Happy birthday for yesterday MaddieMay!
I am getting my hair cut after work today. I hate getting my haircut but hopefully I will like the results. I wish I wasn't feeling so awful with this hay fever or cold!No more goo hoarding!

I actually wore shorts in the garden earlier this week, the white pasty legs are a sight to behold (not). I have bought some of that lightly tanning moisturiser stuff, so need to de-fuzz, use the body scrub and then try it. I have bought a new pair to wear when away in our caravan (smaller size that will stay up hopefully), my legs are not too bad, a bit skinny, but I figured that I am unlikely to see anyone I know LOL.
PT worked me hard, with heavier weights this morning, I had been planning to see if I could remember how to ride my bicycle later, but feeling weary now. I will do some chores, eat some fruit and then see how I feel later.
LL - I am sure that you will achieve your desired weight loss, you have had a lot to contend with over the last months, but hopefully you will get more time for yourself now.
pirateyqueen - I hope that your hair cut turns out well, I hate styling my hair the first few times after a new cut. Mine looked lovely yesterday and I will need to do battle myself tomorrow (or wear a hat LOL - according to the weather forecast I will need a rain hat!)The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. Ladies, talk to me about foot fabbing. Anyone got one of those machine thingies that get rid of hard skin? If so, which one have you got and does it work? I keep doing my feet with a pumice stone and putting lots of cream on but they still feel like little hooves by the end of the dayCrazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000 -
Rowan moon, I am lucky that my foot skin is not too thick or hard and I find that my Ped-egg does the job nicely. When I remember I cream my feet with any old stuff that needs using up and wear socks to bed, or for the evening reading/watching TV, that and a dollop of normal body lotion/butter seems to keep them looking OK.:D
Not sure if she is reading along ATM, but our lovely member AND swears by an Aldi footcream (urea?) and I think has done reviews on some of the "machines" that are available. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
rowan I have a foot roller and its fab. I had a ped egg, which worked, but my roller is so much quicker. I have a micro pedi and I buy the fake rollers from Amazon, which work well.
Another thing you can try is footner. It's these socks that make your feet peel and you are left with lovely soft skin. I haven't tried it, but have heard good things about it. It's quite expensive, but there's are cheaper versions, I'm about to order one from Amazon called purederm, which does the same job but much cheaper.0 -
Haven't posted for a while as haven't felt fab for a while. Luckily yesterday I got home from work and did a mini facial. Was sitting in the sunshine with the OH enjoying a cup of tea when he decided to go for my blackheads!! excruciating but my skin felt so much better after and then I decided to try my new rice soap (I'm sure someone on here recommended it but can't remember who?) It was fantastic - massaged it it and smoothed off with a wet flannel. Then a homemade mud mask and finally used up a load of serum and face cream. Even now it still feels much better - very soft. I should let him go for my pores more often LOLLooking ahead0

Just popping in to say hi:)
Still not feeling the fab at the moment - especially as I've got a rotten cold that I brought back from holiday!
Off to a concert later and conscious that I really don't look my best right now! Oh well....
Interesting to read about the foot treatments - I've never been troubled by rough skin on my feet but lately that's changed and I definitely need to start giving them some extra attention.
Have a good day all x0 -
Hi everyone. Fab Friday, How did we do.
Well I'm going to fess up, I look like a teamp, hair a mess, oldest togs and dirty finger nails. I have been up to my elbows in compost, planting up my garden, so a lovely day im th fresh air. Done a ton of washing and a big kitchen clean.,
I shall have a nice long soak inthe bath witha face mask this evening - if I have enough energy left. If not, then tomorrow morning, without fail.
Re the feet, I just use plain old unbranded petroleum jelly. I use it on my feet, knees and elbows. Cheap as chips and works a treat. If I do it often enough then I tend not to get a build up of hard skin. i just use a footfile when I remember.
Tired now, a little rest then cook dinner and call it a day.0 -
Well today I put on a dress with black tights and ankle boots, so feel quite nice (and cooler!) in that. I had my hair cut yesterday and am pleased with it, although my problem is I hate the natural texture of my hair. It's so slippery, fine and straight, and I love textured messy hair. I loaded it up with product this morning but this afternoon it is back to it's straight self!No more goo hoarding!

Maddie and Chanie, that's for the foot fabbing advice. I'm thinking of treating myself to this http://www.boots.com/en/Micro-Pedi-Premium-Gift-Set_1540285/ it doesn't get good reviews on the Boots site, but on Amazon it does. Thought I would use my Premium Bond win.
Susan what is the rice soap you are using? Sounds interesting.
Ellsbel hope you are feeling better soon
LL we all need a slob out day now and then so that we really see a difference when we fab up :rotfl:
Pirateyqueen your outfit sounds lovely. What is it about hair, we always seem to want it to be different to how it naturally is
I fabbed today as we went to a 40th birthday afternoon garden party. I wore some nice Hobs jeans, a summery top and Masai cardi in pale jade, make up on and hair done. also my new electric toothbrush arrived and I've just tried it out. My teeth feel soooooo clean. I just wish I had always looked after my teeth this well.
My ear is getting a bit better and my hearing is returning so that's my good news.Crazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000
