Frugal Frump to Fab - 2015

Still spraying (almost) every day, and sticking to my morning and evening cleanse and moisturise routine (almost) every day.
I'm now working on adding in handcream - another item I have loads of in the house as I've always found it too much 'faff' as none of them seem to soak in like I'd want them to. But I'm going to persevere and use up, and then persuade my OH to let me try his before I buy any more (pricey, though he says it's worth every penny - but then he doesn't use every day as it's only certain weather conditions and jobs at work leave his hands dry). However, I suspect that could be a good couple of years away even if I remember to use every morning and evening !!!Cheryl0 -
Someone on here suggested keeping it in the car so you can use it at traffic light guys or after parking the car before getting out and going about your day..0

rarely use the car these days
actually taking it out on Friday for the first time in [strike]two[/strike] three weeks (son uses it to get to/from work between my uses, so it's not just sitting around which wouldn't do it any good)

Good Evening Fabbers,

Hope everyones well

I'm in bed having an early night and catching up on all the fabbing news. There's been some great work exercising, bargain hunting and kondoing - all your efforts are keeping me motivated
Since I dragged the Wii fit out to weigh myself last week I've been using it every day and also went for a long walk in the sleet and snowy rain on Sunday. Walked my neighbours dog yesterday too so another long walk.
I'm off to the dentist tomorrow to have some work done on a crown and it's something I've been putting off for a while. I'm not worried about going to the dentist but am a bit worried in case what the dentist is going to try doesn't work. Anyway, fingers crossed.Crazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000 -

Same here cw. My DH has Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector to give it its official title and I really like it. I need to take a look and see if I've any hand cream lurking but I might just 'share' his in future.
I've done all the basics (well almost, letting my hair dry off a bit before blow drying). At last I finished the big tub of footcream so that's gone in the bin. I found a small tube of Scholl in the cupboard so that's next for using up.
I'm enjoying my version of Kondo. Yesterday I ended up with a bag for the bin and a bag for the CS but also increased space. With the toiletries the papmpering is almost a pleasant bonus as I also get great pleasure from being mse and clearing clutter from my bathroom cupboards.
Today I've got some ironing to do but will try to fit in a bit of a declutter too.:)0 -
Just two small things today. I threw away a lip liner, it's way too dark and a horrible sludgy colour, so it's in the bin. I also filed my nails and put on a clear varnish. Colour always looks weird on me, but clear and shiny looks nice.
Have a good day.0 -
Good afternoon ladies
Just enjoying five minutes on line whilst I have lunch.
I too am busy "Kondoing". I bought several boxes over from DS1s house and have been through. Oh dear, each box holds so many memories but it has to go. My darling was such a hoarder.......bless him, how many clocks do you need.....:rotfl:
There was a Lot of WWI memorabilia, from his grandfather, football stuff, etc. The boys don't want it, so I am just going to be ruthless and get rid of it all.
Anyway ive kept just a couple of special treasures which have meaning to me and I will keep these in the memory box I bought. The rest have been divided into sell, donate and bin.
Ive still got my parents stuff to go through, ive barely scratched the surface there.
We've had a warning about my mum from her medical team.
Apparently she has dipped again, not sure how serious it is but I get the feeling this might be it. I ve had a niggle at the back of my mind for a couple of weeks now. I also had a call from mums sister in Belguim. She was very distressed and I got the distinct impression that she was having some sort of premonition.
My sister is prepared now and ready so we are just hoping that if it is imminent then it will be quick. I confronted dad a couple of weeks ago, and asked for guidance on what he wants done re funerals, services etc.
I can't believe I'm having to go through all this again......hopefully BIL will step up to the plate and give me a hand, although of course I will still have to do all the financial stuff.
Fabwise, I'm doing ok - still tired and lethargic but have started a few gentle Pilate type exercises, working on my back and neck.
The sun has popped out and it's quite mild so I will go for a little walk.0 -
The Second Best Marigold Hotel - enjoyed it very much. Maggie Smith has some brilliant lines & watching her & Judi Dench makes you realise just how good actors they are. I think no one knew what to expect for the first one & maybe they had 'expectations' for the second one. I thought it was done very well & tied up a few 'loose ends'
No fabbing today 'cos I've been 'bottom scraping' & the end is in sight (pun not intended haha) When I got back from the gym yesterday I washed my hair & slathered it in conditioner & put a shower cap over it & then ran my bath while I gave myself a mini facial - good job no one at homeMy hair feels lovely - it was very dry & now it feels like hair should! Think I need to 'treat' it a bit more often.
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Thanks for the review.
I re watched the first film last night in readiness, hoping to go next week to see it.
I'm currently watching A series on Netflick called "Dexter" - a black comedy about a serial killer. Not everyone's cup of tea I grant you, but if you like your comedy on the dark side then it's rather good. It also looks at the moral issues surrounding "good" and "evil" so if you like a bit of armchair psychology then it's quite interesting.
I have ground to a halt with the Kondoing so it's just a quick tidy up whilst I cook dinner and then hopefully a nice restful evening. I shall give myself a manicure later.0
