  • Rose wood.. Your outfit sounds lovely..Id go with the boots..its freezing and rainy outside (well it is here) so they will kepp you warmer and dry when out yet look stylish still.

beluga Don't worry about the new groups there will be lots in the same boat as you and just as nervous. Group Therapy didn't work for me sadly, in real life Im a very private person so couldn't open up .

Have Fabbed here. Retouched nails. Make up on hair styled (just rolled under and a cute vintage look feather hair band) Perfume applied. I have my lovely huge 70s high waisted plazzo (sp) trousers on so wide legged they look like a skirt. And a beautiful polka dot blouse with puffed at the bottom sleeves and a black lambs wool vest over top . Off out to take sons to Karate in a mo. Then will come back and set my hair before taking them to Beevers and youth club. ..Have a fab day all x

  • Agree with mummy2threeboys, definitely boot weather!

Went out shopping yesterday and got some flattering trousers for work, to replace my old ones that are a size too big (have lost weight recently) :o 30% off :T and they look great (even if I do say so myself!)

Not up to anything tonight so will have a pamper evening: bath, exfoliate, moisturise and sort my nails and toenails out. Will also do a face mask.

Hi everyone, great to see all the progress being made, it's amazing how much can be achieved in bay steps.

Been to my first PT session of the year, still have the remnants of the virus and ongoing anaemia problems, so not done anything too strenuous will have to build up weights etc. slowly. Just made a lovely smoothie thing with the Nutribullet 1 small apple, half stick celery, handful spinach leaves, big chunk of cucumber and as I need lots of Vitamin C ATM made it with bottled OJ, it was so fresh and delicious, another large glass in fridge for later. Liver pate and crackers next then into the shower. I have had very low appetite for months and now I am starving, just need to find a way of eating more without putting on weight, I was quite happy at being half stone heavier, but I am liking my new BMI of 21.3 and the less weight I carry the happier my joints are:D

Hall, stairs and landing of house newly painted, hopefully this will help keep the inspiration going for decluttering, clothes and all other possessions, so that I can properly organise my yarns and craft materials.

OH is doing all the prelim planning for a 3 week holiday in Scotland, maps and guide books everywhere, need to sort itinerary asap and book caravan sites.

I so much want 2015 to be the year that I feel well and can be more active, I am going to work very hard to try and achieve it:)
The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)

I am doing excellent with my healthy eating and so far have resisted chocolate, cakes and McDonald's. I know if I have one piece of chocolate at the moment I will not stop at one so I need to wait until I am a little stronger to resist the urge for excessive amounts. That said, I have not missed it. I have also now completed 7 days of dry January and again so far I have not missed it.

Well done on what you have accomplished so far. I've had a couple of drinks since New Year. I do miss a drink at the weekend but will try to get through this one without. I did cut down really well last year and went for weeks without a drink so know I can do it. It's breaking the habit of association.

Not so sure I'll eat McDonalds again after reading the Jamie Oliver article.

I've splashed out on more Benefit today. I bought the Lemon Aid and a tinted moisturiser. Unfortunately the You Rebel has been discontinued so I got the update. The tried some on me in the shop and I was pleased with them.. I'll have a play tomorrow, maybe look on youtube as there are generally good videos on there.

    .

I too love Lemon Aid and use it daily on my eyelids only as they are pretty dark.

Nice surprise this morning - a £30.00 voucher for M&S in my inbox! So I'll use it for something I wouldn't normally buy but would like IYKWIM.
Just for info - CC cream is Colour Corrective but I've not tried any as I have plenty of foundations. !

Congratulations on your win. What a lovely surprise.

I have a Clinique CC Cream that came as a GWP last year. I've tried it a couple of times but to me it feels quite thick and very much like a liquid foundation. I'll probably keep it though and use it when I go out. Daily, I use a powder foundation by Laura Geller called Balance N Brighten.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

mummy2threeboys those trousers sound amazing. I was watching Mapp and Lucia the other day and Lucia had a pair on. Really graceful.

This thread is amazing for reminding me of things! Posture, perfume and now my dental appointment. I've just called to change mine as something has come up for next week. So all sorted, thank you ladies.:) Next job is to fix a hair appointment. It only needs a trim but my fringe is too long and it's getting lank and stringy almost within hours of washing.:(

Not a great deal of fabbing yet today but am eating very healthily. Had chicken stir fry for lunch. You'd only need to lose about a pound a week to lose a stone by Easter LL. That's very doable. If I understand it correctly, Paleo is a way of eating healthily that's especially good for people with food intolerances rather than a diet to lose weight. Are you hoping that cooking from scratch will help you lose?

ETA: Have now made hair appointment for tomorrow!

Hello everyone! Sounds like the fabbing's going well :)

My new boots arrived and they're beautiful, but my fat calves are too big so they'll have to go back :( Gutted, as they're lovely and were a bargain. Oh well, no point keeping if they don't fit, and I'll get my money back so can shop again!
I did a quick stock up at the supermarket today, and have got some soup cooking atm. Not much else going on today fab-wise, but I'm going out tomorrow so will have a bath and paint my nails again tonight.

I've been remembering to take off my make up, using a face scrub and mask, but now my skin's worse than ever! :( Has anyone else found this? I'm hoping it's just the impurities being drawn out and will go away, but it's getting me down.

Silvasava - meant yo say fantStic news on the M&S vouchers.

Maman - I think you are right about Paleo bring more about eating healthily rather than weight loss as such. However I am finding that because I'm eating foods that suit me I already feel less bloated and my tummy seems flatter.

The other thing Im noticing is that When I eat a carb heavy meal I feel hungry again within a couple of hours. However since cutting out carbs I find that's not happening.

I don't think I'm eating any more but I'm just not getting those awful gnawing hunger pains so I don't find it necessary to snack in between meals.

Apart from the little blip in IKEA I have managed to stick to Paleo since Saturday and I have to say I'm already feeling the benefit of eating in a way that seems to suit me so well.

My Fibro is responding well and my tummy is much happier. Hopefully eating clean food, using ingredients that suit me will make me healthier and reduce my risk of contracting diabetes. I think if I follow the rules properly then a slow and steady loss will be a welcome by product.

I've had a nice productive day, just potteriing about and I managed a nice walk, even increasing the distance walked today.

This evening I shall give myself a facial and a manicure and paint my toenails....

My skin has been the same, I think it is just all the rubbish coming out of our system. It could be that you might be sensitive to one of the products your using? Have you used them before? Maybe think about trying something different for a while :D

I've had a busy couple of days, FIL has been allowed to come home while he waits for his operation as he's quite stable at the moment. No fabbing done last night as was too tired.

I've had a lovely day, met a friend for lunch, and had a productive day at work. I keep thinking of all those calories I'm burning off by doing all the cleaning :j

I've had a nice soak in the bath, going to pick DD up from work shortly and then start on a bit of preening :p. Got a networking meeting to go to tomorrow so I need to feel confident. I'm not keen on the standing up and pitching your business thing but it has to be done. I'll have to dig out the nice undies, you know what they say about wearing decent Knicks! :rotfl:

I think next weeks focus for me is to start watching what I'm eating closely, the Christmas goodies should all be gone by Monday so there will be no temptation. I have some gorgeous work clothes but none of them fit

Have a great evening everyone x

Wow, everyone is on a bit of a roll - very fab.

I got myself together today and actually did perfume, make up and styled hair since I was meeting with some other women for a coffee and chat. Have stuck to my diet too which is great. Of to bed now, a bit late, but determined to be fab tomorrow too.
    Trying to keep in budget.
