Just a suggestion for you ladies who suit Brown's & purples. Petrol Blue is a good blend & also for a lighter colour try Mango - a sort of deep peachy colour & turquoise is a 'universal' colour.
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

rd265 I love the new clothes. You could add some jewellery like a nice necklace or wear a shirt underneath, with the collar over the top.

maman I don't really go out a anywhere posh. In terms of 'going out' clothes, I was thinking of some sparkly or chiffon tops, jet black jeans and wedge heels.

That's what I was thinking too chanie. I've been wearing a few nice angora/cashmere jumpers with black jeans and boots recently. Other times I wear the same tops with my black pencil stretchy skirt (and new one to be delivered:)). When it's a bit warmer I wear my lacy tops with the same jeans and skirts. This type of thing:

but I'm always open for new ideas and suggestions.

    Good morning ladies.

so what's it going to be then, Magic Monday, Miracle Monday, Marvellous Monday or Miserable Monday.....

well for me it's miraculous, magic and marvellous.

My confirmed bachelor DS1 rang me yesterday bursting with excitement because he has finally met "The One". He doesn't bother with women, he is very fussy and won't waste his time on someone he's not that keen on. He tells me "he just knows". Of course he's right, we All "just know" don't we when the right one finally comes along.

Anyway can't wAit to meet her. She comes from Venezuela - iIve always wanted to visit South America.....:rotfl Her parents live in Madrid and she hAs family in Barcelona (I adore Barcelona) and Pisa - not been but I adore Italy even morethan Barcelona. time to brish up my Spanish and Italian;)

Watch this space, I may need to sort looking for a nice fancy hat.:D

Speaking of clothes. It seems we've all been adding to our wardrobes this weekend. I had a little splurgevtoo. I bought some grey jeggings, a couple of mini dresses, and a couple of long sleeve t shirts. didn't push the Boat out, they were only from ASDA but they'll keep me going until spring proper.

It's a lovely day here, so will go for a walk later, and then some paperwork and then some decluttering today.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

Maman that top is exactly the kind of thing I'm interested in, as it can be dressed up or down.

Lessons learned - fingers crossed for your son's blossoming relationship.

Checking in - usual fabbing done this morning and I will have xbikes tonight. Bootcamp Saturday was killer circuits and OUCH am I sore if I move in the wrong way!! I did learn some moves I can do at home though with my kettle bell and weights which is handy.
Me and OH went shopping yesterday and I got a new cardi from Next, it's just a plain black one but it look much better than the cheapy one I had from Primark which doesn't sit quite right. I was going to get the creamy one too, as OH pointed out it's the sort of colour that I wear and was I sure I wanted the black one (as they were £18 each  ) I would of loved both but I also needed another Just Pink perfume so I had one cardi and one perfume.
Had my nails re-done on Saturday after bootcamp, had a silver/grey metallic colour on 3 fingers and then a lovely Tiffany blue on my ring finger and thumb.
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

  • I have been MIA for weeks and have done nothing!!:o Life has been really intense recently and everything has been on hold - however, the dust has settled, I am in a really good place emotionally and it is time to get onto the wagon in earnest!! :D

Today, I am fabbing the house - I haven't done anything for about a week so it is like living in a house made from dog hair!! Fabbing myself will have to wait until the house is clean - it's driving me nuts!! :rotfl:

I am going to be doing an hour and a half of housework, then I am going to take an hour and dry skin brush, pedicure, shower, exfoliate, defuzz and moisturise. I will then walk the hounds and sort dinner :D

Tomorrow I am starting a 28 day detox - nothing radical;it's basically a vegan based diet but lots of fruit and veg (much more than I would normally eat!!) plenty of water, body treatments, exercise and meditation.....I am really looking forward to it and it will help me to focus my attention on sorting myself out! :T I have everything I need and am raring to go! :D

I will do much better with keeping up with the thread now too....anything that can help me focus is a major bonus!! :rotfl:

  • Hi everyone! I've got great intentions this year and one of them is to lose weight and feel better in how I look/dress. I found this thread as I'm looking to create a capsule wardrobe of good quality clothes I love. I'm not doing so well on the weight loss (which won't help create a capsule wardrobe as I don't want to buy bigger) but have made a great start with de-cluttering (goodbye 50 pairs of old socks!) and with replacing make up (not that I wear it often). I hope to start with the clothes this week.

I wear perfume every day but do need to find a cheaper one so I can cover myself or spritz again at lunchtime!

LL - Definitely Marvellous Monday -so pleased for your DS - its really lovely for him to have a special person in his life - sending you & him good wishes.

Only basic tabbing today but I did put my hair up differently - I'd spotted a lady when I had lunch with DS last week whose hair was similar to mine & had a nice 'up do' so I copied it! Looked much better than shoving it up in a clip :)

Butterscotch - Welcome to the thread, a capsule wardrobe is such good sense. BTW good perfume will usually last all day - its just that you get used to it and can't smell it after a few hours. TBH a good one is more economical in the long run.

    Good Evening Fabbers,

Done my usual fabbing today including mascara, i was thinking that such a silly little thing like mascara makes me feel a bit more like a million dollars.

Really have to make a determined effort to find a salon and get my eyes booked in. I purchased an eye cream on sunday so that's also an addition to my fabbing.

    Lets keep on fabbing

    regards
