Re hooded eyes, try googling make up for hooded eyes, I think I came across a really good you tube video a while ago. To open my eye area up I always use Benefit Lemon Aid, an eye lid primer, I even use it on no make up days with a little mascara and eyebrow pencil and it makes me look quite human:D
Thanks for the tip. I love Benefit so I'll take a look at that.
I've done a bit of decluttering; loads of old cards/papers and other rubbish from my desk and letter rack. It all helps.:)
Off to a meeting soon then pub meal with colleagues so need to look a bit presentable. Might wear heels to make me feel good.0 -
Hello everyone! Hope you're all having a fab day
Loving the positivity on here! I'm doing ok in my fabbing, had to go to a new place for an appointment today, in a different town so new bus route for me, quite pleased that I managed that alright. It's only a small thing, but quite a big step for me
I've emailed my local NHS diet club for more information, so fingers crossed that works out. I signed up for a course though my local mental health centre about food and mood, it doesn't start till Feb but should be interesting and I'll get a certificate at the end.
A lot of my fabbing is based around general self improvement and self esteem, so I'm really trying with that.
I've been taking my vitamins and using hand cream regularly, as well as making an effort with my make up and nails. Looks like we're staying in tonight, so I'll have a nice bath and paint my nails later on.0 -
OK - Hair in hot rollers, first coat of nail varnish on. Toothies brushed & flossed. Clothes for DS1's 'soiree' laid out. Perfume & make up next . I'm aiming to be sixty & sassy!
Here goes!!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Evening all
Thanks for all the replies about yoga, I'm going to give it a go. and a big thank you to CW18 for the PM
Today didn't quite go as planned at work, wanted to spend a lot of the day cleaning again but paperwork and customers had to take priority but I did go in looking a bit smarter (trousers and a jumper.) Yesterday was leggings and t-shirt
I've painted my nails a different colour this afternoon and slapped on some hand cream as cleaning products don't do me any favours!
I've also been watching more what I eat over the last couple of days and I did venture on to the scales and didn't weigh as much as I expected so that's a bonus! I've still got about 3.5 stone to lose though so baby steps and all that. I've tried most diets so just planning to eat less and move more to see if that will be a long term way to keep the weight down.
I think tonight I'm going to sit and repaint toenails, slap some moisturiser on and veg out in front of the TV for the evening
Have a good one, enjoying everyone's posts and it's nice to see so many of us wanting to spend a little more time and effort on 'us' :jSave £12K challenge 2015 # 173£0.00/£10,0000 -
Hello Fabbing ladies - been catching up on the thread - great to see how we're all doing.
Went to Zumba last night - it was crazy but fun - hoping I'll get the hang of it a bit better the more I go.
Managed just over 9k steps wise yesterday and aiming for same today.
Still wearing perfume every day.
Struggling to get up earlier in the morning to do some exercise though
Wore make-up today but self conscious of the fact that people noticed!
Bought my foot buffer and am really looking forward to using it tonight - how sad am I!
Keeeeep fabbing!0 -
good evening fabbers,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEEBY JEEBY!!!!!!
Today I had to leave the house at 8:15 to go to my sewing group and i thought that i would not have the time for all my fabbing, but i did. I wore my best jeans and heeled boots. I felt great even though my hair is in a sorry state and really needs a good cut.
Nice to catch up with all the sewing ladies.
After lunch i attempted to buy myself some new clothes, i am a couple of hundred pounds lighter with a few new things that i have yet to try on.
I can't do everything in one day.
My dear husband very kindly and gently told me that i was dressing a bit frumpy and dowdy, he never usually cares about that so my clothes must be a right state.
He is also very gently encouraging me to get my hair cut.
Lets keep up the great work
regards:j0 -
Quick update
Cleansed my face last night and slapped on some moisturiser 3/3.
Used the tea tree oil on my nails twice yesterday so that was a good start.
I also wore my full make up today and had a squirt of perfume. Then I joined my local slimming club tonight so that's a step in the right direction too.0 -
Hello all .
Happy birthday heebie Jeebie... Hope you are having a wonderful day
Everyone sounds like they are doing great on the fabbing front!! I went to work y-day with some makeup on ... Tinted moisturiser, mascara and a little bronzer. Nice skinny jeans ( I lost a few pounds) and a jumper ... After a day of healthy eating I went to spin class too... Brutal first time back!
Unfortunately up from about 3 am with migraine and was bad all night lots of tossing and turning despite medication. No make up today at work and a little more casual but still made an effort... More painkillers in the afternoon and that has sorted me out a little bit. Don't normally take tablets regularly but will do before bed as have struggled all night and today so don't want it back...
Glad everyone is sounding good, I have been trying to remember to moisturise body and have bought new scrub for the shower. Need to remember more hand cream during the day but little steps...
Loving this new access from tablet I have finally treated myself too. Makes reading much easier than squinting at phone... Expect lots more posts lol
Happy fabbing folks0 -
Put some moisturiser in the car, and keep applying while waiting for railway crossings or boys to come out of school, hands feel better after only 2 days, so will keep this up.
Feeling very fabulous today as my little girl (18) is back from Dublin so family is complete againLoving life to the full, just need purse full too
