Hi rummer.. I know what you mean about sports clothes and being unflattering- although some are better than others. It's nice to have some bits that you like to add in I think it it encourages you too.
Well done on your family cycling getting fit and out and about- win/win

I think you are all right on the hair- I feel that even if I'm not doing much more at least having hair cut & eyebrows waxed makes me feel much better... I always have to control myself not to go mental with tweezers the week before waxing appointment.

Coconut hair treatment sound great Susan do you just add some & sleep in it and was out in the morning? ( I have fine hair so I would next to wash hair twice in am) .. I'm interested in that. I do believe you right about the frugal skin & hair care- I only squandered my vouchers as they were for the beauty hall & with 10% off deal too ... Had free gifts on and the 25 year extra size emis so felt like it was enough freebies & discount to be a good deal & it was free and I have new make up & I have lots of perfum. Although I have been using more regularly ( thanks LL for reminders)

rose well done on dress altering. I wish I had these sorts of skills.. Glad it turned out well :) hope you won at the quiz too :)

Yes, we did win the quiz Sweetcheeks - £70 shared between 4 of us. I spent a fiver of it in the charity shop today on a new hairdryer as mine has been cutting out when it gets hot. The new one is an Omega with a concentrator nozzle and did a good job on my hair this afternoon. I also bought a picture for the bedroom from the charity shop so need to persuade DH to put it up.

Any suggestions as to labels or styles? The leggings are fine, often they are quite supportive however it is finding tops that I think is tricky. Often they are lycra and skin tight which with my curves is really not a good look. I was thinking maybe yoga clothing might have a more flattering fit.

I am pleased with my hair cut and my eyebrows are getting there but I will need to keep going back to get them in a better shape. Over the last few years I have been doing them myself and they need some TLC.

We went on another bike ride and I am convinced that I am getting worse! After having to dismount twice half way up two not very steep hills leading to much huffing and puffing I then tried to turn a corner and cycled into a fence :o It was not my finest moment :rotfl:

    Good morning everyone

Just giving a lazy day today after my house leaning blitz yesterday. The weather seems much improved so will get out in the garden, go for a walk, do some exercises, but first some Fabbing. Face mask and eyebrow tidy today.

Re sports clothes. -you have to,keep your ear to the ground but Lidl and Aldi often have good offers on sportswear. Aldi did some nice yoga wear a while back.

Talking about hair I need yo get booked in, and the dentist soon:eek:

    :rotfl:

Diet not going too well.:o. Must do better.

    :hello:

Back from holidays and having a catch up. We had a great time and I'm feeling healthy and looking nicely tanned.

That's the good part but far too much eating and drinking happened and I know I've put on weight. I had to pour myself into jeans for the return flight and all the gain seems to have settled on thighs and hips.:(

So my first fabbing task is to do a meal plan and shopping list and get back to healthy eating.

Sorry if I missed a few birthdays while I was away: belated best wishes. :)

LL, it took me about 10 months to lose 3.5 stone on SW and I read somewhere that George Osborne has done much the same on 5:2 so your target for the wedding sounds very doable. Are you doing your 'Personalised Paleo' method?

    Back soon.

Hi Maman.. Glad you had a lovely holiday and are well rested:) :)

Rummer I use legging types too but yes I agree it's nice to have something over the top. I either wear a bra top ( slightly bigger ones like crop top) with a baggy type of vest or yoga ish style of top over the top so that my dignity is covered enough but the looser top is more flattering and keepsme cool but I'm covered enough also and comfortable for excersise if that makes sense?!

Been keeping up with the cleansing twice a day & the rest. Desperate for a decent nights sleep- last two nights haven't been great- last night tossed and turned all night.

Been keeping up as healthy eating as possible but aye twirl tonight at bed time but hey... It's a treat. Dinner was healthy. Off to Dublin next week for few days so excited :):):)

    Thanks sweetcheeks.

We had a great week in Dublin last year. It's a lovely city. We bought passes that we could use on the service buses, airport bus and the hop on and hop off so really good value and when we bought it a guided walking tour was thrown in.

rummer, I saw the sweaty betty sale catalogue today and they have loose tops that might be suitable. They're really expensive, even in the sale, but it might give you an idea for wearing loose 'over tops' for a better look.

I've had a good day of healthy eating so feeling a bit more positive about my thunder thighs.:) Today was out of the freezer stuff plus some fruit that DD1 had got in for us. Tomorrow I'll get a shop in of healthy stuff.

My skin was feeling a bit parched after the sun especially round my eyes despite lots of moisturiser on holiday. That'll be a priority for the next few days. The shellac has been marvellous while I was away but I'm thinking of not replacing it and giving my nails a chance to grow through completely before I have it again. Put cuticle oil and lashings of handcream on tonight.

I did read back about footcare: personally I've not found anything much better than a file although it's not easy to find a decent one at the moment. What I would recommend is having a good pedicure or better still a chiropody treatment as a starting point. It's not cheap but they'll remove all the hard skin and cut your nails properly so a good base for creaming and filing at home. I'm still using up various foot creams but feet are a good way to use up any moisturisers that don't suit your face.

Am continuing to use rice milk & collagen soap and rosewater as toner, and have noticed a definite difference in the texture - much softer and the crow's feet aren't quite so obvious.

Using charcoal toothbrush (bamboo with charcoal coating and very fine, soft, pointy bristles) with charcoal toothpaste and I'm not sure, but I think they're getting a little whiter. More importantly the extra fine bristle are getting into the tiny crevices between the teeth next to the gums and my mouth definitely feels fresher for it. Have also booked a dental check up that's well overdue ...
    Looking ahead

    Welcome back Maman :D

Susan tooth care is so important. I have a real fear of the dentist however I now go every three months to get my teeth cleaned and every six months I get checked by the dentist. In the interim I have a wide array of things to use to keep my teeth in order.

Been keeping up the fabbing and managing healthy eating through a range of social events. After years of trying different diets, fads, eating plans etc I have decided to just relax and enjoy food with a view to keeping a sensible approach.

After thinking I looked quite good today my DD asked if I had drawn my eyebrows on today :rotfl:
