Found some personalised baubles on NotOnTheHighStreet website and there's an elephant one on there too Cherry.
Some cheaper options on GettingPersonal website around £10.

Although msgigglewick you do personalised glass baubles? I'm new so not sure if we're allowed to ask if you sell them online?

i do. got limited colours atm though.. no clear ones. not sure i can put a link to my selling page but you could search jececreations on fb. (if this isn't allowed i can remove) I am able to put most things on the bauble as i design them myself and its vinyl i use on them.

  • Oh they look lovely - I'll have to be sneaky and try and ask my mum her colour theme for Christmas this year. I'm hoping it's purple because the iridescent one especially looks really good. I may have to get the pink one as well if my future SIL finally decides on a baby name!
    I'm dreaming... of a white Christmas :snow_grin :xmassmile:rudolf:
  • Morning everyone, i didnt get chance last night to post suddenly it was time for Downton and then i needed to shower and get to bed as early morning with Thumper, i hope everyone had a good weekend!

MRSINVISIBLE oh that sounds lovely a full house at christmas and a new baby to fuss over, just take it easy and dont take on too much yourself

STARLET i am the same by the time the boots gift mag comes out i am usually finished gift buying but i still cant wait to have a look at all the gift sets :rotfl:

WEECLICK im glad you are moved in, and hope you are both very happy there. You forget how expensive it is setting up a new home dont you and certainly forget how much you need!! Friday sounded like a nightmare for you, you poor thing, i hope the tests come back quickly and it can all be diagnosed and sorted out for you! I suffer from IBS so i know how you feel especially when you are out in public it can be so embarassing

CLUMSY oh your sister will love her hamper for sure it sounds lovely. The only place i have seen choc on a stick/spoon thing for hot chocolate recently has been M&S hth

ELLIE thanks for the tip about the yankee candles in Hallmark, oh dont worry about the matalan code it wasnt your fault, i shouldnt have spent all that money anyway maybe it was fate :rotfl:

PRINCESSKITTY haha bless Wiggle, its funny because Thumper has always liked things over his face he used to play with his muslin and put it over his face and fall asleep :D How you getting on being at home alone?

CHERRY oh its my fault for being impatient haha need to get all this halloween stuff gone from the shops :D oh i dont do shopping in december, well not for things i need/must get, thats why i get it all done now, i cant stand moody people!! December is for sitting at Costa/Starbucks people watching feeling very smug! Still getting the atmosphere but no pressure

HARIBO that is what we did a few years ago, just shake it up a bit at christmas, make things just that little bit different, i know its nothing to what you are experiencing but my exH came in christmas eve and announced he was having an affair and had just been caught by the womans husband (his friend may i add) i physically removed him from the house with no clothes, anything, we had been together 30 years and just 6 months off of our silver wedding anniversary so you can imagine what sort of christmas me and the kids had, we were just shell shocked. I worried that i would never enjoy christmas again but actually it was fine we just made it ours and not what we had always done

POOKLE well done on your sales i have made a £1 so far selling cookery books :rotfl::rotfl:this is going towards my christmas tree fund!! I love the body shop when they do those sales they are fab!

MSGIGGLEWICK DS has amazon prime and i am named on it so i get all the benefits as well, i love it, free postage and here next day delivery it is brilliant

MAITAYLOR hi and welcome to our thread i must have missed your post

I bought 6 tubs of the chocolates this weekend. Will be stashing them away as teacher and token gifts.

I also got loads from the Argos 3 for 2 sale as we now have 3 under 3s in the family.

  • elliew8 - They are blocks of chocolate that you melt into a mug of hot milk or water. Very nice and can be a stronger chocolate flavour than powdered hot chocolate mix.

freespirit - Thank you will have a look if I pass an M&S any time soon

BBRosie - I usually get my wrapping paper in the Tesco 3 for 2 with tags and bows. They do some beautiful paper. Already chosen this year's after having a sneaky look on the website. Sadly they don't have them all out yet in store!

I really must do some studying (I'm an Open Uni student) now. So much reading to do already this year.

  • Happy Birthday Spendless and Whitesatin!

Managed to get my dad's present sorted today. The Boardwalk Empire DVD set I wanted to get was on an amazon lightning deal so saved £10 on that.

Also, thanks to everyone for your thoughts and replies.

Weeclick - Sorry about your bad meal experience. It's a shame since they clearly had plenty of prior warning. It's worrying really as food allergies should be taken really seriously.

Ellie - Hi, thanks for the link and suggestion :) Depending on funeral arrangements, I will be going on holiday on Saturday. The place where I am going has a Christmas shop so I'm going to have a look there first to see if there is anything suitable.

msgigglewick - Yes and tried and failed to make my own :o Will make a 2nd attempt at some point soon.

Have been awol for a long time, but need to get back on here and get back into the Christmas chatter!

Its been a difficult 4 or 5 months in the family,( no bereavements), culminating in hubby coming home 2 weeks ago and telling me he is being made redundant from his job of 16 years at Christmas. Not the kind of news I wanted to hear but as things were starting to look up a little I thought we would take it in our stride and manage somehow. Cue sleepless nights cus its easy to be positive in the daylight hours - not so easy when you close your eyes!

Anyway today DS starts his new job( the last 6 months have been bad at work for him -manager at Waitr**se). he rang me on his break and he LOVES it! DD starts year 2 at Uni (having broken up with her fianc! then recently getting back with him-grr), she txts me "Mom- what does this light mean?" -calmed her down -its the run flat indicator. Tyre pressure a little low (I hope!) Panic over for her. Then best news- Hubby rang to say he's been offered another job starting after Christmas! (Doesn't want to lose his redundancy pay so cant start til then). Moms health hasn't been the best over the last few months, and she has another appt tomorrow so I cant fully relax until that is out of the way, but today has been a GOOD day!
I've been dipping in and out and have seen Feisty's news-I'm so happy for them both. Freespirit- Im so pleased SW is working for you x Everyone else, Im sorry for your loss/ happy for your good news x

Take care everyone. I promise to post more often x
    lovin' this site!

  • Clumsy42 I have seen the chocolate on sticks/spoons in my local sainsburys and Tesco - theyre normally top shelf next to the 'special hot chocolates'.

BBRosie I like primarks wrapping paper, its cheap and some really nice designs (when they do come out!)
