    Belated Happy Birthday, Sweetcheeks.

Maddie - hope you are ok. That can't have been pleasant for you, get some rest now and take care.

Just a quick catch up, would you believe after that horrible virus, I ended up with cystitis. Talk about being fed up......

    Ah well, onwards and upwards.

Maman enjoy taking your fabulous self to Harrogate.

MrsCD go you :j Well done for getting off to a flying start with your healthy eating.

LL oh no, cystitis is horrible, poor you. Sounds like stress has given your immune system a battering. Just a thought (and no need for you to comment on it if you'd rather not) but when you feel up to it I wonder if going for some counselling might help? Sounds like you have been through so much and I hope you start to pick up soon.

My fabbing this week has consisted of colouring my hair and buying a few new clothes to fit in with the capsule wardrobe I am trying to style. Today I will make a hair appointment and arrange to go to the dentist to get a couple of fillings redone (they don't 'need' doing, but they have discoloured and I feel a bit self-conscious of them).

Keep up the good work fab folk :T

  • Maddie hope test go okay. LL sorry to hear your're still under the weather. I seem to have some sort of sinus bug myself at the moment. Hopng to feel better by the weekend as we hope to meet up with my sister in Anglesey.
  • Going for my first ever manicure at lunch today. I have a nail that I caught and has started to break, so my friends suggested getting a gel manicure to protect it until it has grown out long enough for me to trim it off without it hurting. I am going to a wedding on Friday so having nice nails will be nice!

    Hello lovely ladies

Glad to see you are all busy fabbing away.

I went to Physio this morning - feel better already - and then popped into Sainsbugs for coffee and a mooch round the Tu clothing. Thanks for the heads up on that Maman, bought myself a dress and three tops for my "spring collection":D - basically to just fill in a few gaps.

I really don't want to spend much because I am really committed to try and lose some weight soon.

I bought my boys and my DIL to be some Easter eggs and of course I treated myself to a couple of mini ones as a gift from OH.....:rotfl: so realistically the diet starts properly next week.

Tomorrow I'm having my hair cut - can't wait I think it will give me a bit of a boost. Then I'm aiming to start some facials and some intensive skin care.

I don't know about counselling. Emotionally I feel fine, it's just physically that its all going pear shaped. I have decided that, after the funeral, I am definitely going to have a couple of mini breaks - and I might go visiting various friends who are dotted around the UK. I think that might be just as beneficial as counselling. I'm not ready for a big holiday as such.

Then I think next winter I will make sure I have a holiday somewhere in the sun to break up the winter a bit.

Enjoy Harrogate Maman - lovely place.

Thank you for your good wishes everyone. Nothing horrid found during the investigations, the biopsy results will take about 3 weeks, looking forward to getting those to see if they give us any answers. From today I am on a low gluten diet (self imposed) need to get my body settled from all the gluten foods I had to mainline for the tests:eek: and then start up on the iron again.

LL - rotten luck re the cystitis, I hope that you can shake it off soon, mini breaks sound just the ticket and it is always good to catch up with friends, especially if they live in different areas. Have a good visit to the hairdressers, I love a new haircut.

verynewmoneysaver - I hope that you are feeling better soon and able to enjoy your visit to Angelsey, we visited there for the first time last Spring, it was lovely and would like to go back and see more.

Pirateyqueen - I hope that your manicure is great, gel polish nails do look so glam (just remember to soak them off properly or have the salon take them off, don't pick at them, or your nails will be damaged, there are good instructions on the interweb or I can find you a link if you need one)

    Sweetcheeks - belated birthday greetings.

Maman - have a nice time away, I hope that you return with some roses in your cheeks:D

Mrs CD - that is a great starting weight loss, well done.

Rowan moon - I am sure that the dental work will make you feel happier about life. My teeth have gone very dull and yellow, I have proper whitening trays made by my dentist and really need a huge kick up rear to make myself wear them for a few days:(

chanie - yuk to the headlice, horrid little beggars they are.

cw - Good luck in sourcing the hand creams, some of the little tubes really seem to last a good time, the freebies I had were from Glamour magazine which costs £2 and the hand creams are usually top quality and you only need a tiny amount.

    Hi Everyone,

Maddie - hope your results are okay.
LL - enjoy your hair cut
piratey - enjoy your manicure - I've never had one either.
Rowan - what new clothes did you get?

Im having a fab Thursday - this morning, I got up and put my make up on and but too the time to do it nicely and I felt so much better.

I came into the office today to find my Benefit dupe highlighter had arrived. The Technic High Lights is £3 compared to £20 for the Benefit version. Normally, I do go for premium brands, but as its a 'nice to have, but not essential' product, I thought I'd try the cheap version and I'm pleased with it.

Thanks for the tip on the Sainsburys sale - I'm going to pop in tonight and buy a few bits and pieces for the children.

    .

I got a blue Phase Eight top and some Boden linen trousers from the charity shop, and a very lovely Phase Eight dress from Ebay - grey background with navy butterflies. I've also ordered from Ebay teal coloured Karen Millen jacket so hope that is ok. I sold loads of stuff , so am using the money in my Paypal account to buy some new things.

    What's everyone doing for Easter?

Tomorrow I'm going to a place where they rescue wildlife to so some volunteering. Mucking out probably, so not much fabbing there :) the have a couple of 'tame' foxes who they have raised from cubs.

Saturday I am going to get my birthday pressie - a bike! I haven't had a bike for my birthday since I was about 11, so very excited. Also should help me to get trim :D

Monday is my birthday, so out for nice lunch with my man and a chance to get fabbed and wear something nice.

Now I'm off the clean the house (not very fab) but I will put some loud music on and sing along.

  • I got a nice cotton mix jumper in the Sainsburys sale. Thanks for the tip. Having a day in bed trying to shake off this bug for the week end. It seems to be getting worse at the moment. I had some shellac nail polish but didn,t have it removed properly and it took my nails ages to recover. Infact I got a cuticle infection. They looked nice when they were done though! I had a bike last autumn Rowan. Having riden it much over the winter but aim to do more when the weather better. My OH can't tide so can't keep me company.

Session with PT today, felt that I was able to do so much more and not wiped out at the end. Can being GF/very low Gluten for only 4 days really have made that much difference, or is it all in my mind? (I was having to eat twice more gluten than normal for the challenge anyway). Fingers crossed that it will last. Bought grapes and pineapple as well as the usual fruit so will freeze some in batches for the Nutribullet.

I hope that everyone is having a good day, sun shining here and warmer than expected, would like to garden, but so wet in the night, might be better letting it dry off a while.

We are due to meet SS's new partner for the first time tomorrow, so need to fab the house a little more, I can see some dust that needs to be dealt with:(
