like them, they were really pretty although out of my price range!

MRSRYAN sorry you had such a stressful day yesterday, at least you arent battling the christmas crowds yet and will have it done by then

FEISTY ooh what colour have you gone for??

ELLIE hope the head is a lot better tonight :rotfl:

LINZ hope you have a lovely holiday!

PRINCESSKITTY yes it was the one in Henley, its lovely in there isnt it?, we will definitely go back! Oh lucky you i have never been to a centre parcs, and winter wonderland sounds fab! I really need to hurry up and finish the book i am on so i can get started on my christmas books, i dont seem to have 5 mins lately, i also have a pile of Good Food and Sainsburys mag from over the summer to get read before the christmas issues come out!! Yes i have noticed that lately when i have ordered something they keep coming up on the page i am on, its really annoying! Luckily i dont have to share my laptop but i would hate for the kids to see something and know its for them! I cant wait for Thumper to be old enough for the elf too, i wish it had been around when my kids were little it would have been hilarious! I am thinking of doing a few advent activities for us, just for a laugh really, nothing that needs to have a fortune spent on it but something we can all get together as a family and do!

PEPPAPIG glad you are definitely getting the refund :) i think it was ELLIE that posted the m&s code

MONEYMISSION its I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here :rotfl:Ooh i want a job as a christmas co-ordinator :)

PINKNFLUFFY aww all grown up making her own decisions bless her! Lovely gesture donating it to charity :)

I am excited as DH has booked a break for us Mon-Fri at Centre Parcs Longleat in November, we got the pack through and it's going to be a Winter Wonderland! It's a shame Wiggle doesn't understand it yet but I will love it!!

I've now started reading 'Christmas at the Cupcake Cafe.' I have two Christmas books to read this year, I finished the last book I was reading last week and decided to just get started on my Christmas books. I hope I don't finish them before Christmas!

I've been buying some bits and bobs for Christmas, i've now finished DH's Cadbury's hamper. It's frustrating because there are a few bits I want to buy him online but i'm always scared that the stuff I look at are going to start popping up in adverts on various web pages. It's so annoying when that happens. I've been busy planning my North Pole breakfast and Hot Chocolate Station. We don't have an elf this year as Wiggle wouldn't get it but I can't wait to do a North Pole breakfast so i'm doing it this December 1st. I think I do things more for my pleasure! :p

Princess you will love centerparcs! We are localish to longleat and went there in the Christmas holidays a few years ago for a spa day. They had fake snow covering everything and the woods were really magical! We stayed up north in a centerparcs about 6 years ago and the lodges had open fires and you could buy marshmallows for toasting in the shop. I would personally stock up on any food you may want prior to going as the shop was pretty pricey, but we had a wonderful time when we stayed in the summer.
My 14 year old son has a hover board and he loves it.

Although they are apparently illegal to ride in public places, the police are not taking any action against anyone riding on them. My DS rides his around the house and at the local park.

My son got his in July though before all this talk came about of them being illegal to ride in public.

They are not cheap, so do bear this in mind if you are not going to let him ride it anywhere, and it is simply going to be an indoor dust gatherer ....

I badly want a hover board, I don't think it's a good idea with a pregnant bump though :rotfl:

    Free, we have gone for this one;

Sorry for the huge image, I have no idea how to re-size!

Well DH was admitted to hospital last night :( we traveled across to Southampton hospital for his annual cardiac check and they spotted he was out of rhythm again. They have no idea how long he had been like it, but didn't want to risk leaving him (DH said he felt as crap as he usually does, but no worse!). They wheeled him down for an emergency cardio-version (think holby city when they resuscitate with the electric paddles!) and we were initially told they would be kicking him out at about 11pm! We were shocked as it's the fourth time they've done this procedure and he always stays in for at least one night for observation. So we waited around and were relieved when he came back feeling perky at 9pm, only to be told at 10.20pm that there had been a mistake and actually he did need to stay in  We live over an hour away and due to the pregnancy I'm always exhausted by 9pm, DH was then panicking that I'd not eaten and was a bit dehydrated and tired, so it was a bit of a fuss trying to assure him I'd be fine driving me and his mother home (she doesn't drive).

I have heard from him this morning and typically he is feeling far worse as they admitted a loud snorer early hours and even with the anesthetic still in his system, he couldn't sleep through it :rotfl:Fingers crossed I can get him this morning and settle him back at the parents house for the weekend.

It has been very emotional and surreal coming back to his parents house (under 5 weeks until we move!) without him though

  • Feisty - hope after a good rest at home your DH feels better. While he's resting, you can too! Take care of yourselves. (Love the KitchenAid - think you deserve it!!).
Free - hope you got some sleep - you certainly will tonight after a day with DGS!
ChrissyG - hope your daughter has had a few good days: she seems to have it so rough. I've no doubt that you must also be exhausted at times. Take care.
Safe (and healthy) weekend all x
