  • Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well. I'm off on holiday first thing tomorrow so am really looking forward to that. A rest will do me good I think. I have a wedding to go to in a months time which I am already panicking about. Have to find a dress as well as some sort of cover up. Am fed up with my hair too and don't know what to do with it! Will tackle all that after I get back from my holiday!

Happy holiday PQ. I'm sure it will do you good and that you will come back refreshed and raring to go then sorting yourself out for that wedding will come more easily.

Feeling a little low today. It's would have been OHs birthday so feeling a bit fragile.it was dads birthday yesterday, I don't know why I bother with him. He was dismissive about his present, didn't like the cake I took him and was generally grumpy and obnoxious :rotfl: sod him....ive got bigger fish to fry.

Well today I'm back on the wagon. I feel so fat and frumpy, I look in the mirror and hate what I see. I have no excuses - ive let this happen.

My hair is ok and I have some reasonable clothes but I'm not making the most of myself. I just feel so shattered all the time and everything is just a huge effort.

So today it's back to the Paleo and lets see if I can find some energy from somewhere.

Oh dear that all sounds so negative...... Not like me at all.

Note to self. Snap out of it, cheer up and thank your lucky stars for all the blessings. :o

Right time for some fabbing, then tidy up, some paperwork and then cook dinner. Tonight I shall raise a glass to OH.

Re the photos - I havent planned what to do with them long term. For now it's just a general sort out and maybe just put them in some sort of catagories. I will make sure they are all labelled with nAmes and dates etc.

LL - I'm very much in a 'need to snap out of it' mood at the moment. I guess the good thing is being able to recognise it. Next step is doing something about it...

Only small amounts of fabbing for me at the moment - recovering from shingles.

I have switched from WW online to MFP - 2 benefits so far I have lost 7lb in 3 weeks /QUOTE]

Glad you are recovering, shingles is not nice at all. Be very kind and gentle with yourself as you get your energy back.

What is MFP? I've been doing the 5:2 for a few weeks but only let go of a couple of pounds so far. Probably didn't help going to john lewis yesterday for the free coffee and cake ;)

Myfitnesspal is an online food diary/calorie counter, it calculates calorie requirements and deficits to help you loose weight. I have my fitbit linked and it counts as exercise on MFP. The more I walk the more treats I can have!

Definitely! Have a big hug as today is one of the more difficult ones but I'm sure your mood will start to lift as the weather picks up. I don't think your father is going to change but you did the right thing so that's what matters.

Today I dried the washing outdoors for the first time since last year!:j Silly to be excited about such a simple thing but I'm so looking forward to better weather.

Have a great holiday PQ. I often find that sunshine holidays can present just the right amount of rest and boredom to get my mind buzzing with plans. I always have a notebook/diary to hand.

Done all my basic fabbing today and got dressed in a skirt ready for dance class tonight, will do make up later. I'm planning to get my nails done tomorrow.

    Take care all.

getting there slowly thanks, I will give 'my fitness pal' a go.

Maman I'm amazed you were drying your washing outside, we had hail and snow together (snail???) :D

Not much fabbing today but I cleared more clothes out and have another couple of bags for the cs and some more for Ebay.
It feels very therapeutic - like me saying to the Universe "I deserve to only wear things that make me feel good" :T

Off now for a soak in the bath and face mask - got a nice Clarins sample in town yesterday so will give it a go.

Evening All - just catching up with you all. LL - be gentle with yourself, the 'down' feeling will pass - hugs.
Maman - doesn't it cheer you up when you can get the washing outside?
I bit the bullet & bought a black jersey straight skirt on Saturday. Its a little too long so will take a couple of inches off it. I intend wearing it with black sheer tights and ankle boots and a bright coloured top - will see how it looks after I've altered it
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

    Hi everyone,

I have fallen off the fabbing wagon but am getting back on. Its just that I have slipped on the maintenance recently, but I have kept up with painting my toenails!!! I have a hairdressers appointment booked on Saturday for a long overdue cut.

The 'going out top' is still eluding me. I saw a couple of tops in Karen Millen that looked promising, but when I tried them on, I didn't like them enough for the money. I haven't really had much time to go shopping, though.

I did buy a jersey blazer yesterday, which I'm really pleased with. I have a huge bust, so I do find it difficult to find blazers that fit properly. I never really like the jersey style ones, but I saw a blogger wearing one and gave it go. It really does smarten up my look, whilst still being comfortable.

One of my most difficult areas to work with are my feet as I really do suffer with dry skin (not particularly hard, but very dry and flaky). I have noticed that since I started wearing leather shoes, they are much less dry. I guess this is because the leather lets my feet 'breathe'. I've had to go back to cheapo shoes now, as I have a long commute to work and find that shoes don't last long, so I'm reluctant to pay for a expensive pair.
