All help gratefully received. i looked at the earlier links but i found them a little over whelming.

Hi Fabbers, just about managed to catch up with posts, speed read a bit, so apologies for no individual comments, apart from saying hello to VALM - we know each other over at the naughty girl's thread aka No More Toiletries:D.

Not very well ATM, hopefully nothing too serious, but will take some time and more tests to fix, so absolutely no energy or get up and go. but I am making an effort with my appearance, wearing nice clothes, make up and perfume. I have been sorting our spare [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] room today, needs must as someone coming to decorate on Wednesday and need space to move "stuff" to. Put out 10 items of clothing for CS, will probably regret some of them, but I have far too much.

Thanks to a reminder seen on MSE, may have been here, bought a kettlebell from Aldi, trying to use that and dumbells every day to, hopefully, stop me loosing any more muscle tone. 2015 is going to be the year of becoming as well and as fit as I possibly can, no reversing joint problems, but hopefully can not deteriorate too much.

Great to see lots of new and returning faces, LL you really made a great place to pop in to when your started these threads:T

  • Hi fabbers!

So nice to see so many new faces - and welcome back WW, nice to hear from you. There is so much positivity on the thread at the moment :j
Today I did LL's famous mirror test which is the catalyst for finding you again. I have unkempt (and today unwashed) hair, a dry face, unruly brows, dirty nails and creased clothes! Admittedly today is a bad day - I'm home alone for a few days and I'm working from home so little contact with anyone else but I can do better!!

My NYE mirror test spurred me into action and already looking better. My hair is washed and straightened but it's very heavy at the moment and needs a good cut so I'm going to make an appointment for the weekend and brave a new hairdresser again.
I started to bite my nails last year which I still don't understand as I've never bitten them. But I've resolved to stop biting them as it looks horrible and have stopped, I just need 2 nails to grow a little more and then I'll treat them to some colour :rotfl:
I've shaped my eyebrows and started a proper moisturising regime and it looks much less dry already. I might check out the Benefit Brow Bar recommended by someone already.

I haven't really changed my diet but I'm making an effort to eat breakfast although we're only 1 working day in!! It's my birthday tomorrow so plenty of goodies still around and out for dinner tomorrow night.

Weli l did quite well last night.

Gave myself a manicue whilst watching tv and did a base coat and two clear top coats, Then today at work a pen leaked and has stained the underside of three of my nails - grrr. Will try a scrubbung brush unwder the nail to see if it will come off otherwise I will have to take the polish of and start again. Ho hum.

Cleansed my face and put moisturiser again. 2/2 nights.

Today back at work so had all my make up on which was good as I was getting to the stage at the end of term where I was using eyeshadow and lippie but nothing else.

Had a squirt of perfume too and was amazed my work trousers still fitted after the xmas and new year indulgences.

Tomorrow's plan is to join my local SW group in my next attempt to be fab.

evening all, I've had quite a fab day today. I went out for a long walk with the dog and also ate well and healthily. I'm a bit later to bed this evening but I can lay in a bit tomorrow so I shall get my full 8 hours.

Tomorrow's fab plan is to continue with the healthy eating, get a good walk in and also clean up the house - it's not exactly fab for me but i will feel a lot better if I get it done as it's beginning to bother me.
    Trying to keep in budget.

    Evening fab ladies!

Today has been hard work! My arms ache from all the cleaning but I must have burned off a few calories:T

I've had a long soak in the bath but that's all I could do tonight. Will moisturise and hand cream before bed. More cleaning tomorrow so I will try to look like a glamorous cleaner. I much prefer to be suited and booted but it's nice not to be sat at a desk all day :D

Just out of interest do any of you do yoga? I'm sure I read that someone did ..... My question is can you do it if you're overweight? :o

I'm thinking it might help with all the tension in my shoulders and back?

I'm very impressed with those of you that have done the mirror test, maybe I'll get round to plucking up enough courage to do it soon.

    Have a lovely evening x

Went on a 5 mile walk to visit 5 shops today. This always helps with my posture as I take/wear a backpack - and today it was the turn of my 50 litre pack, which means support the full length of my back.

Before such a walk I normally have a 'lick and a promise' and no more, but today I went through my full morning routine including body spray :)

    Yes and yes.

At 5'2" I shouldn't weigh much more than 9.5 stone (top of weight range), but I've been doing yoga at over 11 stone in a class, and over 12 stone at home. There have been larger ladies in the class I was attending the first half of last year (until I broke a wrist), and it's only ever a case of doing what you can / folding yourself up as far as you're personally comfortable with. If you have a good teacher that's not a problem :)

My very first attempt at a yoga class was dreadful - the male teacher almost screamed at you if you didn't do something 'properly'. I didn't go back until I head that he's been ousted and the gym had brought in someone else who seemed to be quite popular.

I'm considering heading back to try the class on Wednesday, but the teacher will be warned I may have to miss out loads / leave early. The style they do in the class requires a fair bit of 'hand flat on floor with weight on it' which my wrist still isn't totally up to (seem to have pulled a muscle / sprained a tendon crawling around after GD4 a week ago), but I have DVDs at home that I'd chopped around to remove exercises that require that - and I still have quite a lengthy yoga workout that I can do :)
