Freespirit, I don't really have the boys as much as it sounds because on DD's college days the older one (3) is at preschool and the little one (nearly 2) is at nursery until lunchtime so basically I drive over to pick little one up at 1 o'clock then take him back to DD's house and (hopefully) put him down for a nap. Then when he wakes up we get to play for a little while then walk down the lane to pick older one up from pre-school at 3 then back to DD's for snack (banana usually lol) then play til she gets in (and do their tea on Fridays when she's home later). My sister does Tuesday so I only have Monday and Friday. I'm not really sure how I managed to do it full time when mine were little - completely wears me out now lol. DD is loving college though and it does her good to have an interest outside of home so nice to know I can help out.
MoneyMission I was going to suggest MrsG for advice on the lettering on the glass and lo and behold there she was. It's a lovely idea - hope we get to see pics when you've done it.
Drops of Jupiter I may be joining you in a trip to the Range lol.
I got my trip to Matalan today and oh my goodness it was amazing - they had the whole Christmas range out and there was just so much I wanted. Didn't buy anything though - need not to have DH with me for purchasing lol. Have been looking at the website as thought I'd try to get the 20% off £30 spend but some of the stuff on the website is coming available even though it's in the shop. The holly and ivy mug and one of the other mugs are both saying 'not currently available in this size (?)' so a bit frustrating really. I might try again later. The cushions were gorgeous and I thought really reasonable.
I'm planning to get my decs down this week and have a good look at what I've got. I want to buy a couple of garlands to add lights and decs to - I had two lovely ones but gave them to the CS a couple of years ago because I didn't think I'd use them againSilly me.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Just popping in to say that I managed to pick up six wine glasses in Sainsbury's for a whopping 35p each today! They were in the seasonal aisle (they clearly want things gone sharpish... it's almost as if there's a big event just around the corner or something...) just in case anyone is looking for any for hampers or entertaining0

Does any one have a disabled bus pass? I think as I am epileptic I qualify for a pass. I have looked on the website but instructions seem to say its a long process. Need a kick up the bum and just do it.
Anyway going to try to settle the dogs and get some kip.

Freespirit- hope your managed to stave off a migraine. DS suffers horribly from them, literally knocks him off his feet few a day or so,
I cant remember who was doing the hamper and needed the headband used in spas to keep hair off the face- I am almost positive I have seen them in poundland and home bargains.
Peppa- I know what you mean about needing to mooch and shop without DH! They really cramp your Christmas style don't they?!
Bettie- ooh bet you were chuffed when you saw the bigger crown size.
JJ- it was me who asked about Uni. Student finance can be a real pain cant it?
Money mission- I've seen those jingle frames on pinterest- they look lovely!
Hopefully lil sis's kitchen aid will be delivered today- I cant wait! Anyone would think it was my pressie!
I popped into Morrisons after hospital appt (review after Christmas) yesterday, they have the larger boxes of After 8's on special at £1 (usually £3.49). These are a must at Christmas for us, plus a few to put away as standby presents. Also they have matchmakers at £1 too. They had mint, honeycombe and orange flavour. Does anyone know if they still do the coffee ones cus they are my fave. I haven't seen them for ages.lovin' this site!

Murie - It was me with the headbands. Thanks for the tip. Ordered one for £1.99 and free postage off ebay yesterday. Thought that seemed like a bargain!
Well I'm off to the jobcentre today to talk about volunteering. I have a long list of things I can/can't do cause of the ME so I'm not sure if they'll be able to find me anything suitable. Worth a try though. Hopefully this trip to the jobcentre wont stress me out for days.
Hope you all have a great day.“In 900 years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important”

Extended family are bought for (Morrisons choc tin deal last week. Very happy as the budget is £10 per household
), and I have a selection of stuff for DD. She's asked for a fit bit flex as her main gift so I'm currently saving up my ama2on vouchers I'm earning through surveys etc and praying they're still cheap on there in a few weeks
I basically just need to do my parents, my brother, my uncle, my sister, my ex and his wife from DD (but he's put in a request for a hamper he got last year he loved), finish DD and do goody hampers for the 4 under 8 which I'll start soon. I just need to get all the empty shoeboxes in the house together first so I can check I have enough.
I'm hoping to start my Halloween window on the 21st. I have an idea, but its assembling it thats the problemCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
