    Morning all

Happy Christmas Eve to you all.

Kittens appear to have had a good night and are happy this morning so I'll sort their breakfast. Once DH is out of bed at 7 I'm starting the wrapping. I may let the big cats meet the little ones latter.

Lynne - I'll see if I can copy pictures from my facebook later (can't remember how I do it :o)

Narco great news that DH will be home soon, healing vibes for your Mum.

Bossy hope you have a great day with DS and DD

  • Brilliant news Narco! Have a lovely Christmas.

I have been up since 5am with a really sore throat. I cant be getting another cold straight away can I? My body is telling me to rest I think.

So a fairly easy day today getting final things ready. I have just been a bit naughty and ordered a skin care gift set in the sales for myself - my MIL is giving me some cash for Christmas I hope!

Have a good Christmas Eve everyone, going to lie on the sofa and shut my eyes for a bit x

Morning all. Glad the kittens had a good night Dusty and brilliant news Narco.

DH has said he is ready for another dog of his own since losing SickDog, oh my, I'm not sure I am, three is always a handful!

Right, only one more sleep, so I'd better make sure DD and her BF have somewhere to lay their heads tonight.

    Have a great day everyone.

I have been lurking this week and not posting like I have been but am here in spirit with you.

Only jobs left for today are HHI x 2, make sausage rolls and do some prep work for the day itself.

Narco - pleased to hear OH should be home for Christmas
This is the only good news I have heard in the last week.

A friends nephew was killed in a car crash in Malaysia, the Glasgow tragedy and another friends dad was rushed into hospital over the weekend and is not expected to make it back out.

We are due to be spending Christmas Day with these friends but have plans in place should everything change at the last minute and they have to go up north.

I probably won't be back on for a few days so wish you all a safe and Happy Christmas and look forward to flying in 2015.

    Best Wishes
    Gilly x

Valli oh that is so sad news about your friend.
Narco that is brilliant news about your OH, what a wonderful Christmas present for you :j
Dusty so glad the kittens are settling in. Although we never split the bigger cats from the little ones when we got ours. Just let them get on with it and establish who was going to be boss, funnily enough there were no fights. I've always done it like that and as long as the elder cats have their own space to run to it has always worked. Hope your bigger cats take to the kittens :)

Well I have printed off the list for today, my niece stayed overnight so she can help me with stuff today. Unfortunately I have been told off by the hospital on Tuesday, when I was at group, because I was using my arm, even though it was slinged, so they are looking at casting it, or bracing it so I can't use it at all and am not tempted to, in the new year when I go to the fracture clinic..ugh!!!! Have to get more painkillers plus some codeine now. Found out why they didn't prescribe me any strong painkillers, it's because of my concotion of meds I'm on...

Oh well onwards and upwards, have to get dressed now my niece is up...

Hugs and spoons to those that want them...don't take too many as I need some too :p

Lovely news, Narc0 - what a great Christmas present :xmassmile

Yesterday evening I managed to make the finger puppets: a dog, chicken and duck for DGD2, and an elephant, lion and monkey for DGS3. Quite pleased with my efforts :)

DH has gone to play on the steam railway today, so I haven't got a car and have all day to myself :D I have switched on the coloured lights and the radios on in every room - all tuned to Classic FM, though with the digital signal getting through half a second faster than the analogue they are slightly out of sync! - and have done a quick tidy round. It feels very Christmassy. As soon as I've opened the last door on my Advent calendar and had my shower I shall get on with my list:
    - strip our bed
    - WM x 3
    - clean bathroom and ensuite
    - hoover up- and downstairs
    - remake our bed except for the duvet cover, which I can't do easily on my own
    - make mince pies
    - sweep and mop kitchen floor
    - finish wrapping and bagging presents
    - tidy the study bedroom
    - prepare veg for tomorrow (I remembered to get the frozen Christmas puddings out of the freezer earlier this morning ;) )
    - hm fish and chips for our tea!
    - ....and r-e-l-a-x!
    - midnight service to take us over into Christmas Day.

I will call round to see my friend when DH gets home at about 5 pm - but if necessary I can always get the bus up to her house or walk along the lane. I am still smiling about the young man who was so helpful yesterday :) I rang my friend and told her about him, and she was really grateful too.

I will update again later, but to those whose family celebrations start today I wish you all a very happy Christmas and a good new year. Give your flying wings a deserved rest for a few days!

If anyone needs spoons today, I emptied the dishwasher before breakfast so there are plenty in the drawer. (((Hugs))) to all x

Gilly big hugs and coping vibes.

Natty thanks, kittens now have the run of the house except for the DR and kitchen as that is where the cat flap is. The big cats met them this morning, they were not impressed and went straight back to the DR, kitchen where they spend 95% of their time because the Aga is there. They are back asleep in the new 'kitten beds', pretending the kittens do not exist. Kittens are back on DS3's lap after tiring themselves out.

All presents out and on my bed so off for an hour's wrapping now.

    Morning All

Well I've had a bath and been to Mr As so I've made a start.

    Fantastic news Narco.

Binmen have already been so as it was recycling day I emptied as many boxes as I could before they came. Next job on my list is to finsh the DR and then finish the LR - both of which I partly did yesterday.

    Have a good day all

    Hugs

Kiddies loved their North Pole breakfast but DS has one frown on his chart so far :( but there was another incident where he stopped and thought :T afterwards I gently pointed out how much nicer that felt without getting cross and having a time out :)

Dining room done, festive cloth and placemats out. Need spare chairs getting out.

Gammon smells lush. Might finish it off in oven.

Next steps are to get us all dressed. Then make stuffing!

But DS wants to play so I guess we'll get a few toy cars out...
