    Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker
    Afternoon Ladies :hello:
My apologies I have not been back until today, which means I have speed and skim read part so I could catch up from page 4 :o
It has been so busy at work as we have a new system in which changes the entire way we work, it's so long winded and tiring learning. I am only there Monday - Wednesday 9-5pm but still, it's stressful!!! This is the middle period before our redundancy date arrives in June, although this could come forward as we have got to grips with the system well apparently *rolls eyes*! I have also been catching up on work that I do a Thursday and Friday and of course have been in the full swing booking all the big things for our wedding :D - this is coming along well and I can honestly say is pretty much stress free which is nice :)

Makeup wise; I used to wear it every day other than a Sunday (unless we were going out out ;) - any micky flan fans will know :p ) I now wear it Monday - Wednesday at work and then if I feel like it or if we are going out the rest of the time, I am going to start getting back in to wearing it Mon-Fri and then if we go out again though. I just have bare mineral powder, blusher, a little under eye concealer, eyebrow pencil or shadow, mascara and lip salve (this is the everyday look.) Sometimes I will add a little brown pencil around the eyes.

I did join in on fab friday last week, although during the day I did not look fab :rotfl: I did have a lovely long hot shower, de-fuzzed and exfoliated, good cleanse of the face then toned and moisturised + mositurised all over and cellulite cream on too - just incase it works.

Eating has not been fully up to scratch last week but exercising was quite good. This week I plan to be better and I have planned meals more too. Got my water bottle on my desk as I type that I keep sipping from also. Tonight I will be at x-biking again which I'm looking forward to.

Right, apologies for a super long post! I aim to keep up much better from today onwards!!!

    Hugs x
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

I don't really do make-up either except for on high days and holidays but since I started out on this fabbing expedition, I got into using Burts Bees tinted lip balm. I keep one in my car and then can apply a little swish of colour on my way to work if I fancy, it can makes all the difference without feeling all 'dolled-up'.

They do a range of colours, all quite sheer and some caramel and nudey ones that provide a barely there look, so you don't really need to take too much care in applying it.

I love these too although haven't used one in a while. Have so many lip balms at the moment though so won't buy one yet.

First weigh in this morning following Hairy Bikers plan and I've lost 4lbs. Haven't done anything else fabby today but could do with painting my nails.

Hello and welcome to DD265 i am sure that you will fit right in with the rest of us.

Did my usual fabbing and washed and straightened my hair.

I am off out to my sewing group early tomorrow so i am going to pack my sewing bag, my handbag (with handcream in it), and pick out one of my new outfits to wear so i have enough time for my morning fabbing routine. I will be sporting my new haircut!

I'm feeling really excited about going and i know i will be feeling fab and looking fab.

So many thanks for this thread i feel so positive

    Have a great night

    regards

  • Hello all,

Well running late today so basics complete and a little brush of bronzer & mascara for work. Took to cardi's back to shop today and ended up with two pair of legging/trousers reduced from £55 to. £29 and a pair of skinny trousers from £75 to £29 all from coast they are beautiful. ( apart from 1 dress I have no going out clothes) so these are not in the daily wearing pile and going out pile. Will try them on again over next couple of days. Still expensive for me but really good quality clothes.

No gym tonight as too tired as beginning of week and I'm still either world most days every week at the moment. Classes start back tonight and thought to Friday. I've not been to many classes yet but I can feel it is making a difference already... Slowly slowly.

I'll weigh myself again tomorrow if I remember. I'm trying to go by how my clothes feel that too much by scales as o am going to classes / gym so weight will change and then as muscle develops change again so I don't weigh myself too regularly as if get too obsessed I think.

Anyway everyone I'm heading for an early night so I can de fizz and body lotion etc tomorrow before work :):):)
  • Been shopping with DD today looking for a nice smart pair of trousers. I've decided these don't exist!! Must have tried on 20 pairs, they were either baggy and shapeless or too tight around the calfs.

So instead of getting down about it, I've just decided i'm not made for trousers, and DD found me a lovely black pencil skirt for £30, which I wore for anniversary meal tonight, along with orange vest top for £1.50. I teamed this up my orange blazer and scarf and black high heels. No tights in so had to go bare legged.

I literally had 10 mins to get ready after getting back from DS2 dance, so no lippy applied and DD worked her wonders and straightened my hair.

A guy in our local pub didn't recognise me till he heard me talk to hubby, but most importantly, hubby was impressed.

I know I wouldn't have worn such an outfit without this thread, so thank you for helping me make my hubby smile :)

    Good evening lovely ladies

So good to see so much positivity and fab-u-lous- ity on here. Welcome to DD265.

Well done on the weight losses too, ladies.

Sweetcheeks - What a great shopping trip, sounds like you got some fab bargains.

Happy Anniversay Rubies - glad you enjoyed yourself and your outfit sounds lovely. I really like that orange that is around now. Your husband sounds such a sweetie.:D

Are any of you reading the KonMarie method of folding clothes and tidying up on the Old Style board. Well I decided to have a go and I spent a happy couple of hours tidying, sorting out. My wardrobes and cupboards look so neat and tidy and I seem to have gained so much space.

Just half watching a programme about morbidly obese people called Shut In - Britians Fattest people. These poor people are prisoners in their own homes and what is so shocking is these are young people wasting what should be the best years of their lives. So sad

Viewed 3 houses at the weekend but didn't find "the one":rotfl
  • LessonLeaned - thank you and yes he is :)

Going to have a look for KonMarie thanks for that :)

    Belated Happy Anniversary Ruby xx

Have played Just Dance this morning although only for 20 minutes as MrM was leaving early for work and I needed to prepare his lunch but 20 minutes is better than nothing.

Showered and applied body gel (getting good at moisturising every day now), styled hair and applied usual amount of make up.

Hi everyone, I am off to be de-frumped in a major way this morning, hair cut and colour day. I have grey hair, which fortunately for me looks as if it has been high/low lighted in several shades. Two or three times a year I have stripes of bright colour put through which fade gradually and always look good even when the colour has almost gone. I always arrange to have it done in January as a mood booster, don't yet know what today's colour(s) will be, I pre-warned OH who asked if he was still likely to recognise me, my hairdresser is telented and lovely, but I don't think that she can erase the 39 years that we have been together and send home a new me:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Congratulations Ruby on anniversary and great outfit for your celebration, and high fives to all those that have lost weight. Did anyone see What's the right diet for you on beeb 2 last evening? I found it fascination how one's genetic structure might pre dispose eating problems in some, such as the "not feeling full" mechanism, particularly if eating refined foods that don't give that feeling anyway, and as for the lighthouse challenge, I really think that I might have had a heart attack:(

I watched this programme too and as much as I felt very sorry for the two people who had become prisoners in their own home, I felt even more sorrier for the man's wife. He was incredibly rude and domineering... and she seemed so lovely, young and sweet. I have a feeling he would be even worse when the cameras were not rolling.
