stressedoutmumof1 did you get the 40 QVC bags with the drawstrings? I'd be interested to know what you think of them if you did.

Peppapig - They are really good quality, a good variety of sizes and really quite pretty! Only downside is the tags that come with them are plain white - so I might make my own to jazz them up a bit! ;)

    Morning,
We have just had an Aldi open up in the closest town to me so I was there queuing for my golden ticket at 6.30am haha! I got a £15 shopping bag of goodies with mine and it's mostly stuff I would normally buy so I was very happy with that! The TV/Smartphone aldi one's are all good but I didn't have a need for them. A women a couple of places behind me won one of the phones and she was so delighted it was lovely!!! It had quite literally made her week :D
Peppa I have forgotten my 'flickr' login to post photos so hopefully the links below will work. One is outside church and then a close up on the bodice of my dress. I haven't posted one from the back but when I do i'll post here as it was very beautiful at the back also and I had a cathedral veil!!

Looks like everyone is doing well with Christmas shopping.
I'm disappearing off again as I'm still catching up at home/work and Christmas shopping. Me and my mum are planning our annual big present shop and lunch day which I can't wait for (normally we go in September but I was otherwise engaged ;) )
    Big christmassy hugs all round

    Morning
Oh wow Newthrift you look beautiful!! Your wedding dress has such detail and I bet it made you feel and look like a princess. You can see your veil a little bit on one of the photos - just stunning!
I like any of the Christmas songs for next year's title - they all make me feel Christmassy :)
I'm loving the hanging baskets - I'm hoping to move house if everything goes well so definitely next year I'm going to be getting those.
My DH is rubbish at present buying and ends up on Christmas day saying who got our DD that and I say "We did!". Although it does mean I can buy whatever I fancy and he's no idea what I've spent lol.
Our Park vouchers came today so that's me going shopping for stuff this weekend, yay.
  • Newthrift The dress is lovely! This Christmas will be special to you both being your first as husband and wife. :)

Andie My dad is exactly the same when it comes to buying presents - he just leaves it to my mum. :D Must be a man thing!

You look gorgeous Newthrift beautiful dress. Enjoy your shopping day with your Mum. X

I did my self assessment early and it looks Im due a tax rebate as I was getting taxed on my day job but still came in under the tax threshold. Would be nice if I got the rebate before Christmas, or it might be better to tide me through January.

I'm am currently tidying up like a mad person. I'm due the landlady annual inspection tomorrow and the gas man doing the gas cert. not sure if you remember but this is the landlady who commented "my don't you have a lot of stuff"!
The house is always pretty tidy (as tidy as you can get with 3 kids) but it needs to be inspection tidy. It's always a good time for a clear out. Especially those corners that seems to gather piles of paper work or toys.

  • Popped to Wilkinson's on my lunch break, and they have a fair amount of Christmas "stuff" out :)

Bought some lovely deep red jingle bells threaded with twine for the tree (9 for £2.50) and a box of mini baubles in red, gold and green (30 for £2.50) to attach to my Christmas bags for decoration :T Also bought a tub of nuts for DH to put in the Christmas Cupboard from Sainsburys :rudolf:

    andie5 and 3forholidays - definitely a "man" thing ;)

Newthrift - You look amazing! And that dress is gorgeous. :D

Been to the hairdressers today. I let her blow dry my hair with a defuser. 80s perm was the result! This is why I let my hair air dry. :rotfl:

Busy few days ahead. I have my first assignment of the year due a week today. Sunday my brother and his family are coming for lunch. Tuesday I'm off to have some more cryotherapy on one of my hands (liquid nitrogen hurts like hell...) and that takes about 3-4 weeks to properly recover :(. And thursday next week I have a friend's wedding evening do to go to. Not sure how long I'll last at that but it'll be good to get out and see friends.

So, hopefully when next week is finished I'll be able to spend more time thinking about christmas without it getting in the way of studying! ;)

did well in BH today picked up quite a few bits for xmas including
some reindeer slippers for taz £2.99

wasn't that impressed with the sains toy sale this yr usually pick up as few bits but no real savings compared to offers I've seen elsewhere on the stuff I'd be interested in. there were some good deals but just not on stuff I need/want.

waiting to see if boots are going to be doing the points events this yr as haven't seen any info yet and I have a few bits to get from there.

heard my 1st instore xmas song in the cardfactory the customer in front of me however was not impressed and the poor guy behind got an earful on how its too early for xmas stuff

really annoyed today as picked up a new bed & matteress for taz from ikea got it home and put together opened the matteress and it stinks _pale_ leaving it to air hasn't helped and when I looked the zip is broken so can't even take off the cover and wash it  so now I need to arrange another lift to take it back.

the thread has def been a lot quieter this yr but then both OMO & Nanamia have been mia.

    newthrift your dress was beautiful.

    hope everyones doing ok tc
