Frugal Frump to Fab - 2015

Had my hair done yesterday - got a nice surprise when I came to pay as I didn't know they had £10 off in February (Saks at David Lloyd in Derby).
Gave myself manicure and pedi and wore new cardi and skirt (bought before Christmas but not yet worn) to go out for dinner with my man to celebrate his birthday. It felt good to get dressed up for a change.Crazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000 -
Oh my goodness. I have just done some exercise, I am so unfit! Still, day one is over and I'm looking forward to tomorrow.
Sounds like everyone is making progress, great to read and very motivating for me as I've not been as on top of things as I would like. Have a good day.0 -
Sounds like a bargain rowan and great that you got to go out and show it off too. I always try to coincide my haircuts with some event or another. I reckon if I'm paying for a blow dry I might as well make the most of it.
It's a beautiful day here. We've just got back from visiting a NT place to see the snowdrops. Really beautiful but I'd call it more ambling than exercise. Such a feeling of promise in the air.
I had a wander around the NT shop while I was there. I'm looking for a colour scheme inspiration for the sitting room to give colour accents to a cream basics. I'm wondering whether a woollen rug might be OK. I want something fairly timeless rather than a statement wall or anything too trendy. Always open to ideas so do feel free to comment;)
I'm keeping up with all the basics too but today was a day more for warmth and sturdy footwear than fashion. I did do light make up though.
I'm going to give Kondo (?) a serious go as I really need to keep decluttering. I've watched the clips on folding jumpers/t shirts but I think it goes far beyond that. Perhaps I'll trawl the thread on OS.0 -

Maman, just come on over, it is another helpful and friendly place, just like this one and so inspiring, I have bought the book, but if you read the whole thread and see the Pinterest page a lovely person has created with lots of tips and you tube vids about the folding etc you can a fair way into it anyway:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. Really you could get away with most colours with cream. Is the room light, or do you want to bring more light in? What overall feel are you going for (warm & cozy, light & bright etc.). I have a creamy beige carpet and walls accented with jade and gold.Crazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000 -
Anyone thinking about a Nutribullet I've just bought one for £74. Groupon have a deal on where you can buy £50 to use at Very for £25. Nutribullet is £99 at very with free click and collect, so with the Groupon voucher the total cost is £74.
I'm now a bit wracked with guilt for spending £74 but I'm also a bit excited tooCrazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000 -
I brought my nutri bullet about 8 months ago and I'm still using it already 4 times a week. I've even used it to blend homemade soup.
Don't feel guilty just think how beta u will feel by upping your fruit n veg in take. Don't be afraid of using spinach u really can't taste it. I usually use spinach, a carrot, Apple n banana n yogurt. Sometimes I use frozen mixed berries too0 -

Can you put things like carrot in whole or do you grate them first?Crazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000 -

I just chop into about 4 chunks. Don't peel. It's mainly to get more in the cup. (Which I often over fill!) Have fun experimenting. I have had some so thick I've had to eat with a spoon. I have now learnt to add more water.
Tooties liking your style. I'm abit of a cardigan queen myself and have 3 black ones, different styles. U can't bet a good cardy especially liking the ad sound of a red one. My favorite clothing colour is black white n red. Which makes me sound like a newspaper but I think looks rather smart.0
