I've really been craving Christmas pudding, OH asked someone in Tesco when they'd be getting them in and they looked at him like he was crazy :o I guess everyone else isn't quite ready for Christmas yet!
  • Hi all, desperately trying to keep up with you all! I'm still on the iPad as our laptop still isn't fixed - grrrrrr to Microsoft! How can a multi-billion pound company whose specialty is computers and software break a persons laptop and leave them without it for weeks on end?!

Anyway that's a stress I don't need at the moment, Wiggle has just been diagnosed with hand, foot and mouth, so he is very sore bless him and we're now in quarantine for at least a week. He is my priority, but the days are so tough as we've already got major sleep deprivation and of course this illness is making it worse - we were up every hour last night then I had him in bed with me from about 3am for a bit of comfort. I was a bit worried yesterday afternoon as I was getting little pangs that felt like it did when I had PND, but I'm really hoping it is just tiredness and nothing else.

Anyway I'm so sorry to bring the thread down, and I know that my problems are nothing compared to others so hugs to everyone who needs them.

As soon as Wiggle is better again and I get my Christmas spreadsheet back I'm sure I'll be raring to go! Xx
  • i can make you the vinyl decal too if you can't find one on etsy for uk post. (message me and we can talk if over if you get stuck :) )

Thank you, I will do that.

Oh no, it's horrible when they have that. My eldest daughter had it a few years ago & she was so ill so I feel your pain! I hope Wiggle recovers soon.

Freespirit - My sister said about getting the shadow box from Ikea, so I think I'll have a look. I need to find the bells too, but I'm sure amazon will have something. When it's made I will get a photo on here for you, although I'll probably keep putting it off and end up doing it the week before Christmas :rotfl:

Murie - I didn't know matchmakers were £1 in Morrisons, I'll have to pop in there & grab some because I love the mint ones and they get eaten up so quickly in my house!

PrincessKitty, you're not bringing the thread down, we're your Christmas family. When the little ones are ill it's horrible and if you're already sleep deprived it's worse still and it's quite likely that the feelings you've noticed are as a result of the lack of sleep and your reserves being very low. Just remind yourself it will pass and in a few weeks' time it'll be just a memory but if you really feel like it could be a reoccurrence of your pnd then don't hesitate to speak up and get help. Share with us on here any time you like x

Clumsy (sorry but that's still making chuckle ;)), good luck at the Jobcentre today although to be honest I can't imagine any trip there not being stressful lol.

Nicki can we have pics of the Halloween window? I can't decide whether to do anything or not. Some years we get lots of children coming round trick or treating and we run out of sweets then other years we buy loads of sweets and they don't come - mind you, we get to eat the sweets :D

BettiePage - very impressed that you've got your key food already, I've only really got as far as trying to think what we're going to have (and that hasn't been overly successful yet).

Free, hope the migraine was kept at bay and that you don't feel too bad today. I know the days after a migraine (even if it doesn't come on fully) aren't always up to much so keeping fingers crossed for you.

I'm upcycling a corner cabinet for DD's birthday at the beginning of December so will be working on that today - really enjoying it and loving the Annie Sloane paint. Then tonight we're going to the Rugby World Cup match at Stadium MK - it's France v Canada and we know nothing about rugby lol but sis and bil got the tickets for us with theirs :D
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

Princess- as everyone says it is awful when they are little and poorly, especially when you are not getting enough sleep too., but as peppa says, just think that it will pass soon and you can get on with your Christmas prep. In the meantime, if you need to talk we are here for you, I think we've probably all been in the same situation at one point or another xx

Peppa- what colour are you painting it? Varnish or wax? I've been doing some picture frames and a small mirror for my DIL2B, and I have waxed them but I'm not very happy with how they have come out.

Money mission- snap! They mysteriously vanish in this house too unless I hide them!
    lovin' this site!

Murie thank you for matchmaker tip! I adore mint ones and so will make a trip there for couple of chrimbo boxes.

Has anyone seen choc oranges for a pound yet? I normally pick a couple of those up too!

3 more gifts for kidlets just been dispatched from amazon. A playmobil train and ET for Dd1, she watched it last year at Xmas and loved it, cried her eyes out bless her. And Mary Poppins dvd for dd2. Her favourite film by a long way. Great at a fiver each!

I'm selling sone kids toys and clothes at the nct sale on Saturday so hope to earn a few more pennies for the chrimbo pot!

    Xxx

...comes bouncing into thread sprinkling glitter and leaving a trail of tinsel and baubles....

Hi my name is dumpling and I am a Christmasaholic. I've been catching up with this thread, making notes in my special notebook and spending money :D.

I've decided to have more of a theme this year for my decorations so have treated myself to lots of lovely new ones. I had a look at the Matalan range online and was very impressed. Oh, I buy all my stuff online as I rarely leave my house due to ishooos you know. Anyway, I may well be ordering some things from there amongst other places.

Hmmm, what else, I knit soft toys most of which get claimed by my grandchildren, I've just bought a sewing machine with the hope of actually learning to use it soon and make christmassy things. I love crafts in general but am hampered by lack of space and money :). I am knitting a snowman at the moment to go with Father and Mrs Christmas that I made last year.

I hope you will allow me to join in with the festivities on here.

JJ, you were asking about bus passes? I have one because of my disabilities and it was very straight forward, just had to send in a simple form from the council and a supporting letter from my consultant along with a rather tragic photograph of me. I need to reapply every 2 years but it is worth it, well it was until I could no longer go out. Hey Ho, I remain optomistic that I will be using it again soon.

I am looking forward to hearing more about everyones plans xx
