We have a nutribullet. And a whole fruit juicer. Married to gadget man!

The nutribullet is good for frozen stuff so OH has frozen pineapple, frozen mango, and frozen pineapple topped up with orange juice as a treat, it makes an almost ice cream texture but without the dairy. The juicer we use for carrot and apple juices mostly - useful as we have fruit trees.

Green stuff works better in the nutribullet in my experience but the texture tends to be more obvious than juiced materials. Kale clangs up the juicing machine.

  • Hello Mim - welcome to our merry gang. I loved your post, I found it uplifiting and inspirational. You have achieved so much already and seem to be well on track to full Fabulousity........;)

Well I managed to stagger into Physio today. She was shocked at the state i was in today but gave me a really good deep tissue massage, really concentrating on my neck and shoulders. I nipped I to Du helm and bought myself a new pillow to see if that will help.

I felt so exhausted that ia actually went to bed this afternoon and slept for a couple of hours. Had dinner and have spent a couple of hours dozing on the sofa. I guess I must have needed the sleep because I just completely zonked out.

My fibromhas been really bad this last few days, all stress related of course and of course it's at times like this when my healthy eating slips and I neglect to exercise.

Hopefully after my Physio and my rest I can begin again tomorrow.

My DS2 bought me the nutribullet. I still need to get properly to,grips with it, but I tried a few combinations and they seemed ok.

Thanks for the tip about frozen fruit. Daft question. Do you have to defrost the fruit first.......

It would certainly work out cheaper than fresh fruits.

I have managed a bit more Decluttering and "Kondoing" - very therapeutic. Hoping to stArt organising my desk etc this weekend.

Lesson learned I don't defrost the fruit other than leaving it on the work top for 10 minutes. The bananas I peel before I freeze them. Pineapple I chop and freeze reduced fresh ones, so bash the bag and add a handful. Mango pulp I bought some big tins and then froze them in ice cube trays so a couple of cubes go in. I understand that you can freeze kale and use that straight from frozen too. I've not tried frozen stuff in the blender, just in his nutribullet.

Sorry to hear you are having a flare, stress is such a challenge. I bought a memory foam mattress and one of the shaped pillows a few years ago and they really help me. Greenbee recommended Epsom salt baths as well which also help.

Some serious fabbing today - DGD has rung to say she can do my 'roots' so I shall also be doing her eyebrows as she hates doing her own. Fair trade I think!
LL if you are sleeping that much your body obviously need it. My Mum always used to say that sleep was as good as food.

I'm ashamed to say I'm still sitting here in my nightie & dressing gown. Today is my WI day and I've lost 1lb :)

Planning on a relatively restful day in readiness for the Ball tonight.

In a few minutes I intend to:

Have a shower & moisturise all over.
Blow dry my hair again because it's gone flat already.
Re-paint one of my nails as I smudged it yesterday.
Will do make later before going out.

Tonight the dress I plan to wear is like this but on mine the belt is the same colour as the dress which is the Candy Lilac one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lindy-Bop-50-039-s-Audrey-Hepburn-Style-Dress-Cognac-amp-Candy-/301335815159?var=600341205523&_trksid=p2056016.m2516.l5255

I'll wear this with a white short sleeved bolero with a few sparkly bits on, cream sparkly shoes (only worn once before) which I love and a pearl beaded evening bag. For travelling I have a black velvet jacket and a black 'fur' wrap which I made from a faux sable throw from B&M. I have white sparkly dancing shoes to change into.

Make up will be the works, foundation, eyeshadow(not sure what shade yet), mascara, blusher & lippy (pink to match my nails).

I have a new necklace which has shades of purple beads and some purple drop earrings.

I'm really looking forward to getting dressed up but a bit nervous about the dancing. We are going with my sister who is 10 years younger, tall and slim and has been dancing for about 7yrs compared to our measly 1yr. It will be the first time we have seen each other dance.

Maman enjoy your wedding and wearing the size 8 dress.

MIM - I soooo want to go dancing, but I need to get a bit fitter first......

Maman - hope you have a fab time At the wedding. Go you in your size 8:D

I had a fantastic sleep, last night, a full 8 hours, and that was after all my naps yesterday. Just call me Doormouse. ;) Seriously though I feel sooooo much better.,

Well I think I may have some good news.

Saw two apartments today, one in each of two blocks. I deliberately got there early and had a good walk round the complex. There are three blocks in the complex, and I've realised that I want to be in the block which I did not visit today.

Anyway the EA asked what I thought and I told her what I wanted.

She gave me a wink and said if you can wait a bit I will be able to oblige. My preferred block has the best views, faces South, and the flats are a little bigger than the ones I saw today. Obviously they will cost a bit more but are still comfortably in budget. Wahoo.

The location is spot on, literally a 5 minute walk from DS1s house, smack bang in the middle of the city, within spitting distance of everything to gladden the heart of an urbanite like me and tucked away by the river surrounded by trees and green stuff to muffle the sound of traffic. Perfick;)

so - keeping my fingers crossed .......

Time for a cuppa and a bit of house fabbing. Going to "Kondo" my lotions and potions and then that's my bedroom done. The inside of my wardrobe and cupboards are so neat and tidy now and I've freed up lots of space. I've bought a couple of nice art prints and I will put out my pretty bits and pieces and my glamourous "boudoir" will be finished. I still might look for a chandelier, all boudoirs need a chandelier.......:rotfl:

Hoping to start the study next week.

    Happy Valentines Day everyone.

Now that I have no one to share it with, I bought myself a chocolate orange which I will share with DS2. DS1 has taken his new love to London for the weekend, bless his romantic heart. :D

Thanks for the good wishes. I've had my hair highlighted this morning so all on track for tomorrow. I even managed a walk.

Your dress looks fab mim. Do you wear full petticoats under it? I hope you have a great time tonight, just relax and enjoy yourself it's not a competition!

So pleased you are getting keen on the apartments LL. It's good that you can afford to wait until the right one comes up. maybe you could send us a link as I'm incredibly nosy!:o I envy you the massage and all the sleep. I've had the odd massage with a beautician but I'd love to go for a spa day. Unfortunately none of my RL friends are really into that except one who goes with her DH.:(

I'd suggest you look in Wilkinsons for a chandelier. I don't know current stock but I bought one in there for our guest room.

Took a bus ride earlier and had a good time people watching. Not only is it something I enjoy;) but it gives e tips on what looks good and what definitely doesn't!!:rotfl:

LL I'm far from fit after my first lesson last year DD2 said I looked absolutely exhausted. I was, but I'm learning to adapt/save my energy levels so I can cope. My SIL has done dancing in the past but she has back troubles and finds it very hard on the back so doesn't go anymore.

Maman Yes, I do have a petticoat for it. I originally bought the dress for my 1950's themed night when we have our dance weekend in April. I had planned on wearing something else for tonight but it's still a bit too tight and not really suitable for a Ball anyway. I'm much happier with this choice.

Showered, moisturised etc (had to apply two coats as so dry) and now enjoying a cuppa before getting into dress and doing make up. I've had to stuff all my extra bits & bobs, tissues etc, into my dance shoe bag as my evening bag is so tiny I can only just fit my mobile in it.
