Thanks LL, I'm just not good at these things. Encyclopaedic on the calorific values of bananas and so on but useless at beauty and skin care. Hope today was ok.
I had thermal wooly tights on and tall black sheepskin boots on with the quilted skirt but the wind was bad. Probably bad in trousers too. I bought a couple of skirts and a dress in the Hush sale to try and break my default black trousers uniform.
As soon as I got home I added thermal long johns, socks and old lady sheepskin slippers which my husband assures me was impressively attractive
Looking forward to the facial. I have vague memories of being put off by house mates description of knitting needles in pores and her subsequent spots 20 years ago. I've been converted in the last year to the value of spa days as part of managing my health issues so thought it was time to take the plunge.
Useful feedback sweet cheeks thanks. This is the crystal clear microdermabrasion one and they do advise a course but the reviews are good even for a one off. I heal very slowly and the marks of spots can stay for months, sometimes years, so I figure it's worth a try. I can do it again if it is good but I think before and after ruthless photos are required.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Ha ha hex2 I have a nightly on with leggings a dressing gown- hot water bottle & socks & boots slippers... Obviously the over night romance is well & truly gone lol0

Evening All
I've just got back from my Circuits and Aerobics class and my weekly weigh in. I haven't lost anything since last week- which although isn't surprising is disappointing. Mind you, I was supposed to be having just a snack before I went and did so, a mug of tomato soup. Unfortunately, I then got out the left over sticky toffee puddings I'd made for the weekend from the freezer for DH's tea - and discovered that frozen sticky toffee pudding and toffee sauce actually tastes like fudge icecream!! Lets just say that instead of 2 puddings there is now only one for him.
To make me feel even more annoyed with myself I saw a photo of myself at Circuits last week and was horrified as I thought I looked slimmer than that. The photo made me look very short and dumpy and the girl I was partnered with who I thought was bigger than me looked far better. So I shall have to renew my healthy eating with vigour and do my very best to lose the rest of the weight I need to and stop kidding myself that just because I can fit into size 10 outfits that I am slim enough.
However, despite the despondency I have had loads of compliments about my new hair style so shall cheer myself up with that and go to bed remembering Scarlett O Hara's saying - Tomorrow is another day.

Thanks for posting the Debenhams links. I'm impressed! I was worried that they'd only show things from Debenhams collection and the like but they look to be a good selection DD.
Thanks for posting about Hush Hex. It's not a site I've ever come across. I really fancy the pencil skirt as my (very similar) one was a cheapie from Matalan and I've worn it loads and could do with replacing.
Is the sizing good? Big? small?0 -
Good Evening Fabbers,
So sorry i haven't been around these parts for the last 5 days or so, i just needed to take some me time and switch off from all the technology.
I haven't had time to read the thread so i hope everyone is warm, safe and well.
I have been keeping up with my fabbing but i know i could be doing more, i think February is all about my eyes.
I need an eyebrow wax and tint and a lashes tint, until i manage to find a place to book into i will endeaver to at least apply some mascara. Thats the theory whether i will keep up the mascara or not is another matter.

Tomorrow is another day -
hopefully a better one than today...... I did manage to get my hair done but that's about all.0 -
Thanks for the lovely welcome.
I might not post as much as I'd like, as I'm really busy at the moment with uni work and my job. Feel like I haven't had a minute to myself since Christmas lol.
Anyway, since I posted on here I've been out walking every day. Not massive walk (around 5000 steps on my pedometer), but more than I was doing before, so will keep going and try and get up to the recommended 10000 steps a day soon.
I've worn perfume every day AND straightened my hair rather than scraping it back in an elastic! On Saturday I have a full day off and plan to go to the hairdressers and have my hair cut and dyed, then go and have my nails and eyebrows done.
Onwards and upwards!0 -
Thanks for the welcome and somewhere to encourage me to make some changes.
Maman, not sure what the mirror test is but guessing it involves a good old evaluation.
LL - I'm going to gather up my supplies and have a go at that facial today.
I will do some yoga at home and also give myself a manicure and continue with the great wardrobe clear out.
I'm chuckling at the thought of us all fabbing then getting home and changing into the thermals, pj's and slippers.
Keep warm and keep fabbing :-)Crazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000 -
Not much fabbing today - its a 5:2 day but flurries of snow here so will be having HM tomato soup for lunch. Yoga session tonight & then Sardines on Toast and settle down to watch The sewing Bee & Death in Paradise - Oh the giddy heights of excitement!!
Lovely day with DS yesterday and lovely lunch too (nice bottle of red wine between us!) He bought jeans, trousers, shorts & shoes. We went into M&S to look for a sweater for him or something for me with my voucher - nothing! I havn't been there for ages but none of the clothes either for him or me made any impact whatsoever. I just wonder which market M&S seem to be targetting. I'll probably end up using my voucher on some skincare instead.
I did buy a lovely pair of grey leather ankle boots with a wedge heel in a
shop that does orthotics. They were reduced to £20.00 and they really called to me.......................:) so all in all a good day.
Rose & LL - I've always liked Scarlett's other saying. 'She didn't know what she would do bu she would think of something' its used frequently in this household!
Happy fabbing all & stay warmSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Hello everyone!
Fabbing's gone out the window this week as I've had a cold and feel rotten. Stayed in bed yesterday, managed to get out for a bit today but feeling worse again so staying in tonight.
Today I wore my grey roll neck jumper over a grey tie dye skater style dress, leggings and boots. Grey nails to match, oh and red nose to match my coat!
I've been eating junk as I just CBA, so not feeling very positive all round really
Oh well, tomorrow is another day!0
