I can recommend getting a battery powered foot file as it rally does make quick work of filing your feet. I have the Micropedi. The replacement rollers are £10 for 2, but I buy unbranded ones online which are £10 for 4 and do the same job.

I went to the dentist this morning, whilst I was there asked about an old filling which is at the side of my mouth. I can see it in the mirror when I smile and am a bit self conscious about it because it's silver - I would like it replacing in white. She said it would need to be done privately and reckoned about £100. So I am going to save up and then before I have the next big photographic event (e.g. I get married or something) I will have it done.

Ooooh! Any plans we should know about?;)

    Good morning lovely ladies

Looks like a glorious day, so i going to wash some knitwear and get it on the line. such a simple pleasure but I love being able to get stuff dried in the sunshine.

Yesterday I sat out in the garden, the bliss of feeling the sun on my face. I will get out there again today..

DS2 is "proper poorly" today, bless him so it's my turn to pamper him.

DS1 and his girl were due for dinner tonight but I've put them off, no point them bring ill as well.

Have a great day, hope you've got some sunshine too.

Lesson learned I was just thinking the same - get that washing outside :) now, if only I could remember what I did with the rotary drier at the end of autumn.

I got fabbed up yesterday to take daughter for birthday lunch. Had a lovely time but was kicking myself when we returned to car (6 minutes late) to see parking warden slap a ticket on the windscreen.
Oh well, got to let it go and move on.

How infuriating!! I think they are going to introduce a period of grace but too late for you.:(

I'm going to go into town later and definitely get myself some new glasses. I don't wear them much (mainly just driving) and I've been dithering over which designer pair I fancy but won't commit to almost £200 unless I'm sure.

    I like these

but instead I'm going to get something like this

so I can get rid of my ancient 'granny' glasses while I make my mind up!

I'm fortunate in that my prescription has barely changed for years so I've had no need to change them.

My have a bit of a potter around and treat myself if I fancy anything. There's a few bits I need (eye cream and flat black shoes). Although sometimes when I'm not looking for anything is when I get my favourites.

Here we go again. Mum has had another stroke. Spent most of yesterday by her bedside. Think this is it now. Just about to go back in today.

Also received a phone call from dads consultant regarding someone pre op tests for a procedure he has booked for next week. Dad has now also just been diagnosed with heart disease, in addition to his other problems. Tbh they are all probably linked anyway.

Not sure where we go from here.......

Back to the nursing home in a minute.

Feel like Death warmed over myself if I'm honest.......

LL - so sorry, why do all these things happen at the same time. I hope that your dear mother is comfortable and not in distress, oodles of virtual hugs and supportive vibes on their way to you. Take care of you as best you can.

    xx

P.S. sorry did not mean to miss out on your father's problems, I hope that the procedure will still be possible if that is the best thing for him.
