I've made my first payment! Hurrah!
We were paid some money owed to us this morning and as soon as it hit the account I transferred all over to the Credit Card so I wouldn't be tempted to spend even one penny!!

It was beautiful today, wasn't it! Where in Lancashire are you? I went to Leighton Moss this morning and all the reeds were crystallised with frost, it was absolutely stunning. Cold, though!
Thanks Pablosammy. I've just paid another £200 off my debt but I'll wait until my balance is updated before declaring it on here. It's amazing how little you can live on if you are focused. I guess it's like weight loss. If you have the deprived mindset then it's unbelievably hard and inevitably fails but if you are focused on the positive then it's much easier to avoid temptation. I've listed another couple of things scheduled to go live tonight so fingers crossed for more sales :T
I've been thinking of running the Manchester 10k in May in memory of my friend. He did it for many years for his favourite charity and so it seems fitting. I'm torn though as this is the BUPA one so is not only £38 entry but it's got approx. 40,000 runners and I don't like crowds... Thinking of maybe doing another 10k which not only costs less but has less people and still raising money for his charity... what do you guys think?
I'm over in the Pennines where it is seldom nice weather so yesterday was a rare treat0 -
£21.20 added to debt payments! Just finally 'sold' the books - just need to ship them now... hoping that assigning the money to the debt will make me do the final hurdle of getting them to the post office!

Another £7.98 for the returned items too (the other £10 has been earmarked for an unplanned lunch out at the weekend!).

I am making it my mission to honour him by making sure I live my life to the full and not wasting it. I am paying these debts off as fast as humanly possible and using the freedom to live my dreams. No more coasting through life :A
Sorry, that's probably a bit heavy considering I'm a newbie

Just caught up on the forums, by the looks of it a few of us are going through some really tough times at the minute with redundancies, bereavements and household repair bills mounting. I am hoping that all this bad luck is out the way at the start of 2015 and does not continue.
Its been a tough few days for us, my DS age 15 was rushed into hospital early hours Saturday morning with anaphalxis - no idea what triggered it but was very scary. He's still not right and on a very high dose of steroids atm- awaiting an emergency appointment to immunology.
Then today went to hospital with DH and he has to have surgery on Wednesday to remove an unusual abnormal white growth in his mouth (they wanted to do it today) - very unsettling time.
Just when we have decided to throw all our energy into becoming debt free this year, it may turn out that we need to be concentrating more on our health.

Hello - just a quick question...Can I use the payment on another challenge against my DFBXmas2015 goal? Joined the extra payment each week thread and skimmed bank account to pay off £12.26 to my B/C. Is this cheating? I'll wait to see if this is allowed before updating my total.:D0

What a rotten week Kitty, sending healing thoughts to your family.
