Hello all, hope you are having a lovely weekend.
Rubies4eva glad to hear you had a lovely evening in the end. As others have already commented, many of us have felt the way you did at one time or another but hopefully we'll all have fewer and fewer of those feelings as this year progresses.
The outfit you put together sounds lovely (anything with sparkles lifts my spirits!).
Yesterday went to hairdresser and got grey roots covered up and feel so much better, had taken to wearing a hat all the time as got fed up seeing them.
Showered, mega moisturized, and wearing smart casual outfit today with jewellery and makeup applied. Really couldn't wait to get up and dressed this morning as I love working out new ways to put outfits together.
Went for 30 min walk but very foggy and cold here which helped increase the pace as couldn't wait to get back in the warm.
Today gonna spend time getting prepared to go back to work tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a great day!G/C Jan £138.64/250

Hello Everybody!
I just want to jump in here and commit.
My hair is a mess after a disastrous pre Christmas haircut.
Eyebrows looking sparse, have started taking a thyroid support supplement.
Need major orthodontic work and tooth repair. Will make appointment to see specialist in London tomorrow. Will cost a fortune but hopefully fix overbite, snoring, sleep apnoea and posture apparently. My fear is that they will not take me on as I am 50!
Scraggy neck: I think due to weight loss (sometimes can't win!) thyroid, and posture see above Overbite and Overjet. Have been exfoliating and moisturising with a Vit A and Vit C cream. Expensive :-(
Tummy overhang but have lost weight and I am getting there. Am starting a juice detox come Paleo effort.
Invested in an IPL Christmas pressie to self and have carried out one whole session of hair everywhere!! Sadly they say not to use it on nostrils darn!
I had my varicose veins lasered last year after previous NHS treatment years ago. One leg looks great the other, not so good. I need to go back and see man about that. I've dreamt for years about wearing summer frocks and this year there will be no stopping me.
I have ugly big feet with fungal toe infection and a toe nail missing.
I think that's enough to be getting on with. Ha ha.
Good luck and love to everyone!0 -
Glamorous tips for today :
(1) When swapping thick, wooly socks for tights it is much easier to put the tights on if you remember to remove both socks first not just the left one.
(2) When telling your husband about the daft sock / tight incident make sure you are not wearing your dress back to front.
(3) After laughing with husband about the sock thing and the dress thing do not turn around and have husband point out that your dress is tucked into your knickers :rotfl:
On a high point - exercised again today, shaved legs and styled hair too.0 -
Started well. Last night took all my make up off before bed and then
applied some night moisturising cream.
This morning I showered and then put on some daytime moisturing cream, a squirt of body spray and some tinted lip gloss iefore heading out to get the supermarket shopping. I normally don't wear make up at weekends to give my skin a rest as I wear it at work all week, but figured some tinted lipgloss would be fine.
Picked up some tea tree oil whilst out as I have a fungal infection in one toe and have had it for ages. have tried the normal over the counter products which cost a fortune but no luck. saw my GP but he was strongly against the tablets due to the side effects so have done some more research and this seems to be a reasonable option. Will start tonight and see how it goes - can't be any worse than it is at present!!0 -

Some people I know swear by putting Vaseline on the nail - not sure if it works but worth a try!0 -
Afternoon, All
Well, I'm kind of slobbed back the way I was...but only because I've spent the morning romping round the house playing fab games with the kitten and cat, and finishing off chores. I then went for a lovely fabbers walk...in sunshine with bright blue sky....fabbers - about 2.5 miles, so not far, but enough to perk up my mood, and make me realise how unfit I am!
So, having read up on all your fabulosity today, when I was going to slack, I'm now going to turn the water on, and when I come back from settling the chooks for the night, I'll pamper myself with a long soaky bubble bath and another face mask/lots of body lotion, while my Sunday "lunch" is cooking.
I have managed to keep off the alcohol and chocolate :T, and have eaten healthily (though probably the portion sizes are still too big, so that's the next thing to work on).
I'm working from home tomorrow and probably some other days this week, so I will be in my scruffs mostly, but I will be soooo clean and moisturised underneath...I will be giving my skin a rest from the small amount of makeup and perfume I use, though. It also helps the savings a little, too.
Where do the weekends go? I seem to have lost this one, somewhere!!

evening all
just checking in before the onslaught of work begins tomorrow
I have been and had my eyebrows threaded (OUCH but the look FAB!!!)
I have also set a reminder in my phone to ring and make an appointment to get my nails 'gelled' (only had the vouchers since April)
Oh and I've made a good start with the new healthy eating planGo hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0 -
Have dug out all the bottles of perfume from the depths of my dressing table and tried a different one each day. I have decluttered all the ones I don't like ( will offer them to friends) . Have never bought perfume in my life so what do you recommend I buy. No shops near me sell perfume so it will have to be an online sale which is why I am asking for recommendations. This fabbing bit has gone too far :rotfl: as I forgot the earrings last night and wore them all night.0

Hi all been lurking for a few days but thought I'd join in with what I've been up to today. Don't usually spend much time on myself so feeling really pleased with myself today.:T
Got up earlier than normal and went out for a lovely long walk about 5 miles,it was really frosty and cold so made me walk a bit faster but lovely and bright and dry.
Then back for a shower, defuss, moisturize and applied perfume. Felt so much fresher and better after a little pampering.
Trying to loose some weight so had some cereal instead of a bacon buttie for breakfast/brunch and tonight it's chicken pie,veg and roast tatties cooked in low cal spray.
Also trying to cut down on booze which is going well also so all in all feeling very positive for this year.
Will try not to just lurk in the back ground though this is probably where I will fail,lol:rotfl:0 -
Evening all,
Thank you VALM re the moisteuriser.
My fabbing is going well I am off for a soak in the bath, a good shave, facial scrub and i have plucked my chin in readiness for the dentist in the morning.
I am hoping that my basic fabbing will become habit someday soon.
I am enjoying reading everyone's posts everyday as they really cheer me up.
Regards:j0
