Recalculated my debts and realised my total to repay is actually £5105.43, so slightly less than I originally though.

Have paid off the outstanding amount onmy loan early so currently stand at:

    £418.67/£5105.43
  • I just want to say a big thank you for all your words of support. It's lovely that you have all been so nice especially seen as how some of you are going through your own problems (Kitty, I hope they get better really soon xxx) :A :A :A

I have just put £160 in the bank from fleabay sales and christmas money so am just about to log on to transfer it all to my credit card. I'm hoping that I can clear this 1st card within 2-3 months and that they will then send me a 0% offer so I can shift some of the debt to no interest. I'm currently on 91% "used credit to available" (don't know the correct terminology!) so I can't apply for a 0% credit card until it's below 70%. I've even tried to get a consolidation loan  (I know I know but I was only going to choose one that you could make bulk overpayments too) but got rejected... I'll keep plugging away at it and try to get it below 70% asap!

Thank you for sending the link through Pablosammy. I think I'm going to do the Salford 10k in September as I've done it before and it's quite a nice one. Plus they have the entry fee on offer for £13 so it means that it's potentially another £25 to go to the charity instead of to Bupa Great Run administrators or I could use some of it to get a photo of my friend printed on a T-shirt for the day :A.

Hope everyone is doing well, the debt busting totals look great so well done :T

    xxx

Another payment of £35 today from counting up my change jar.
    So total of £642.17 / £3878 = 16.55%
  • Made another payment this morning of £258.74 which means that my Vanquis card is finally paid off :j:j:j

I'll leave it until next statement so that I can pay off any interest (which will hopefully be just pennies) and then close the account. Vanquis will be out of my life forever! Hurrah!
