Thanks chanie you're right and I've made my mind up to leave but truth to tell, the extra cash is going to be handy in the run up to Christmas so I'm trying to grit my teeth and stick it till January.
Hope you enjoyed your day.
indie thank you, too:) your lunch sounds delicious! Have a fabulous weekend x
Lazy, sofa day for me today. Still feeling a bit under the weather, and very guilty for not going in, but I think I really needed the time out.
OH is cooking tonight so after a long day's rest, I hope to be a bit more chirpy tomorrow0 -
To the tune of leaving on a jet plane.....Peter, Paul & Mary. :rotfl:
All my bags are packed
I'm reading to go
the taxis here
he's blowing his horn
....well he will be tomorrow morning bright and early.
All in one large case, neatly rolled and samoased - thanks to MArie Kondo.
I can't believe how much I've managed to cram into one case. Weighs a ton, mind. I bought a new case, one with four wheels so hopefully easier on the back. I will just have to flutter my eyelashes and be generous with tipping everyone.;)
Im not going to attempt the underground from St Pancras to Victoria coach station with such a heavy case - I'm going to splurge on a taxi. Plus of course I have upgraded my rail tickets to 1st class so I shall be travelling in style.
Lady Grantham eat your heart out.......I think I'll have to wear my coat with the big fur collar in honour of the occasion.....:rotfl:
Just my handbag to sort out, water the plants, dinner and then a nice rest this evening.
Bought myself a gorgeous new handbag yesterday - more like a "business bag" that you fit a laptop in, lovely soft mid brown leather, half price bargain at the designer outlet. I decided to spend some of dads money on it. It will last forever so will be something to keep and remember him with. It will swallow up my ipad, camera, kindle etc with ease.
Ooh get me, with all the new gadgets. I'm turning into a techie....:rotfl:
Ellsbel, Chanie, Indie, hope you all feel better soon. Chin up, stiff upper lips and best foot forward.
The good times will roll again.
The ship has wifi so I'll try and post you a progress report........
Bye for now, stay well and keep up the fabbing whilst I'm away.0 -

I need to up the fabbing. today I saw some photos of myself and it was a bit of a shock  The excess weight I knew about however the grey skin, dull hair and eye circles really threw me. I know it is a cliche but the photo was a real wake up call.
Yes I need to trim down however there is no excuse for me looking less than glam while getting thereSo this weekend is operation sparkle
I am going to make sure that I get a decent amount of sleep, healthy eating, walks in the fresh air with family and on Sunday a head to toe pamper session. No more frumpy photos for me!
Oh and I need to get some new straighteners too as my hair is taking on a new life of its own now that my GHDs are not heating as warmly as they used to.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
The early nights have been going well
however the weather has (literally) put a dampener on the walking :rotfl: Instead I have turned to some house fabbing to keep me moving and with a neat and tidy house comes a calm mind which will help the fabbing.
As I never seem to find clothes that fit and flatter I have dug out my sewing machine booked myself onto a refresher sewing course with a view to doing a dressmaking course once I am back sewing again. I appreciate it will take a while before I become good enough however it is something to aim for. Plus the more things I have to do in the evening the less likely I am to snackTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

It all counts rummer. I've got some sewing planned for coming weeks but it'll be soft furnishing rather than dressmaking. Completely agree with how good a neat and tidy house can make you feel better.
I've had a good pampering session this morning as DH is out. All washed and creamed from head to toe and hair blow dried. No real plans for today so just clean jeans and a top. It's been so mild lately that tops I normally wear for layering have been enough on their own. Doubt it'll last though:(.0
