    Welcome Lemonade-money!!

WEECLICK omg your ex sounds a right nasty piece of work, what the heck was taking one of all your pairs of shoes about! Im so glad you have found someone that you can trust again, good for you!! Oh hope it is just something your mum has had and it goes, it might have been a combination of the two!! I get it down my neck when i have migraines, it is so painful and stiff, i would try and get some stronger painkillers

She was a nightmare - without bring the thread down she made me very paranoid and forced me into therapy at the GPs I ended up on antidepressants for most of our relationship and only stopped taking them a few months ago. Needless to say a lot of people including her own friends kept telling me to leave as she was no good for me! but I was so insecure I felt I couldn't! She did me a favour in the end and Im lucky I landed myself with another Christmas nut who takes great care of me!!

As for being unwell my mum made me an appointment at the doctors yesterday - again without giving TMI Ive been bleeding every so often when I go to the bathroom and I had seen a doctor about it 4 weeks ago who gave me tablets and thought I might be celiac but nothing more was done. When the doctor heard from mum yesterday he wanted to see me there and then. So blood tests done and waiting on a date for camera test - not looking forward to it!!

    Welcome darlynz :)

And for the person who was asking about american sweets etc - one of the poundshops (poundland I think) sells the individual cereal portions of lucky charms and they sell large packs of nerds too :)

That was me!! Thanks!! I saw the mini cereals in B&M but was hoping to get the big box in tescos and they didn't have any - gutted!!

Nothing much to report - yesterday was spent at the doctors and lastnight I just chilled infront of the tv feeling sorry for myself - need a kick up the butt!

Going to grandparents tonight to take my boxes of our their attic and sort through them ready for me getting keys to the apartment on Sunday!

Will feel better when OH is here and we have bills covered for the month to see what left towards xmas shopping!! Going to be a quiet Christmas this year present wise and Im aiming to do family hampers again so should save pennies home baking!!
Life is what you make it.
  • Well I'm back from my quick trip to the range. Most of the Christmas stock was out in mine except for the light up musical figures which they were putting out so I couldn't really get a look at. Bought 4 new santa sacks, a Christmas countdown with a nativity scene on and a light up just believe sign with santa on. Was so much more I wanted but I have presents to get first so have to be good.

OOooh I love it when the range gets their xmas stock out - now I have an excuse (not that I really need one...) to visit and see if they have any new decorations for my tree. It's only a 10 min walk away and will cheer me up with this miserable weather :)

Did get a few more bits and pieces in town/ikea today so my 2 friends are pretty much done now (their kids are another matter entirely) and mum and sister's presents are coming together.

Just back from Argos, got 2 big Lego sets, Swingball, Marvin's Magic Set, Shopkins and Articulate board game with a £45 saving. I checked prices last night so happy with that and they're all big boxes which will help the pile look bigger :o

    Next things on my hitlist;

Need the Boots gift guide and Wilko's Christmas stuff to come online and then I need to get pjs, slippers, socks and pants (every year :rotfl:) from M&S. Always think they are good fillers at Christmas as I'd buy them anyway.
  • Afternoon all, ordered ds1 the Zelda monopoly of Amazon, really pleased as he's been after that for ages.
    SPC~12 ot 124

In a world that has decided that it's going to lose its mind, be more kind my friend, try to Be More Kind
  • Ordered all my Christmas chocolate gifts! I'm really ploughing through my list now! Have been looking at Argos online but think I will go grab a catalogue. Am I the only one who prefers to browse the catalogue?!

  • Hi All

I bought some Christmas chocolates from Morrisons so now have plenty of chocolate ready for the Christmas season. Although knowing our house the tubs will be half eaten before November. I think I might have to hide them.

I've had an email as part of the M&S Sparkles card inviting me to a special preview of their sale, so it looks like they will be having a sale this weekend too. I'm so glad I didn't spend my vouchers last week when I was browsing! At least now I might get some bargains, although I bet most of the sale items will be summer stock.

I've placed my Argos reservation for the 3 for 2. It's all Lego :rotfl:. I think most other things I am pretty good at finding a good deal or getting some sort of cashback, but Lego is pretty expensive wherever you buy it so the 3 for 2 offer is the best deal for Lego.

I haven't done anymore Christmas shopping at the moment but have been keeping up with this thread so have a few more ideas in mind. I'll report back if I find any good deals or get anymore shopping done :)

I think the catalogue is WAY easier than online. I love a catalogue :D

Debating now whether I should pre-order the DS version that my daughter wants for when it comes out on 2nd Oct. Chances of it selling out before Christmas are slim I would have thought? Probably higher given I want it  Reluctant to have it sitting around for 3 months though.
  • Evening everyone, i never got round to making my mincemeat so will make it tomorrow :( and put together and wrap DS movie night hamper, i did a bit of crafting though :D

PEPPAPIG well you will have to have a christmas film marathon this weekend wont you??? :D:D:D Have they started already or were these just a one off?

HARIBO ooh that just believe sign sounds nice

WEECLICK thank god you arent still with the ex, much better for your health!! Glad you have found someone who treats you so much better and hope you will both be very happy in your new home! I hope the results of the tests come back quickly it must be a big worry as well as everything else going on!

LAZYSHEEP how lucky are you only being 10 mins walk away from the Range? :)

MONEYMISSION do you know when the chocolate offer ends? Probably before i can get to a morrisons knowing my luck :D
