    Good evening everyone,

Kiwi thanks for the info regarding bb, cc, etc creams.

I had a lovely bath last night pure bliss.
Does anyone have any advice on the best way to deal with hard skin on my feet?

All my skin feels really good since i started fabbing however, my face still feels and looks the same. From tomorrow i am going to ditch the daily use of facial wipes (yes i have been that lazy), and try alternating my days between my facial scrub and a hot cloth cleanser. Both products say use between 2-3 times weekly. I don't know if that's the right thing to do.

Maybe I am expecting too much from my face and it's only been 11 days.

The awful gales went away by the time i got up this morning but its sounding pretty gusty again tonight.

Have a good night fabbers and many congratulations to all the weight loosers.

    Regards
    :j

Just a quick question. Does anyone recommend a way of clearing blocked pores? I have never had spots or any skin issues other than blocked pores on my nose and I really want rid of them! Any ideas welcome.

When I had bad problems with them for a prolonged period, I used the nasal strips like these - but I always bought them from discount stores like B'n'M or Quality S@ve / H0me Bargains, where they were much cheaper than the 'big' stores.

I use a what I can only describe as a tiny cheese grater - made by Schol and specifically for this purpose - I use it after a bath and it really does reduce it and make the ahrd skin spots on my feet very smooth - do it over the bath or even outside as it does create a lot of debris:rotfl: You dont have to use it after a bath I just find it easier! I also use a specific cream by Neutrogena on my feet at night - makes then feel really lovely in the morning:D

    Morning everyone,

Just catching up after a few days of not reading. About the make up thing, I have only recently just started wearing make up again. I didn't wear it for many years and felt fine. I've started wearing it now just because I fancy a change. I think my problem in the past was that I went for a natural look and that made me feel like a fraud, as was mentioned before. Now I have my red lipstick I feel far better!

I turned 40 last week, which is exciting. With some birthday cash I treated myself to a new skirt, which looks great even if I say so myself. We've had a lovely time eating loads of cake and other delicious things so now I'm kind of glad it's all over so I can get back to normal in terms of food and hopefully those last few pounds will soon be off my body. When that happens the currently slightly too tight parts of my wardrobe will be waiting for me so I can go shopping at home!

Dry January is going well, didn't even think about having alcohol on my birthday, I was too busy having a good time! I haven't drunk any alcohol since before Christmas so that's good.

Hope everyone is feeling good and looking forward to another week.
  • Aww everyones off on Holidays sounds amazing! Lots of camping and uk touring for us. I think we will skip it next year and go abroad.
Re make up I used to wear it every day then not for years and now I have just started to it, does make me feel better, (I have vilitgo thankfully now my entire face is covered so I just look very pale!) But now I'm getting old i have sun patches creeping on as well!
It's all about confidence , it you are happy not to then don't , if it makes you feel better than do.
I have just come of floxatine , I found it spaced me out and made me detach but was a huge improvement than what I was before (sucidal) . Now I have been working on my mental well being I can honestly say I am the happiest I have been in years!

So Fabbing , new manicure and mini pedicure done, last week I did about 55,000 steps (could be more but my button reset :( ) 2 resistance training, 1 x yoga, . Mental wellbeing I crafted, (knitted half the back of a jumper) started a new book Love it!! and walked a labryth (meditation)

Off now to get dressed and put make up on . See you soon have a great monday xx

Morning All - busy day today. Voucher to get from the Golf Shop for DS2's birthday on Wednesday, appointment with laser guy for my 'spot' & a trip to M&S to see if there's anything that catches my eye that I can spend my voucher on! Windy & raining here so will try to be as fabby as possible while wrapped up to the nines! Will report back later :)

I don't really do make-up either except for on high days and holidays but since I started out on this fabbing expedition, I got into using Burts Bees tinted lip balm. I keep one in my car and then can apply a little swish of colour on my way to work if I fancy, it can makes all the difference without feeling all 'dolled-up'.

They do a range of colours, all quite sheer and some caramel and nudey ones that provide a barely there look, so you don't really need to take too much care in applying it.

:jThat's really good! I'm definitely cutting down on my alcohol intake this year, too easy to have a glass of wine with dinner. It'll help with the pounds - both money & weight wise!

Well have done well with the fabbing this weekend. Got my haircut on Saturday, back to a bob style. I love having long hair but I think a shorter style does suit me better...it also stops me pulling it back into a ponytail!

Yesterday I went to a Meet Up group, was feeling nervous and tempted to go in a t-shirt & jeans but then I thought: I need to make an effort! So painted my nails (hate doing this but they do look nice) wore my Topshop dress I got in the sales: black with a flower print, black tights and boots and styled my hair. Still felt nervous but doing a bit of glamming certainly helped! Ended up having a lovely evening, seeing a film and having a couple of drinks.

I've been using OPI's Hard as Nails polish after reading about it on here. Just wondering if OPI is the best nail polish to go for? I've been using cheap polishes which tend to chip as soon as they've been put on :o and want to invest in some nicer ones. Any recommendations?

    Hi ladies

I would love to join you! I don't make time for me much and it shows.

I am working on losing weight although I'm not certain how much needs to go. I am fit and strong as exercise isn't my problem, food is, so I probably weigh more than the average lady my height and dress size anyway. I weighed in at 81.1kg this morning and currently I'm aiming to get down to 75kg, then will reassess and probably look at body fat percentage instead.

I don't know how to apply makeup. Luckily I have good skin with just some dryness and redness which goes away if I actually exfoliate and moisturise daily. I can't wear eye makeup as I have an eye condition so I tint instead. I bite my lips so they're often dry and bleeding - that's a case of applying Blistex Relief Cream followed by Aloe Vera Vaseline but I almost never do that and I should! I did buy a tinted lip balm just before christmas but my lips are in such bad condition to begin with...

I rarely do my legs/under arms, imagine my horror when I went to see a physio for the first time and he was gorgeous. Again I know that if I epilate daily (shaving before the first few times) and exfoliate and moisturise daily I can have gorgeous smooth legs. It's just doing it!

So I think I'll start off with:
Vitamins every day (already have these)
    Perfume every day
    Facial moisturiser every day
    Lip care every day
