    Good morning ladies.

Thank you for all your kind thoughts. Yesterday was hard. I completely crashed in the afternoon, splitting headache, tummy upset, Fibro pain.

I know it's just my body reacting to grief and stress, there is no underlying health issue as such sonothing to worry about. It really is just a case of gping with the flow. Anyway I just went back to bed in the afternoon and stopped fighting.

I feel much better today. DS2 was ok although DS1 had a bit of a wobble. Red letter days, birthdays, anniversaries etc are going to be difficult but we will ride them out.

Rowan - love the mantra. You are so right. We do deserve to wear things that makes us feel good. :D

Loving the outfits ladies.. I'm not dressed yet but as I'm deep cleaning the kitchen this morning I wont be dressing up just in case I spill bleach all over myself.

I think I'm a little old for ripped and bleached jeans:rotfl:

Absolutely agree. I'm loving the very act of clearing out stuff I'm not that fond of and finding that I'm making an effort to wear what's left (now that I've found it!).

Glad you found a skirt sava.
I saw this in a magazine yesterday:

It's not a shop I normally bother with but there are a couple of branches nearby. I might take a look as it could be cheap and nasty in the hand.

I had my nails done this morning. I'm definitely wearing them shorter and today they're my favourite deep aubergine colour.:)

I like the look of that top, the cut and the way it drapes look very flattering.

I notice that you buy quite a bit online. I've never actually done this yet. What shops do you suggest I look,at.

The thing is I have a bit of a problem with fabrics, i often love the look and design of a garment but then find the fabric seems cheap and nasty, that is creases easily etc.

I bought a couple of tops recently in Sainsbugs - they were ok ish but the fabric does crumple and crease easily and they seem a bit flimsy.

I seem to find this a lot and not just with cheap shops either.
  • Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly LL. Try to get plenty of rest if you can. Nice top maman. I've had some lovely bargains of good quality clothes in the BHF shop I'm voluntering in. Lovely evening top and nice bright green mac for Spring today.

Yes - nice top Maman. I'm a bit too long in the tooth for sleeveless though! I must admit I tend to buy a lot of my every day clothes in the supermarkets - you have to pick & choose though. I've had some lovely stuff over the years but its often buried among the c*ap!
Don't tend to buy online but that's because I'm tall & I like to try things on. I'm square shouldered too & I've bought small men's stuff in the past - as the fit is better and long in the arm.
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

No LL, I just posted a link so you could see it. I'll take a wander to my nearest M&Co and see it in my hand before I buy. I did buy a skirt online from Hush (on recommendation from here) a few weeks back and my Jack Wills jacket because DD1 already had one so I knew t was gorgeous. I'll only buy online if it's postage free and free returns for something I can't get locally. I'm fortunate to live close to several good shopping centres, only an hour from London if needs be and then there's the chazza shops!!;)

Ah, sorry I got the wrong end of the stick, silly me.

I'm one of those people who like to see, feel, and touch things before I buy.

I've not really got to grips with online shopping yet, apart from books, tools etc.

I've had a really lazy day and have not achieved much.

    Must do better tomorrow :rotfl:

    Evening fabbers,

Spent the last day or two feeling very lethargic but did manage to achieve my usual level of fabbing.

I find buying clothes very difficult it's something i really dread and my friends think i am mad as they all love shopping.
Maybe it was because i was very overweight for a few years and there is nothing that nice in the really big sizes. My DH tells me that i still see myself as a size 24 and thats why i detest clothes shopping.

    Keep safe and well fabbers

    regards

I hate real shopping too - hence the Hush thing.

Has anyone tried the face mask on Glamour magazine this month for £2investment?

    Hello all,

Hex2 I got the shower gel and the mask as a treat. I was going to buy the magazine anyway so an extra £2 for a lovely shower gel for going away is nice.

Maman the top is lovely I liked the flow of it, a good buy for the summer & nights out. I am one for getting a touch of the material too.

Been trying to continuing eating healthily and have lost another 1 lb- the lowest weight I have been in over a year. Although trying on jeans the other day was still the soul destroying experience it always is!! :(

On the pampering front I have slipped a little as just so tired. I did do a face mask two days ago but apart from that I've not done much. A body scrub and lashings of moisturiser needed I think. So tired as working weekends so no days of at the mo. Lots of early nights in bed with 24 though. Need to up my game a bit on daily fabbing. I have booked a hair appointment for middle of month. I also have a deals voucher for massage to book.

Wardrobe has finally been cleared out bit by bit. Only things that are left are things that fit well and mostly like I like. A couple of pairs of new leggings are required. They are so comfy. I love them, easy to smarten up. Looking forward to shopping for few bits. But no rush. Refuse to buy anything unless I love it.. :)

Anyway folks hope everyone is well ...:) :)
