I need to dive back in again. Too much has been happening in my head, but at long last I really do think I am seeing more daylight than darkness.

Off to collect my turkey (ordered) and then my click and collect shop, and then home to do the last of the wrapping.

And of course I need to make sure I am back in the swing of things to tackle the ironing mountain before New Year.

Great so see some of the stalwarts are still here. See you later.

Valli just seen your post re your Mum's NDN's DD; may her Journey be a peaceful one; and my condolences to all who loved her. Life can just be so unfair sometimes.:(

HB There's only one thing would tick me off more than visitors turning up unannounced; that would be if I'd psyched myself up to receive a visitor and they didn't show!

Thankfully all of today's official list is covered – though Ronnie's put a load of biscuit crumbs over the carpet again :D – because I'm unable to do much at all, my back is so painful. I've taken extra Oramorph, and put the infra-sonic device on it, and still even breathing hurts.:(
Oh well, I've done the important stuff, ie seen to Ronnie's needs (well, he can't see to himself, bless him), it's easy dins tonight (jacket spud, cheese and baked beans) and I've blagged Mr LW into doing one of his wondrous omelettes (known here as Omelette With Everything) tomorrow, as they're likely to knock off work early.

The only stuff on my desk that “shouldn't” be there are 2 Mensa mags, a copy of Companions (PDSA in house mag), Wolf Print (UK Wolf Conservation Trust) and Pagan Dawn (dated Samhain), none of which I've had time to really look at, and if I file them away they'll never get looked at!
Plus Ronnie's Xmas stocking (one of those things with a toy and various dog-treats, sent by his folks), which we'll give him on Thursday and do his holiday pic, as my camera date-stamps photos.:o

Re bins: I went on the MK Council website a couple of days ago and got the holiday bin schedule, so we'll be putting our stuff out at the proper time. I only had a pink recycling sack to go today; insufficient bottles to make the blue box worth putting out, and only a tiny bit of stuff in the bottom of the black sack.:o

Right, I'm off for the twice-daily battle to get Ronnie to eat.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Phew! Kiddies went to friends for 2hrs and I finished up work! Hurrah!

Kiddies were hungry so food made and currently being scoffed. Made myself a lovely salad while theirs was cooking so since I couldn't resist I'm eating now too.

Have some catching up to do tonight, but the gammon is in the slowcooker already (it's huge, and will take aaages) so we are on our way to Christmas!

    Jobs tonight:
[STRIKE]Vac upstairs before kids in bed
    Get kids in bed ;)[/STRIKE]
    Clean bath and tiled floors
    Make up spare room
Get sofa throws in wash and vac / wipe sofas.

Then I might have me a small glass of something!

I have just been to the Social Security offices to hand-deliver my friend's application for a Blue Badge. The man who took it from me dealt with me in the kindest possible way, said that we have filled the form in properly, she fulfils all the criteria and her application will be approved, and when she goes to have her photo taken she will not even have to get out of the car to go into the office, instead they will bring the camera out to her. How wonderful!- his kindness was Christmas spirit of the best possible sort :T

The other official called early about the Attendance Allowance application, before I got there, but it is now dealt with and again is likely to be approved and backdated to November.

I had my manicure and even managed to start making the finger puppets while I was sitting with my friend over lunchtime.

Feeling lots better in myself this afternoon, also because I have somehow managed to lose the 2.5 lb that I had put on before last week's SW weigh-in, so I'm back to my lowest weight for about 40 years in time for Christmas :D

I need to cook tea now, as DH wants to go to model railway club tonight!

    Not started the wrapping.

    Dropped cards and presents off.

Kittens have arrived. They seem to be settling, have started purring and one has started rubbing it's head on my face, this was after they had had their first meal here! The big cats are not meeting them today!

Off to do 15 minutes tidying up before possibly moving kittens so DS2 can do his tutoring lesson in DH's office where they are.

Oh that sounds positive ionafan x

What a lovely start to Christmas dusty hope the kitties settle in nicely and don't cause too much havoc!

Well, DS is in bed! He was warned. He keeps singing songs and replacing words with rude ones. He's been told numerous times. So I called him out to sit on the step. He then denied he'd done it - which made me more mad, then started the back chat, which was his third strike. He thinks I'll let him out of bed. I've just taken his teddy up and he's sat up. I said "you may as well lie down because you're there for the night, pal". He looks crestfallen, but I can't be having the lies and backchat. He's been warned that any Christmas presents will be taken away if he carries that nonsense on.

Going to get DD ready for bed the. Some milk for her. She's eaten loads and keeps showing me her "big tummy" lol. She's shattered too and will be up to bed in half an hour.

    Gah! ;):p

Ooh Bossy, they'll be getting all over excited now.

Tomorrow morning before the paid stuff will be inflating a double mattress and getting bedding ready and a last sort out of finances before Xmas.

I had hoped to knock off early tomorrow to go and get my hair done but my lift has vanished.

    See you all tomorrow.

Mrs B lovely to hae you back

Bossy standing firm now will pay huge dividends in days, weeks, months and years to come.

Kittens are snoozing on DS3's lap, they are very interested in The Simpsons, I don't think they have seen tv before! They are so sweet and purr like mad when you stroke them. Big cats are asleep in the new beds bought for the kittens, they are a huge success.

It will be dinner time for DS3 in a minute though so they are going to have to be moved.
