Maman I'm a 12 in Matalan and a s/m in a Hush if that helps? I think they say 10/12. I found them a few months ago via amodelrecommends blog and now own 5 jumpers, 2 skirts and a dress. Worth sitting tight for the sales.

Sweetcheeks I'm glad it's not just me with the practical evening outfits. Tonight is fingerless gloves and multiple layers.

I wore skirt two today because I know the office I was in has a full length mirror. I am thinner than I tell myself I am :)

  • Good for you Hex2 :) we mostly are thiner than we tell ourselves we are.. Although after loosing 3 lbs I put my jeans I wear with trainers today and it's fair to say after eating not healthily and drinking wine in Edinburgh & the day previous!! they were a little tight again lol.. So Mac cheese tonight for dinner and back to adding more veggies to my day etc.

Boots had a lovely reduced section today so ended up buying some bits n pieces that I don't need aargh lol bought some indeed hydrolic serum, moisture jelly & masks set and some nail polish for toes for 20 p & no 7 mascara & brightening masks too. Nice haul for £27 from £120... Also remembered the eye make up remover! To tired tonight but plan is for facial tomorrow night after LL's post. With this cold weather I'm sure skin can do with a moisture boost.

    Hope everyone is well

    Good evening Fabbers,

Still snowy here but it was a really mild day so we had a bit of a thaw.

Got all my usual fabbing done today and i did plenty of house fabbing too.

I am planning on LL's facial at some point over the weekend.

    I even managed the mascara.

    Keep warm, safe and well,

    Regards

    Morning All - FABBY Friday!!!

Going out tonight to see an Eagles tribute band (managed to drag DH away from NCIS) so full fabbing today. Weigh in this morning - havn't lost anything. I'm blaming the wine on Wednesday lol

Sweetcheeks you did really well with your beauty bargains - but did you REALLY mean Hydrolic serum?? I bet that will plump up your cheeks ;)

    Have a good day everyone

  • Happy Fab Friday everyone!

I started my prep last night. I did a coconut oil mask on my hair before washing and it feels lovely and smooth today. I removed my chipped nail polish and slathered my hands in hand cream and vaseline before putting on cotton gloves to sleep in. Hands also feel nice and soft and smooth today! I even polished the boots that I am wearing today, so I feel pretty smug.

    Good morning all

Well it's Fab Friday and I Have a made a good stab at fabbing. However I'm really not feeling too well so have cancelled my appts today. I shall just take it easy and catchup with myself a bit. I will go for a walk and see if that helps.

As I'm sure you can appreciate ive struggled this week . It would have Been our wedding anniversary and I found ive been a tad weepy this week, but the worst is the splitting headache. I have it 3 days now and it won't shift. I know it's stress related and it will clear soon - I'll. Be fine in a day or so.

I'll get some fesh air and just have a gentle potter about.

I'm not going to weigh myself this week - I know ive slipped so I wont torture myself::rotfl:

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

LL - take it easy on yourself & when you go for a walk just remember all the lovely times you shared with DH. We're all very aware of how hard this time is for you and send Gentle Hugs & hope your headache clears soon xx

I think I'm just going to write off this week.

I had an omelette for brunch. Sometimes I'm ok with eggs, sometimes I'm not. I'm doubled up with IBS pain and the headache still won't shift.

    I'm feeling FED UP.

On a lighter note I did managed to get my hair done this week and a deep cleansing face mask yesterday. I used Fullers Earth and witch hazel. my skin looks a bit brighter today.

I shall do two a week for a couple of weeks. I always feel that my skin looks a bit washed out by at this time of the year, and a series of clay masks seems to help.

I'm also going to try a mild diy skin peel next week. I will report back....

This morning I have given the kitchen a good clean and I have made a start sorting out,the study. Just having a break and then I'll crack on with it later. Oh and I even managed a bit of ironing.

But first a cuppa and a little rest.

Stray Cat seems to have sensed I'm a bit down in the dumps today and has been extra attentive, following me all round the house, even to the extent of following me in the bathroom.....Its like having a toddler again. :rotfl:

    Hello everyone! Happy Fab Friday!

I'm feeling a bit better today, but my head's still a bit bunged up and my ears keep popping, so finding conversations a bit difficult as I can't hear myself or anyone else very well!
Managed to have a quick bath this morning and moisturised, wore my lovely whale necklace with yesterday's grey outfit again.

Had a bit of a stressful day, the doctor's surgery messed up my prescription so I had to go in again to sort it out, thankfully got my prescription ready to fill this evening as I've run out of meds and have already had two days with none due to their mess up! And breathe...

Going to do a bit of house fabbing (also known as tidying up!), then DH and I have a standing coffee date on Fri after work :)
Have a good weekend everyone! x

Virtual hugs to LL, be kind to yourself and start anew on whichever day you count as the beginning of the new week.

Got fabbed up this morning, normal Friday visit to market, but it is "pay day" so treated OH and myself to lunch at ancient inn with roaring log fire, very tasty pub food, all sourced locally. Back home for a cuppa and as it was really sunny and less of a chill wind we walked dog early and for a longer distance, only about half mile each way, but further than I have managed for ages and not too out of breath so really happy about that. Even better, I don't have to cook this evening:D

Preliminary appointment with consultant that I have been waiting for has come through for 2 weeks time, everything takes so long, early December I started having tests, but of course I am really grateful for NHS free at the point of sale so to speak:), in hindsight I should have been a lot more frugal in some areas and kept the medical insurance running after it ceased with employment:( It wasn't free at that time, but was at a very good rate.

Charity coffee morning meet up with friends tomorrow and then a visit to see mum to look forward to.:D
