Evening everyone, thats my days looking after Thumper over for the week, he has been so unwell the last couple of days with a streaming nose and eyes and sneezing bless him, we have had lots of nana cuddles
then tonight DD2s OH was bathing him and noticed that where we all thought a tooth was coming through was now a yellow horrible looking blister thing, so i told DD2 it sounded like it was infected and to call 111 they said to go to local hospital, and it has been caused by his viral infection his throat is inflamed as well and gums! They said it should go down and disappear of its own accord eww it looked really nasty!
DD1 has just got a new iphone and has given me her old one but for stupid reasons only known to apple i have had to spend the evening manually putting in phone numbers and now have to download all my apps again grrr! Nothing is ever easy with techie things is it? Still i cant moan i have a newer iphone for free so should just be grateful
MURIE i dont blame you, you have to get these things when on offer otherwise they will go and you will regret it, especially when you are saving so much money. I remember you having treatment on your foot now you mention it, gosh have you been in pain all this time?? Poor you! Good luck tomorrow and i hope you are happy with the decision made by them. You will get there with SW when you havent got so much on and can move about more im sure! Your poor mum that is awful, all that worry and tests that were not really needed, you would have thought someone would have thought about it before now, you are the second one of our lovelies with really bad treatment from hospitals/doctors today it is shocking! I hope she can relax now and gets the right treatment. Oh that is a really lovely thought to buy one for your sister, bless her! No you arent waffling at all
CROWDPLEASER im sorry to hear your DD is finding things tough lately and hope that the school meeting was successful for you both. You sound very organised for christmas too!

Murie, you’remost definitely on a roll – hats off to you. Bike riding was going well although unfortunately has taken a back seatto looking after DGSs lately now that DD has gone off to college 3 days aweek. Will def get back to itthough. I’m walking through the woodsevery morning with the dog though so at least getting a bit of exercise. Glad your Mum’s test wasn’t anything awful –itdoes make you wonder how these things go unnoticed.
Didn’t end up going back to bed Freespirit but been fine all day though flagging a bit nowlol. DH is doing really well at mo – hasstarted seeing osteopath weekly and headache situation is much improved. Still recovering from op but definitelybetter than he has been for a while, thank you for asking.
Ellie – sorry butthat really did make me laugh out loud – sprout roulette sounds hilarious!
Lovely to have you back Pinksteps– you’ve been missed. Glad Chrissy hasbeen able to help too. Sounds like youand DS have had a horrible time, I do hope things are going to turn round foryou now.
Crowdpleaser,hope DD is ok.
Hope to have time to pop into our Matalan tomorrow – I needto see all their lovely Christmas things in person so that will be my treat fortomorrow.
PEPPAPIG our posts crossed each other! Wow i would have been in bed hours ago if i was awake that earlyHow are you coping with grandchildren 3 days? Is DD enjoying her college course? I am so glad DH is feeling a lot better and hope it continues x

Hi, i’m casually sneaking back in after being awol for ages.
Basically had a year that does not need repeating but I have got through it with extra special help from CHRISSYG
The help has been two way , you have been a massive support to me over the past few months .:A
We are off to UK Christmas world today near Barnsley i don't NEED anything but i have ordered a plush donkey that needed to be adoptedThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
freespirit - The studying did go better amazingly! I think turning off my PC screen helped because I couldn't quickly have a look at FB!
dropsofjupiter - Thank you! I'm off to B&M today so I'll have to keep my eyes out.
Going to look at the cheapy shops today for things for my sister's birthday hamper. Will have a look at the christmas bits too of course.“In 900 years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important”

Thanks everyone but when I did pop in and out of here I saw there were far more troubles going on in the world, at least now when I leave DS anywhere he cannot wander off very far :rotfl:
Waiting for his medical equipment today (hate waiting in) so at least I can catch up on mse0 -
Haha cherry I agree about the amount of cardboard boxes - the cat loves them though! I'm saving myself for Christmas films though, it's always Hocus Pocus & Nightmare before Christmas on Halloween then 1st November the Blissmass music channel is on 24/7 briefly interrupted by Christmas films lol. Fingers crossed you get to go on holiday
I love the Range Haribo, let us know where it is on the Christmassy-scale!
Oh Freespirit I hate sprouts too but I'd rather have a sprout tbh they were so disgusting. Think there's about 13, we got to the 9th one without finding any and then the last 4 were all the dodgey ones! I'd recommend it Peppa, it was a good laugh, particularly funny for everyone that only had to eat white chocolate truffles watching me gag lol
Murie glad your Mum's appointment went well
UK Christmas world sounds like my kind of place, don't live close unfortunately...maybe that's a good thing for my purse!
Nothing too Christmassy today, picking up my Matalan order tomorrow so will be getting the farisle quilt on straight awaythen I'm at Oktoberfest on Friday...which reminds me of Winter Wonderland, can't wait for that again this year! Every year we go the OH insists upon winning me another teddy of gigantic proportions that I then have to carry on the packed tube on the way home looking like a crazy person lol
I'm dreaming... of a white Christmas :snow_grin :xmassmile:rudolf:0 -
I'm sure I saw someone wanting american sweets (weeclick maybe? my awful memory strikes again) and mention of the Works. Well I've just seen that they are selling some american candy on their website too. Hope that helps anyone who doesn't have a Works nearby.“In 900 years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important”

Nice to see you back Pinksteps x
It's my Dad birthday today, he is stuck in hospital so will pop up tonight with a cake (minus a candle as there's oxygen everywhere) I was going to go and buy a cake but have decided not to be lazy and make a victoria sponge this afternoon.
This weather has been glorious. Warmer that it was in the 'summer'. Managed to get lots of washing out which always makes me happy lol.
I'm skint again, so no Christmas buying for the next couple of weeks. Money goes in, rent and council tax goes out and leaves me with zilch. I have applied for a couple of jobs with perfect hours for me, getting impatient waiting to hear if I get an interview. But I need something. Working in the pub a couple nights a week isn't bringing in enough and the hours aren't great with kids. I've applied to be a dinner lady working 10am-2pm term time. That would be ace.
Hope you all have a good day x:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Boots are giving £10 worth of points when you spend £60, I think the offer is just on today and tomorrow. I have £60 to spend there but want to use vouchers which they don't except online.
I'm well into present buying at the moment although H keeps telling me to stop because he doesn't know what he wants yet but I've nearly got all his. Got two tickets to see Bill Bailey next year for his main present, don't know who's going to be more excited him or me lol0
