Frugal Frump to Fab - 2015

Afternoon All
I've just waved DGD off and now have an hour to relax before I go off to work. It's really warm here and we've been out for a picnic and walk through a local beauty spot. I had my hair done earlier as I'm off to a family do tomorrow.
Today I'm wearing a sleeveless calf length floaty Per Una dress -white Broderie Anglaise with big pinky purple flowers. I wore it with flat white shoes for walking round, and pale pink bead necklace and bracelet. With my hair in its just out of the hairdressers shiny smooth bob, big sunglasses and a slight tan I felt very Fab. I am also getting people commenting on my weight loss now which is great. I have lost 10lb since the beginning of the year and 2 inches off bust, 3 inches off waist, 3 and a half inches off stomach and 2 inches off my hips. 10lbs in six months is very slow going but hopefully it will keep coming off to get me to my target of 8st 12 eventually. I am eating really well and don't feel as though I'm on a diet so am happy to keep eating like this on a long term basis. I feel really fit and healthy and all the early morning swimming and running in the sunshine before it gets too hot has given me a nice golden glow without even trying.
It should be nice and cool at work tonight as we have air conditioning but I shall have to remember to take a cardigan as it can sometimes feel almost chilly when it is running full pelt.
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.

After a long fabbing break during which I just kept myself presentable I am back in the fabbing groove

We got back from a lovely relaxing holiday during which I made sure that each and everyday I took the time to properly take care of my skin and started taking a daily vitamin. To further my good work I am going to book in for a haircut and HD brow session this week.
Maman we will be off to Tenerife next summer so I am using that as my timeframe for losing weight, toning up and generally being fabulous.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Hi everyone, hope you are enjoying the lovely weather. Sounds like there are some lively summer outfits. I'm really struggling with clothes at the moment - in preparation for my holiday in a clue of weeks, I'm not defuzzing, but it means I look like a yeti. Role on my waxing session.
frugal fabbing
Here is what I've been up to recently:
Body brushing - in preparation for my holiday, although I don't have much.
Deodorant - I've been using the sure maximum deodorant, as I'm a real sweaty betty. It was on offer in superdrug so I picked up a couple.
Face cleanser - my skin is quite sensitive and I'm trialling a new cleanser from Lush.
Oil pulling - my mum bought me some oil, so I'm trying this. Still early days, but I'll give you my verdict in a couple of weeks.
Footner - I bought a similar version from Amazon and did it last night. If all goes to plan, my feet will start to peel over the next few days and be lovely and soft for my holiday.
not so frugal fabbing
I've had a splurge for my holiday:
Tankini - from bravissimo, expensive, but is well made.
Shorts - first pair in years.
Dress - lovely black midi dress
Bras - in dire need and the make my figure look much better
Kaftan dress - more than I wanted to spend, but the nicest I'd seen.
Tom's - was planning on getting a pair of espadrilles for,my birthday in September, but they were on offer for £15 less, so I thought I'd better grab them.0 -
Wasn't looking so fab after a weekend of painting garden furniture and planting - oh my poor hands  but garden furniture is looking great - what was a tatty old wooden table is a delicious shade of blue. Still got 2 chairs to paint but the sudden downpour meant we had to grab what we'd just painted and run inside with it.
Time for serious fabbing - last night I coloured my hair, did a manicure and pedicure (used my new micro pedi gift set and feet look loads better). Did face scrub and mask, then face oil and body lotion. Woke up feeling better
Off to work today and will be wearing new to me white White Stuff shirt and light jade Boden linen trousers with white hush puppy shoes with flowers and bees on. Perhaps with a turquoise necklace. Getting my hair cut after work.Crazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000 -
Which is today!!!
Who would have thought, all those years ago, when this was in th charts, London was swi ging and being a northerner was cool.:rotfl:
I never envisaged I would ever be this age. It wasn't part of the master plan!!!!
Anyway last night boys took me to see Minions. I can thoroughly recommend it, just the right blend of clever witty script and sheer silliness, the jokes, one liners and visual gags just kept coming, you had to be really quick. And the soundtrack was just fab. A really fun time - just what the doctor ordered.
Tonight too going out for a meal in a posh italian restaurant. Not quite sure what I'm wearing yet. See what the weather brings. This morning I need to do some pottering them I shall get all fabbed up later.
Rowan - love the outfit, turquoise and white looks really fresh and summery.
great fabing here Chanie. And good for you to treating yourself.
It's nice to have a little splurge sometimes.0 -
