I have just bought some luxury Christmas crackers from B&M for £3.99 which is a bargain considering I paid £8.99 for some last Christmas. I have finished my brothers presents, managed to get a dvd he wanted for free by using my play.com points. I am now designing little favour boxes to go on the table that will be filled with a luxury chocolate, one for each person. Also found two Christmas books in my local charity shop, calling Mrs Christmas by Carole Mathews . And can't remember the other one (brain fog day) so looking forward to reading them soon. Anyone that knows someone that likes baking what about a recipe card tin. Amazon have some really nice ones for about £8.00.:rotfl:£2 savers club 2025 #2= £480

Aldi had some really nice kitchen stuff last year about October time and they were really cute to add into presents for my SIL.... Sometimes their middle aisles are amazing.E.F. #38 240.55/1000 SPC8 #375

MURIE haha well i have a lot to lose believe me!! But yes i feel so much better already, i can literally feel it melting away, i can now walk a little bit without actually embarassing myself by becoming out of breath and my steps are just zooming up atm i just need to stick to it long term! Yes he is growing up quickly 11 months tomorrow!! He is keeping me on my toes! You are very organised with your presents but i cant believe you already have your turkey crown and gammonlove it!! Oh your little sis is in for a treat what a lovely surprise she is going to have, and what a massive bargain too! Oh will have to have a nose at the person who is brilliant at bargain hunting!
MRSMONEYPENNY i cant wait for those christmas books especially the chocolate lovers one i love that series!
CLUMSY oh i hope you fare better today with your studying, the trouble is when you feel like that it is so so hard to concentrate on anything, let alone make it stay in your head!!
ELLIEW haha i still have items in my bag but no voucher as yet haha, thankyou, no secret, i am following Slimming World but at home not going to a meeting it just seems to have clicked with me! Oh no are they that bad i was going to get the sprout roulette from Lakeland this year for a laugh, i hate sprouts in fact most vegetables ever since i was tiny i havent eaten them, but i thought there was only one, not 4????? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
SALMAGUNDI aww thankyou very much
PINKSTEPS omg you have been through the wringer my lovely!! I cant believe that about your poor DS, so what about the ops he had before has the work now been ruined by this one person being utterly stupid??? After all what he has been through he must have had a tough time too! I hope things start to look up for you both now, and i dont blame you wanting to spoil him its what all us mums would do in the same situation, sending you lots of hugs and bless our CHRISSY for being there for you, what a star!!!

Freespirit- the only reason I have the meats is because I saw a deal on Hotukdeals that farmfoods were selling off their crowns-buy one get one free. As we have a sort of open house Christmas day dinner then do our formal Christmas at Moms on boxing day which I take the stuff for and cook, it was a bargain I couldn't pass up. The gammon was on special at Aldi a couple of weeks ago.
I'm doing SW at home, when I can get my backside into gear that is! I have been off my feet pretty much this last 3 months apart from hospital appts for mom and me due to my stupid foot, but its definatly on the mend now ( appt tomorrow to discuss next steps-no pun intended! Its more of the same tortuous treatment or an op and 12 weeks in a cast). That's why I have got Christmas sewn up so early in case Im not mobile nearer the time. Internet shopping has really come up trumps for me this year. Unfortunately its also the reason I have gained a fair bit of flubber as has The Hound cus I haven't been able to get out and about with her very much.Hubby walks her but nowhere near as far as she is used to with me.
Moms apt went well this afternoon! She has been having numerous cancer investigations and it turns out that she is severely anaemic and has been since march 2014! Its been 'overlooked' by her GP and the hospital - I wouldn't mind but she has so many health issues with her heart, diabetes, arthritis, etc etc etc that she's at the Drs or the hospital every other flaming week for appointments of one kind or another! Hopefully now its been discovered she should start to pick up. I'm just so mad cus of the strain she (and all of us) has been under waiting for one set of results after another. The stress has really got to all of us.
Yes my little sis is going to love her present but she deserves it, She has been ferrying me to and from hospital appointments over the summer after my treatments when I cant drive, despite having a lot on her plate at home with her boys . She has always lusted after a kitchen aid so hopefully it will be a dream present for her.
Just noticed- I really do waffle!! Sorry!lovin' this site!

Evening all!
Well 2 more parcels arrived today and bar some pyjamas and stocking stuff Dd1 is done. Dd2 I'm awaiting some offers on playmobil and a few ideas for little items and she'll be done too!
Been to a school meeting tonight. Things are tough with Dd1 at the mo so am trying to get along to everything to support her.
Nearly finished a prem baby cardi for charity then need to crack on with a scarf for my mum for chrimbo. We don't do presents but I only learnt to knit properly last year so I'd like to make something for her.
Hugs to all who need it. I think this time of year is quite often a little tough for a variety of reasons xxx0 -
Weeclick - What terrible service! Sorry they ruined your evening for you.
Just popping in to ask if anyone has seen those hot chocolate on sticks/spoons things anywhere. I'm sure I've seen them in a shop recently but I can't for the life of me remember where!
Off to do the weekly shop today so will have a look how the seasonal ailse is coming along.
I saw them in B&M for 99p. After catching up with the thread I had to run out to our local to check on all the Christmas stuff
Our local Matalan has all of their Christmas stock out too, some lovely stuff this year.
Sorry to all those going through a hard time at the moment.Hobnobs are like marines0 -
Murie, you’remost definitely on a roll – hats off to you. Bike riding was going well although unfortunately has taken a back seatto looking after DGSs lately now that DD has gone off to college 3 days aweek. Will def get back to itthough. I’m walking through the woodsevery morning with the dog though so at least getting a bit of exercise. Glad your Mum’s test wasn’t anything awful –itdoes make you wonder how these things go unnoticed.
Didn’t end up going back to bed Freespirit but been fine all day though flagging a bit nowlol. DH is doing really well at mo – hasstarted seeing osteopath weekly and headache situation is much improved. Still recovering from op but definitelybetter than he has been for a while, thank you for asking.
Ellie – sorry butthat really did make me laugh out loud – sprout roulette sounds hilarious!
Lovely to have you back Pinksteps– you’ve been missed. Glad Chrissy hasbeen able to help too. Sounds like youand DS have had a horrible time, I do hope things are going to turn round foryou now.
Crowdpleaser,hope DD is ok.
Hope to have time to pop into our Matalan tomorrow – I needto see all their lovely Christmas things in person so that will be my treat fortomorrow.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0
