Morning all - me again (sorry)
£385 paid to hubby's Barclaycard this morning - hurray!
So updating... #85 £907/25,000 3.6%0 -
Just spent the last hour catching up on the thread - I had it saved in a tab to get around to reading and when I refreshed the page there were another 11 to read!! :rotfl:
Love this point of the year when everybody is really motivated and getting organised :T
My only resolution this year is to stop using shopping as a hobby. I'm constantly looking online for things to buy or actually going out to buy things I don't need and I never have time to do things I actually want to do because of it!So I'm trying hard to make a point to read more (free books on my kindle or books that are cluttering up the house already anyway!) and generally sort out my house and my debts
Sooooo off the starting blocks for this year's challenge :
#057: £253.25/£8202 = 3.1%
Under £8K - woohoo!! :rotfl: I need to return something I ordered online so when that gets refunded I should be able to pay off a bit more but that may well be it for January - I don't get paid until the 30th _pale_0 -
Rubywhatashmoo - I'm a bit like that. Bored? I'll look online, I won't buy anything... 5 minutes later, oooh but I NEED that! I'll buy it...
£25 for me today! OH bought me a handbag for Xmas using £100 cash plus a £50 voucher. I don't like it so we are returning it and I'm going to try and get something using £50 cash and the £50 voucher - hence today's payment (the other £25 has been eaten in YNAB somehow...).

Well I got my first NSD of the year yesterday :T Today I already knew was going to be a spend day as I need a new calendar and a wall planner. Going to see if I can get them as cheaply as possible.
Oh and Asd@ has @lpen bars on offer at £1 so I'm going to stock up on those as my whole family loves them and so constantly nick from my stash... :rotfl: My little niece came and snuggled with me this morning in bed watching a cartoon and we shared one :A I love that little girl sooooooooo much :heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls
My poor sister weighed herself yesterday and thought she was a stone lighter than she is...the batteries must be going! She's gutted todayOh yes, must remember to get batteries :rotfl:
I put my treadmill on ebay last night and have already got someone asking if I have a Buy it Now price. I've given them a figure so hopefully they'll agree and that will be another £100 off my debt.
To be honest, this debt isn't actually mine. I own my own company (there are 4 Directors - family business) and last year we had huge financial difficulties due to our software company. I checked their contract and they are only liable for the monthly fees and will not reimburse for any losses sustained by us because of them :mad::mad: Needless to say, I kicked them up the bum for 6 months and it's now fixed but we suffered terribly and thought we were going to have to let go of our employees and even had plans in place to call in the administrators  Luckily, we all managed to weather the storm but it meant putting a lot of debt on us personally. We're doing much better now and hopefully we should start being able to take small amounts out of the business to pay us back :j Then it's on to saving for a house :T
In the meantime, I'm stuck paying whopping interest rates on my credit cards as I have used 91% of my available credit so lenders won't let me have any more even though all I want to do is get a 0% credit card to transfer the debt. I even applied for a debt consolidation loan but got rejected...Oh well, I should be under the 70% threshold sometime over the summer so I should be able to apply for a 0% credit card again and then it's plain sailing to get rid of it all.
Blimey! I wrote an essay, sorry guys:o:o

Hi all! Happy New Year
I found the new thread and am signing in with a target of £3,500 this year please.
I have the OH on board with a money saving blitz this year, so I'm quite hopeful£3,500 is what I think I can achieve if I have no bumps in the road, so what I need to do now is work on some suspension to help smooth out the bumps!
Good luck this year everyone!0 -

PABLOSAMMY
I'm sorry to be a massive pain but could I change my total to reflect my total debt?
After filling in my diary on here I have realised that it will give me an overall idea of the amount of money I can dedicate to paying off debts over the year. This is more important than seeing my percentage get to 100.
If this is okay could #033 target be updated to £49,404
(I have to admit to amending the amount from my diary to include the overdraft which is already paid off and the extra payments I made end of last month)
£1k emergency fund (#33) £140/£1000 10.4%
DFBXmas 2015 (#033) £3,328.76/£49,404 6.7%
Sealed Pot Challenger #474 £16.27/£100 target0 -
And now, thinking about my new amount, this includes interest. So I think I need to include the interest saved when I make an overpayment when working out how much I've paid each month?
Hmmm, I think I will, but if it's wrong, I'll jiggle things about to make the totals 'balance' at the end of the year
Goodness I'm such a spammer!

I think I'm going to start saving £2 coins again. Just need to buy an unopenable jar!
I wondered about doing the pound a day challenge for Christmas too but hmm0
