Quite baffled and disgusted. Rang up one of my short term loan company's today and despite finishing my loan 14 weeks early and already paying over £190 in over payments, on a 32 week loan of £960 with interest included in that figure I will only be saving £65 on interest out of the £360 original planned interest amount. Fuming isn't the word. Bye bye debt. Can't wait for freedom.

Hey guys!! Sorry its been so long!!
RIGHT - i have managed to secure some extra evening work so the extra pennies are going straight onto my CC as additional payments. I am determined to get a chunk of this paid by xmas, even if it is not the full balance. It has now been about 6 months since my last CC app for 0pc bal trans was denied due to poor credit. I checked with experian and a missed payment had been logged so hopefully by now my score will have improved sufficiently. If i can manage to get one even if its only for part of my current CC balance, it would help so much to make a dent in the balance. The alternative is a loan but the best one was with HSBC and i currently have a payment agreement with them to pay back my old bank accounts OD, so i dont think they would accept an application from me.

    Any thoughts on this?

These are my ONLY TWO DEBTS LEFT!!! I so want to start 2016 better off! As it stands i predict by Jan i will have paid off my old OD debt of £800, and hopefully reduced my £8000 CC down to £6000......

    fingers crossed......

Used the £200 I borrowed off my father today to pay off my 2 loans early saving me nearly £100 in interest but paying him back next week. Not adding him to my total.

Hi Pablo....Can I change my Target please? Having looked at what I can realistically do and also stretch myself a little...I need to now say that I can aim for £3500 paid this Year...

I know that seems like not very much but I'm not on a massive income and I will be really pleased if I can pay off that much this Year :)

So right now I'm at £789.28/£3500 (£2710.72 left to pay)

    Hi everyone :hello:

Finally online and back in control of the finances - bought an old, very old house and am now letting out my modern property, so hoping the rental income will boost my debt-busting.

Have juggled and swapped and squirrelled money all over the place and am hugely delighted to report that I have paid off £8736.10 since the beginning of July :j

    New total #85 £17,532.67/£25,000 = 70%

It really looks like I'll be able to reach my target for Christmas, which makes me VERY happy!

    Hi all,
Another furniture payment takes me to 70% of target total for the year :j
    Have updated in signature.
Probably should have paid more off this month but we are going away in September so im keeping some money aside. Whatever I don't spend on holiday can go into debt repayment on our return. We are staying with 2 friends who definitely have an extravagant lifestyle so it might be a challenge to get them to rein it in a bit! Looking forward to it though.
Hope all is well with you all.
    Baby due 21/06/2017 :)

    Payday payments of £818.50 bring me to;

    #75 £5999.16/£18624.98

Applied for the new HSBC account - after that £240 incentive! Fingers crossed! Think Xmas this year will be a step too far now. Have bought a few shares on a work scheme that I can sell next April - that should get me very close... but Xmas comes before April :(
Also we found out we are expecting child #1 in November which is ace news, but certainly won't speed up my debt busting!
