Hello, can i join in? I've been lurking for a while now and am in awe of how organised you all are! I'm not usually overly into Christmas this early but for some reason I'm really excited this year. I need to make a start on present buying as hubby has just started an apprenticeship which pays a lot less so we need to spread the cost out and be extra mse.
Started today by getting the £40 Amazon gift card so fingers crossed I'll have a £10 voucher soon.0 -
Sorry to hear about your nan Cherry.0

Thank you to all who gave great suggestions for an elderly lady with cancer. Unfortunately my lovely nan passed away a couple of days ago on the day of my grandad's funeral.
The suggestions were very much appreciated with quite a few that I hadn't seen before so thank you.
Ocado sent me an email regarding delivery slots that can be booked from 5th Nov and it said that their Christmas shop is now open.
Started on my OH's stocking with a couple of gifts. We have a budget of £70 and only have £23 left so will have to look for bargains.
I'm thinking of purchasing a Playmobil advent calender for my nephews, does anyone have any experience of these?
Sorry to hear about your nan Cherry xx
We have 2 playmobil advent calendars, they are great fun but can be a pain if you don't have a surface to display them on. We only have one out each year and I put I on the sideboard in the dining room. The problems start when other children come over and try to play with the figures, my daughter doesn't like that because she doesn't want any of the bits to go missing :rotfl:
They are great fun though or the other ones my daughters love (and I do actually) are the Lego advent calendars.0 -
Cherry I'm sorry for your loss xxx
Have been stalking amazon and the Web for a drop in price of a lego elves castle for Dd1. I had it in my head I wanted it down to 60 quid before I would buy it. Was idly browsing on amazon this morn and it was on for 62. Close enough. I don't think would go any lower so I nipped to loo, grabbed me phone and ordered it. That's her main present done. Need to keep eyes peeled now for the playmobil sets dd2 has asked for. I refuse to pay top whack lol!
Not much else xmassy to report!

My condolences Cherry
I spent far too much on the Matalan website last night looking at the Christmas shop - but made it slightly better by using this 20% off £30 spend G6C8M22. Just thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone else was about to make a Christmassy purchaseI'm dreaming... of a white Christmas :snow_grin :xmassmile:rudolf:0 -

Sorry to hear that Cherry
Welcome to our new festive friends!
Walked past what should've been a mountain of choc tubs on 2 for £7 in Morrisons yesterday... although it was less of a mountain and more of a molehill! There are other secret Christmas fanatics out there stocking up!
I can't believe it's only three months until Christmas! I might have a look for some cards and wrapping paper this weekend. I'm weirdly excited...0
