Happy anniversary Rubies. It's my wedding anniversary tomorrow.
I'm not made for trousers either, my waist is tiny compared to my hips and legs, my calves are big too. So I either have to have something gaping at the waist or fit at the waist and tight on my legs. It's not worth it, so I just wear skirts and dressed, I think they look better on me anyway. For me, they're a no fuss way of looking like I'm put together.
I'm at the charity shop this afternoon so I'm showered, dressed nicely and have some makeup on, I even remembered the perfume. Feeling good. Have a good day everyone.0 -
Still doing day to day things to stay fabulous.
Manicures, pedicures, defuzzing the legs and armpits (even when I can't be bothered and no-one would get to see them), moisturiser and make-up everyday etc.
I have lost 5lbs so far on a 'loose' Paleo diet with dairy, however I am now going to stop the dairy as I feel I have conquered the low-carb withdrawals. Meals may get a bit expensive and repetitive but I want to get my health back to the best it can be and I know dairy makes me bloated and sluggish.
Coffee with almond milk... is surprisingly nice. Just don't use boiling water as the milk can separate, let it cool a tad before adding to the coffee and milk.
Still not giving up coffee, oh no, no way, not ever.
Have a great day all you lovely, fabulous ladies. xx0 -
Rubies..Love the colour orange on me , sadly hardly ever see any in the charity shops that suit me ..i do fancy one of those lovely orange a line tweed skirts i have my mind on! Sounds like you had a lovely anniversary!
Maddiemay..I didn't catch the program sounds rather good..Ill pop it on my too watch list!
I am still here in my dressing gown and pjs ..But I did romise the boys a morning off as we did a long walk yesterday about 3.5 miles which is a lot for little legs!
Have lost 2lb over the past two weeks, pleased with that but my tummy has gone down a lot so look a lot less bloated!
Anway off to get dressed and set out the mornings lessons, Then off to home ed group meet , and Cubs this evening. Have a fab day all xxCompers challenge 27/70

Morning everyone!
Hope the fabbing is going well
Went to the doctor's this morning, not very helpful but she was very nice, so I don't feel too disheartened. I think I'm just going to have to try other avenues. Wasn't feeling too great yesterday, but made myself go out and ended up having an alright day. My appt was at 8.30 this morning so I'm feeling a bit groggy, not used to getting up at 7!
I've got to go to another meeting this afternoon, so might have a wander through the shops on the way. Planning on swimming this evening, then will have another bath and have a scrub and de-fuzz before bed.
I've been doing some research on driving lessons and have ordered the theory dvd pack (got it on ebay, much cheaper than the DVLA!).
HAve a great day everyone x0 -
Good morning everyone
I missed the diet programme, too busy watching Broadchurch but will try and see if I can catch up on I player - ooh get me with all the technology.:rotfl:
Reminds me -
dad has been trialling an iPad - he loves it. Caught him googling Frank Sinatra. Dad is 89 next month. There's hope for me to get techno savvy yet.
Back to the diet programme. Apparently I'm blood group O, which is the oldest and most common, going right back to pre history, so the Paleo diet is definitely the right way for me. I do tend to do Paleo light, allowing some dairy but I can truthfully day I'm over th carb cravings now. I tried a few potatoes last night because I hadn't been shopping. I really didn't enjoy them at all. Isn't that strange how my taste buds are changing.
Re the programme about fat people.
I agree with you there, I felt so sorry for that poor wife, she was so sweet and a virtual prisoner and slave to that horrid man. she was only 21. He had not left the house in 5 years since their marriage so she was just 16 when they married, presumably an arranged marriage.
Poor girl what a life - apparently he has "anger management issues" - ha!! just a fancy excuse for being a male chauvinistic pig in my books.
speaking of MCP's - only joking - DS2has just surfaced and we are off into town today. I might let him treat me to a coffee whilst we are out, maybe even lunch.:rotfl:
He has just complimented me on my appearance, I'm wearing one of my new £5 bargain sweaters. It's cream, long and floaty, very Stevie Nicks, totally impractical of course but I do like it.
Time to get cracking. Have a fab day.0 -
Morning All - Well yesterday was soso. couldn't see anything that 'grabbed' me in M&S but it was one of their smaller shops so will try a bigger one later in the month. I did have a wander round Boots & found a new perfume I liked - Givenchy Organza - although might be a bit heavy for daytime. A lovely lady on the Estee Lauder counter gave me a sample of their BB cream - enough for about a month I think so I'll be using that for a while to see if it suits.
I had my 'spot' lasered - its a bit red at the moment but seems a lot fainter. The guy was really good & said if I decided it needed to be done again to wait at least 4 weeks so I shall see how it looks as it may be enough as it is.
I've been to the gym this morning - no make up but I did use perfume! I'm also on a 5:2 today. I am trying to get back into my routine with 5:2 as it really works for me & suits my lifestyle.
Off to get showered & changed & tidy myself up
BTW LL - I'm also going to look for KonMarie - thank youSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Hi ladies
Started off well - tablets, moisturised, lip care and perfume. Then went to the hairdressers for a cut and colour. I've also filed and buffed my nails (one hand last night and one today). I'm not sure whether I'll paint them as I always catch a finger before the varnish is fully dry and ruin the finish.
Next I'm meeting Mum for lunch so I will abandon my hoody in favour of something a bit dressier! I may even put proper jewellery on!
Admittedly this is not a normal day for me because I'm off work, but it does feel good to be making an effort.0 -
Happy Anniversary for yesterday rubies
It's so lovely to see everyone keep fabbing, it's so motivating!!
I am at work today so I have done the usual hygiene stuff, basic day make-up, spritz of perfume, hair in a pony and fringe clipped back all neatly, black work trousers, pink top with a bow and cardi.
Last night's x-biking was good, i'm getting in to it more now. Tonight I will be running with my friend. Eating is going reasonable, not perfect but it's suiting to me
I watched the 'Real Housewives of Cheshire' last night, was an eye opener :rotfl: they are very glam as are the houses, but then I would like to think so would I if I had that money and staff
Have a lovely day everyone.Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Hi,
Does anyone have a checklist please so that I can start working my way through it?
Thanks0 -
Good Evening Fabbers!!
Up and out early this morning but i managed my fabbing.
No body commented on my hair or anything, it was a bit dissappointing but i am over it now lol.
Been extremely cold and tired today so i have not been very productive. However, tomorrow is another day.
There is a mighty fine bunch of ladies who are looking fab but more importantly feeling fab! I'm so glad i decided to join this club.
Regards:j0
