    Good Evening Fabbers,

Done all my usual fabbing this morning including the mascara.

Shortly i am going for a long hot soak in the bath, defuzz, facemask, hard skin removal, shampoo and condition. Then all the creams and moisturisers.

    Have a good night everyone

    regards

Fabbing has been going well for the past couple weeks. It took a back seat as I was recovering from a stinking cold over Xmas and it has taken a couple of weeks to feel like 'me' again.

I've just got back from a party. I did my hair and make up and felt good. It did make me realise I have gaps in my wardrobe for some nice going out cloths, as I have nice everyday stuff.

I haven't any hope of catching up on the thread, but will pop in as and when I can. I hope you are all ok.

Good to see you posting LB and don't worry about keeping up, just jump into the conversation when you can. I'm definitely planning to force DH out on a snowdrop walk very soon as otherwise mundane tasks just take over.

Thanks for the heads up on the jewellery. I've got pieces from my mum and aunt and must make a point of wearing them more often.
    scruffy next to everyone else.
I think my main problem is that I really suit colours like brown, deep purple/aubergine but there's not a lot of it about so Ive been wearing black, charcoal etc or a brighter purple and I know these don't look so good.

I'm much the same betty which is why I was delighted to find a replacement purple dress for the well worn one I have. I wore the 'old' purple shift for Fab Friday but it's not good enough for a wedding hence the new one to go with my purple coat and shoes.
I've improved in buying scarves and cheap/CS tops in a range colours but if I'm parting with good money it has to be in a neutral colour like black or fawn/camel/cream.

I'm glad you enjoyed your party chanie. What sort of 'going out' clothes were you thinking of? I find I've got very dressy (black tie/wedding) outfits or smart casual (skirt or jeans and jumper) but if I go to a posh restaurant I'm limited to a few lacy tops which I've worn too many times.

I had a go at LL's facial advice this morning but just using stuff I had in. So double cleansing (with two different cleansers ;)) and then a clay mask that was a freebie from Body Shop. I haven't noticed an instant improvement but I did enjoy the process of pampering myself a bit!:rotfl:

Lovely bright day but very chilly here. Hope everyone's enjoying the weekend.:)

Morning everyone... I have to say I'm the same with going out clothes I really struggle and need to get s few bits and pieces. I work 6/7 days most weeks so don't go out much but I do need a few things for when I do as it's always the same 1 or 2 toos I wear. I find it hard to do anything between black tie it student casual. Both of them I can manage well- anything in between I really struggle with. I might try the personal shopper experience to see what that's like in debenhams .... Anyone any ideas, I'm only middle/late 30's so still young (ish??) :):) :0)

I've just had a really successful trip to tk maxx. Bought a gorgeous new work bag that will fit everything inside (unlike the current one) in chocolate brown leather, plus a couple of decent brown sleeveless tops (to be worn under jackets only). I now need to make sure I don't just wear brown!

I shall be doing an ebay session thing evening to try to recoup the money I've spent...

    Hi all

I've done some (but not as much as I would've liked!) fabbing the last few days.

I have this jumper in the dark red, dark green and nude (pinkish-cream).

I like to wear them to work because they are long (how hard is it to find long jumpers?!) and warm. I team them with my black trousers:

    and my new black boots:

But I do feel like the jumpers are maybe not as smart as I'd like. Unfortunately it seems that to stay warm enough I have to compromise on style! How can I smarten them up?
  • Hi DD265

What about a nice light scarf to add in some colour & texture? I love scarves.

Betty- I've never tried pin-interest but I'll have a look thanks.

Another vote for a nice scarf from me - I'd also go for nice earrings and/or necklace. They can make a huge difference! Good luck!
