Wow!! I haven't had time to log on since yesterday morning and there's pages to catch up on.:D
Loving all the positivity, it's infectious.
Just wanted to say that I had fungal infections in feet both nails and dry, flaky skin. I had it for years and tried all sorts of treatments and chiropody both through GP and privately. Nothing worked. I got so fed up that I persisted with GP (had a moan that cracking heels and thickened nails were making shoes uncomfortable and affecting walking which was starting to happen). Eventually got referred to dermatology and pills prescribed. I had no side effects but I suppose it depends if you have other ailments. Skin cleared up like magic and nails fine once they'd grown through.
Back soon.:)0 -
OK - start as I mean to go on. Weighed myself this morning
Me too. Weight has gone down since I last weighed myself early in December so that's positive. I reckon I have about 3½ stone to lose however I like to think of it in little chunks and am aiming to lose 5lbs in Jan.I've made my paleo granola for next week and pot of ratatouille.
Can I have your recipe for ratatouille please? I remember that we used to make this previously when we were being healthier and it worked a treat.
So, yesterday was not a great day diet wise and I had a glass of wine with our evening meal but now that I'm back at work and back to normal I'm more motivated.
Had Black Forest Fruits with natural yogurt and granola for breakfast, have just had a glass of orange juice, have a tin of lentil soup for lunch and am making chilli for tea.
Did get up a little earlier than usual (though not as early as originally planned) and did 20mins worth of Just Dance which is better than nothing.
This evening I could do with catching up on my ironing and repainting my nails. Painted them on Saturday night with OPI Espresso Your Style and OPI Sparklicious on top however used Glitter Off base coat which has caused most of the colour to chip off already. Not a fab sight !!Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. good afternoon ladies
What positivity and what busy bees you all are. Fantastic start to the new year.
Yesterday just flew by, I went see my gorgeous DS1 to admire his handiwork, he is doing really well with the house renovations and has worked like a demon over the Christmas break.
On the way back I did a bit of shopping and called in at one of my favourite charity shops. I picked up a fantastic full length Jasper Conran black suede fur lined coat for my niece, for just £15 - an absolute bargain and I know she will love it. I have an identical champagne coloured one hanging at the back of my wardrobe which I can no longer wear because it is too small now.
Next winter, when I have lost my weight ........
I also bought myself a nice junky bead necklace for £1.
today I finally a manged to get to the tip, although I still had to queue but not as bad as last week. On the way back I called into Dunhelm and bought a painting, and some pretty bits for my bedroom. Only spent £10 so was dead chuffed.
So some serious bargains.......
I startedlooking at holidays last night but have made a vow that I will not lash out on an exotic foreign Holiday until I have lost a minium of two stones. That should keep me motivated.......;) I have even set up a separate savings fund with my make £5 a day challenge.
Paleo is going well, I have not weaknend and I don't seem to have any sugar or bread cravings, although I have had a bit of a withdrawal headache. IT might be my imagination but I'm already feeling less bloated and uncomfortable.
I have booked any eye test for next week, and shall be treating myself to some new trendy specs. I have also booked a mammogram for later in January. I'm afraid I too need some serious dental work But am trying to hold off for a bit longer. I need implants and I'm afraid it's going to cost a shed load of money and more than a little pain. I can't face it yet, one thing at a time.
Tomorrow I'm at aiming to go to IKEA and look at office furniture so should be fun.
Right time for a cuppa and then roll my sleeves up and tackle my messy house, and then cook a nice healthy dinner.
There is just me tonight, so I shall use up the salads and some smoked salmon I just happen to have tucked away in the freezer, and of course this gives me the perfect excuse to finish off the Bottle of Rose before it goes off.......:rotfl:0 -

I use aubergine, yellow pepper, courgette, red pepper, grated carrot, onion, sweet corn, garlic chilli, can of tomatoes, basil.
I chop/cube everything and add to the one pan with the can of tomatoes and leave to 'stew' for 40 mins.
I then either have it by itself for lunch, on a sweet potatoe, in a gluen free wrap (sounds weird but lovely), I used to have it with a little pasta but I'm off pasta for January but it's great with pasta and cheese.
It's really filing and tasty too.... Mind I use a lot of chilliForty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -

Evening All!
Well my healthy eating is back on track although I would dearly love a mountain of carbs covered in melted cheese :rotfl:
Last night I was quite tired so I did a mini pamper but I may do a few more bits tonight. Today I had a nice dress on, hair and make-up done and I felt ready to face the dayTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

Thanks for the recipe. Will give it a go at weekend when I have the time.
Made a tasty chilli for tea to which I added onion, green peppers & chorizo. Was really comforting. Have also had shower using my new Liz Earle shower gel and applied the matching body lotion. Just going to repaint my nails and will probably then just veg in front of the TV.
Have a lovely evening all xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Urmmmmm :rotfl: I 'think' so. I think it's too do with the way the carbs burn, in that a sweet potatoe is a complex carb.... But maybe Google as I don't really know ha ha, I eat lots of sweet potatoe as it's so filing, and doesn't bloat me, plusit's yummy .
Skin it, cut it in to slices and roast with a little oil and chilli, here I go again with mychilli, and black pepper . I just love it.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0
