£433.59 paid to the loan account today, leaving the balance at £11603.81
There will be an interest credit too, but I won't know how much that is until they will write to me in the next few days.
It is a milestone to have the loan amount less than £12,000.
My next interim target is to get the combined balance less than £14,000
Total Owed now £14014.78

Paid = £24340 -
I havent paid anything extra off yet - Im not counting my minimum payments to the various cards, Id like to do the 4k as extra if I can rather than not.
Do have a few things on ebay, and off to try out this Zummi or whatever the musicmagpie-alike that takes books as I have lots to get rid of - if I can get shot of some and get paid its better for me than taking them all to the charity shop - I feel a bit mean, but I give a lot to them throughout the years and right now my need to pay things off is more!!Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -

I'll leave it until next statement so that I can pay off any interest (which will hopefully be just pennies) and then close the account. Vanquis will be out of my life forever! Hurrah!

Do you want me to update your total? I just need your total paid to date, and your original figure e.g. #12 £345/£5,678. My brain (and my spreadsheet!) can't keep up otherwise :rotfl:0 -
Well done everyone, that total amount paid off is creeping up daily, keep those payments coming in. It's a long way to pay day for lots of us, especially having had an early pay in December, but we're getting there! The expense of Christmas will soon be a distant memory

I was a bit non-MSE today, but I'm going to be stubbornly unapologetic... I've booked regular sessions with a personal trainer at the gym. He's £15 for half an hour, and I'm going to see him every other week. I figured health is a bigger priority than money, and I'm distinctly 'behind' on my health. 2015 is the year I get debt and flab free, plus I really want to get out mountain biking again but am nowhere near fit enough to.
He had me doing boxing and intervals on the rowing machine today, and when I was finished I stood up and the blood just drained out of my face and I felt like I was going to throw up. It's been a while, I'm so unfit again. :mad:0 -

You're my number neighbour! Well done getting off the mark :T0 -
LOL that sounds so cute-number neighbour

I already know I won't hit my goal this year as I have decided that moving house is a bigger priority. But I'm leaving the amount as it is for now because if I can get moved before the summer I can then throw a lot more at the debt. It's all on 0% but it's the fact that it's there that bothers me now.Debts Jan 2014 £20,108.34 :eek:

It's moving house that put us back into debt - we moved across the county for my work and we'd been renting before so needed pretty much everything buying for the house - then last spring decided we needed a new kitchen after finding a massive leak (the kitchen was grotty already anyway but could have ignored it for another year if it hadn't completely broken! Did you start your new job this week?

Sorry I was in such a hurry to get it written down this morning (so I wasn't late for work) that I wasn't very clear. I paid another £100 off (money came in from self employed job) which gives me a total of £1090 off this month
You do an awesome job of keeping up to date with us all posting :T0
