Just doing some Sunday night catch-up… been having a busy decluttering weekend but have made another £45 for Christmas pot from Amazon, Ebay and Facebook sales.

Bought some Body Shop stuff today online as there was 40% off with free delivery over £5 and my daughter really wanted some Body Shop goodies for Christmas. Also got 10% cashback with Quidco so great deal!

Signed up for a Morrisons delivery pass this weekend so will get to pick Christmas food slots later this week I think.

Clumsy42 Hello, I am new too! That sounds like a nice gift for your sister. I have 7 family birthdays before Christmas to deal with! Expensive time of the year, I need to get more savvy!

Weeclick How have you been finding the gluten free diet this weekend? I know a few people who have gone gluten free (not even because they are coeliac) and it’s changed their lives!

Freespirit66 Sounds like you had a mare of a day yesterday!

Haribo1 That is really prepared, ha, though I do love Christmas card writing.

    Thanks for the Matalan code!

Crowdpleaser I write a blog and just got sent the Lego Elves Castle for review. I didn’t realise it was such an expensive item! Now pondering over how I can review it AND save it as a Christmas present, my kids will be too spoilt if I just give it to them now!

Mai-taylor Hello! Nice to have you join us.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes, I am officially moved in, took most of yesterday to pack and bring round, then a quick dash to argos at 5pm before they shut at 6pm to get sheet and duvet cover, only to get home and discover what we thought was a double bed is infact a kingsize!! So new sheet being bought by mum today phew lol

The gluten free was an absolute struggle on Friday! Especially when we went to our local restaurant in premier inn for my grandabs birthday - told 2 waitresses I am on gluten free diet due to an intolerance and its important I dont have any gluten "no problem" they said, one even offered to go through the menu with me and anything I picked she could tell me if its gluten free or not but never actually returned to the table!

Long story short, my sister ordered me chicken stripes to start explained Im being tested for coeliac and she said she would check with chef and if there was gluten in the meal she would come cback to hep choose something else, she never came back but I was hesitant eating it, needless to say I had half before I rushed off to the bathroom and spent the rest of the birthday meal in there!:( Poor service which was a shame! they then charged me an extra £4 for an ice cream dessert they "offered" to me as they had no gluten free alternatives on the menu!!

Anyway such a good nights sleep and in a lucky position to have moved in 2 and a half weeks before the OH moves over so Ive been able to claim the built in wardrobe in the spare room to store her presents in lol. Thankfully all in boxes and shes good so she will know not to open them before work!!

Such a beautiful day today, I woke up an hour early and just sat here chilling in the living room with a coffee - lovely start to hopefully a better, more chilled week!!

hugs to all and lets bring on the shopping!! :T
Life is what you make it.
  • Weeclick - What terrible service! Sorry they ruined your evening for you. :(

Just popping in to ask if anyone has seen those hot chocolate on sticks/spoons things anywhere. I'm sure I've seen them in a shop recently but I can't for the life of me remember where!

Off to do the weekly shop today so will have a look how the seasonal ailse is coming along. ;)

  • Thanks for the lovely welcome :) and Cherry, that sounds like a lovely idea with the baubles. I have received personalised ones in the past as gifts - one with my name and a snowman and another with a picture inside, I'll have a look out online in case you liked the idea for your grandparents? It might be an idea for your mum too Haribo, I think I'm going to get one for my mum this year as my grandad passed away recently.
Also I agree about the 2 for £7 tins in Morrisons, although I suspect they aren't Christmas nuts, just chocolate nuts!
I went shopping on Saturday and a couldn't resist a £5 Grinch t-shirt from Primark, oops lol
There's also quite a lot of Christmassy things in Hallmark so got a card for the OH because I couldn't find one last year that said fianc!. They had 20% off of Yankee candles in there as well if anyone is interested - I was so tempted but we have 5 halfway-used yankees in the living room atm (all christmas-related scents of course) so I managed to restrain myself!
Sorry the code didn't work Freespirit! I'm picking my order up this week so I must stop myself going in properly and looking around or I'll buy more! They were out of stock for the draught excluder I ordered though so might have to have a sneaky look...
Pookle I know what you mean, I have 2 birthdays in october, 3 in november and 2 in december - I need to start shopping for that instead of Christmas stuff!
Congrats on the house move Weekclick, sounds exciting :)
Clumsy I need to know what hot chocolate on a stick/ spoon is? I've never heard of them but anything with hot chocolate has my name on it!
    I'm dreaming... of a white Christmas :snow_grin :xmassmile:rudolf:
  • Pressie buying is getting more each week lol.. shall be preordering dd3's mobile tomorrow. and ordering dd4's bday pressie (4th of november) dd1's bday is on the 30th of october but atm she wants the money to go to comic con but im in two minds about that one atm. DH got amazon prime yesterday so i shall be in my element with their black friday sale lol must save some money towards that.

Finally photographing my new products today, elf bottles and personalised glass baubles. Been really busy with orders which is nice but fitting them in between being a mum means working until late at night.. mustn't complain its paying for unexpected college trips/fee's atm.

i went in primark last week but they didn't have anything xmassy.. gonna have to go in again aren't i lol seen people mention pj's and now a grinch tshirt! must go mooch lol

Hope everyone is well and happy. xx

No, I don't think I will do either. The children would notice if all the bags were open. I'm just going to have to give it to them

Found some personalised baubles on NotOnTheHighStreet website and there's an elephant one on there too Cherry.
Some cheaper options on GettingPersonal website around £10.

Although msgigglewick you do personalised glass baubles? I'm new so not sure if we're allowed to ask if you sell them online?
