I've really been craving Christmas pudding, OH asked someone in Tesco when they'd be getting them in and they looked at him like he was crazy :o I guess everyone else isn't quite ready for Christmas yet!

I'm the only one who eats it in my house.

PeppaPig Re turkey crown: it was from Waitrose. If somethings not in stock, substitutions are normally one brand or size up and they don't charge you the extra. :T

Princesskitty - Hope your little one is on the mend soon and that you can get some good sleep! :)

Peppapig - Suprisingly it actually went well! Seems the only times I have positive experiences at the jobcentre are when I'm seeing someone who doesn't actually work there!

I talked to this lovely woman from the local volunteer centre. I didn't think she'd be able to help me as what I want to do (and what I physically can do) is quite specific. I'm studying towards an OU degree in Eng. Language and Lit. So I wanted to try something along the lines of helping with adult literacy/education. She suggested assisting the person who delivers courses (confidence, CV/application filling etc) for adults. It sounds perfect and I even get to choose how much I can do (certainly wouldn't last a full day!). So I'll be waiting to hear more about that. :D

In other news I popped into Home Bargains near the jobcentre and got a storage box to put my sister's pamper stuff in. It's red with white dots and very cute. And we also had to have a cheap bag of christmas mallows to try. Just to check they taste good of course... ;)

    :bdaycake:HAPPY BIRTHDAY........ TO ME! :bdaycake:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:sorry it had to be done :D

DD2 made me this beautiful cake and it tastes as good as it looks believe me :D she sneaked it in this morning while i was asleep and is coming back after work with my present bless her, DD1 has booked us a weekend away in a lovely hotel and tickets to Bletchley Park (from the imitation game), and DS gave me money to treat myself but he did it in a really fab way, he put dried rose petals inside a massive balloon and hid lots of notes in there, it definitely is a lovely way to give money without putting it in a card! Will catch up now!

MSGIGGLEWICK oh thankyou very much, no i dont want you having to do a rush job, you have enough on your plate at the moment, btw those santa footprints were fab im not surprised you have sold lots :D i will look for a pic so i can show you roughly what i would like but as i say no hurry

JJ glad you got lots of ideas for your DM stocking, and glad you had a lovely day yesterday :)

DAVIDSDESIRE ooh well done nearly there then!

MURIE aww thankyou it was still threatening when i went to bed last night but thankfully nothing has come of it, i feel for your poor son because they do knock you off your feet, i get annoyed with whole days wasted with them, the pain and then you still feel a bit wobbly after it has gone  i get just as excited with other peoples presents especially when i know they are going to absolutely love them! I havent been able to find coffee flavour matchsticks for a long time now, i dont know why they would stop them and still have the other flavours??

CLUMSY glad the job centre went well for you! Thankyou for the birthday wishes, and yes help yourself to some cake x

NICKI ooh what is your idea for the halloween window?

SMOOSH haha that made me laugh! I thought they were one of the first christmas foods in store by now tbh!!

PRINCESSKITTY oh i cant believe they still havent fixed your laptop, flipping useless customer service!! Oh poor wiggle, bless his little heart, i hope it goes quickly, (not sure how long it takes to go) please dont worry that you are feeling so empty, it is most likely lack of sleep which has been a while now, and all the worry of him being ill as well, sleep is just something that we all need and find hard to cope when not getting enough!! We are all here for you i hope you know that, offload anytime with us, sending you lots of hugs and hope you can snatch as many naps as and when you can P.S. you are NOT bringing the thread down one bit xx

MONEYMISSION i followed LAZYSHEEPS link yesterday and there are loads on there, i might also look in the cheap shops as well for bells just to check prices. I paid £3.99 for mine at ikea and none come anywhere near that price from what i have seen

PEPPAPIG oh thankyou my lovely, i have managed to keep it at bay thankfully. Oh i love furniture that has been upcycled with chalk paint it looks so beautiful. Have a fun night at the rugby tonight!

LINZ wow that was a bargain.... walks off to google doh vinci :D

CROWDPLEASER yes i have been looking for choc oranges for a pound too, i refuse to pay nearly £3 for them!

DUMPLING hi and welcome to our christmas thread, of course you can stay we would love that. What theme have you gone for with your new decorations? BTW thanks for the choc orange tip

MURIE aww thankyou very much, i dont know where DS gets it from but he really does think outside the box every time

    SMOOSH thankyou my lovely

Does any one have a disabled bus pass? I think as I am epileptic I qualify for a pass. I have looked on the website but instructions seem to say its a long process. Need a kick up the bum and just do it.

We have the bus passes, I am guessing you are out of the city but for PCC it was just fill a small form and show DLA letter, before DS got DLA he use to show a letter from his nurse. Dont forget the photo
