March hasn't been a bad month for me keeping up with my routine :)

Both the hand cream and lip salve I introduced in the last few weeks are becoming a lot more instinctive, though I feel the hand cream still needs to become more instinctive beyond my morning and evening routines.

my appointment is not until 14:00, no fluids either from now on, so off to do some pampering to take my mind off everything.

    Soon be over Maddie.:)

cw, I'm much the same with handcream. I do use it enough to keep hands in shape but I know I could use more. I think one tip is to keep small tubes in various convenient places so in the sitting room or kitchen or desk drawer or handbag not just in the bathroom where I do remember as part of my daily routine.

I had my hair cut on Friday. As my usual hairdresser was away until after Easter I risked it with a junior. I wasn't over impressed with the blow dry (thought it looked more old fashioned page boy than sleek bob) but washing it myself yesterday she has cut it well. Big bonus was it cost hugely less than with my usual senior stylist/owner.

Off to have manicure done today. I'm away over Easter so need to get myself sorted with a few outfits. Mostly smart casual but a few nice bits for eating out too. At the moment it's just a case of making sure everything's clean (washing blowing on the line as we speak) then I can choose what to take.

Still feeling very washed out: more how I look than feel but I am really desperate for some sun.:)

I have in my en-suite and in the living room (and in wash kits I take elsewhere). Rarely out in the car (so no point having one in there), don't work (so no desk or locker), and don't actually like keeping it in the kitchen (do try to remember to apply when I return to the living room after washing the pots though).

I don't use handbags, but the small pockets on my (3) backpacks are already pretty full (tissues, eye drops and lip salve with just about enough space for purse, phone and iP0d) and I'm not sure how easy it is to get really small containers of handcream (or really small containers to decant into which would be my preference) without spending an absolute fortune on them

Maddie I'm thinking of you and hope it is all going well.

Maman where are you off to for Easter?

cw18 I like he small hand creams that sometimes come as freebies with magazines.

So, I had a lovely surprise yesterday. A while ago I took a subscription to a magazine and should have got a bare minerals gift. Gift didn't arrive so I contacted them and they sent lovely Clarins gift insted. Then yesterday a parcel arrived - Dr Hauschka rose nurturing bath essence and rose body cream and a letter saying sorry we didn't send your gift! I feel a bit of pampering coming on this weekend :T

Oooh what lovely gifts, really quality products. Enjoy your pampering!

I'm off to Harrogate rowan. I'm at a conference but there'll be time for a bit of sightseeing and evenings for eating out. It's a beautiful place, great buildings and lovely countryside on the doorstep.

Shame you don't have a lot of space for the hand cream cw. I was thinking more of the 30 ml or 50 ml sizes like Nivea or Neutrogena. IF I ever finish using up all my lotions and potions I'd use Clarins Jeunesse des Mains every day. That's my favourite. I suppose when it comes down to it a lot of this fabbing is down to habit so we need to keep plodding.:)

Nails all done so now I have scarlet!! Not a complete manicure just a bit of a cut down, shape/smooth and shellac. After Easter I'm going to get my feet done. I'm planning to go to the Scholl shop (I think it's called Shuropody these days) to make sure my nails are cut properly then I'll paint them myself.

25% at Tu in Sainsbury's today. I didn't need any clothes but I treated myself to new slippers and basic, black leather ballet pumps so will now throw old ones in bin!!

    Hi all,

I am as bad with the hand cream, and I used cuticle oil as well. Usually use it madly the day before I go to get my nails done. As if she can't tell I haven't been using it!!

I got my hair cut and highlights too maman, the usual girl who does my colour and the girl who blow drys it have both left but I have to say I really like the girl who drys it now.. Much better.

Wander around the shops today after training but it's that strange between seasons thing going on I think. Birthday money might be going on a holiday or weekend away instead I think. Thank you for birthday wishes. Only another two days at work then fri/mon off for Easter... Looking forward to it. Oh is working and doesn't get public holidays do will have nice lazy days I think :):)

I hope you enjoy Harrogate maman, I have been before but it was years ago with my gran. I seem to recall a lot of afternoon tea but then our trips always do.. :)

As someone who doesn't buy any magazines, I assume they tend to be on the pricey ones? (the glossy fashion / hair / beauty type that many female work colleagues thought me odd for never being interested in)

I certainly never got any freebies when I used to buy T@ke A Break, and even that's outside my budget for such things now ;)

I've just finished off a tiny bottle of shower gel that came home from a hotel, and am wondering if I could use that for hand cream (the one upstairs came in a pump bottle, and the one downstairs got decanted from a 'large toothpaste tube' that was cracking apart into a travel pump bottle - so I'm guessing either of those might work for tipping out of it in small amounts).

cw - have you looked in the holiday section of Boots/Asda etc.? You can buy small tubes of just about anything. I have a small tube of Nivea Q10 (I think that's what it is!) handcream to take on holiday, which I keep in my case, but it would be ideal for a small handbag/ backpack as well.

I'm getting my hair cut on Thursday so I'll be ready for Easter, and I've been trying to lose weight for the last week as well, and so far I've lost 3.75 pounds since last Wednesday morning. I'm cutting right down on carbs and eating lots more fruit & veg and just the same amount of protein, apart from more Greek yogurt on my smaller portion of cereal. I still don't feel hungry, even though I'm having less bread etc.

From a quick trawl of websites, the best options I've seen are....

A 15ml size at Superdrug or Asda - currently £1.20 each or 3 for £3 which would give me one for each backpack. Not sure when I'll next be near a Superdrug, but OH goes to a large Asda every Saturday so could ask him to try and pick up for me.

Or Sainsburys have a 30ml one for £1.20 on buy 4 get cheapest free - so only an extra 60p for heaps more handcream (120ml total instead of 45ml). But if I think they'd last for a decent length of time I'd rather have the smaller ones due to space in the sections I use in each bag for toiletries (remembered tissues, eye drops, and lip salve earlier - but also have hand sanitiser I'd forgotten about).

Guess I need to try and work out how fast I'd get through it ;)

    Result!!:T

Slimming World has a new plan for kick starting weightloss called SP (stands for Speed Food and Protein). The speed food is most fruit and veg and the protein can be meat, fish, eggs or pulses. It's recommended 50:50. Then just a very limited amount of dairy and cereal on top for health.

Sounds like you hit on it accidentally and it's working.:D
